The Magi's Circle

[vampiric]

I sighed, scratching Ajax's snout. He growled happily, snapping at me playfully. I laughed, and he crawled around me, slapping his tail against the ground occasionally. I decided to maybe go and walk around Lake Lakira.

[TxCat]

Lycara turned as she saw several magi riding a...contraption down the stream that appeared to be drawn by Sohbeks. Curious, she walked up to the shore, Fenris following along. She adjusted her hold on the kitsune cubs and asked, "Excuse me, but what are you doing?"

As the sled whizzed by a second time, Jessamine howled, "taking young sohbeks to be with the rest of my comanions. But this batch isn't mine. Help!"

This isn't one of her better tought out ideas; Cap'n Jack has just discovered it's deep enough for him to wallow and that's exactly what he does. The magi in the sled, his companion included, are about to be tossed to a bunch of strange, angry sohbeks.

[FennecFyre]

Lycara blinked. Oh dear. They were about to be tossed into the drink with a bunch of freaked-out crocodilians. "Uhhmm, hold on! I'll see what I can do!" She tried to think of a spell to get them out of the way of the Sohbehks. She set the kitsunes down and focused her energy, trying to dig deep into that well of magic Magi possessed. The water near the sled began to glow, and slowly, steadily, the water pushed on the sled, slowing it down. She didn't know if she could bring it out of the water, or even get it to stop, though. The Sohbek pulling it tug against the magic, tail thrashing. Despite this, she managed to bring the sled close to the bank. "Everyone off! I can't hold it much longer!" The cubs covered their eyes. Fenris watched the tan crocodiles, ready to intervene if necessary.

[vocalia]

Destiny's bark promptly distracted Argene and the other Winged Cats. The felines waited until the pup was within their range before piling up on the Temple Pup. Having spend their time playing with Vocalia's Tenera Dogs and her own Temple Dog, the cats didn't fear dogs as much as their other kin did. Strangely enough, Yumei was content to sit out of the puppy-burying game and focused her attention on Casira the Emerald Wyvern hatchling, licking her wings and nuzzling her.

"Nice to meet you, Miss Kairi." Vocalia replied. She was always polite towards other Magi, sometimes to the point of being considered old-fashioned. The short Magi looked at the Lunestre Dragon hatchlings sitting on her palm before looking back at the pile of black and white with Destiny's bark heard from inside said pile of fur.

[Karzarill]

"I understand your concern." Vocalia nodded. She had a similar problem with the Winged Cat brigade, made even worse by the fact that even as adults, the winged felines always seem to put their paws on anything they could touch. Yumei, on the other hand, simply let Casira sniff her before lying down, inviting Casira to either play with her or rest on her fluffy fur.

Looking back at Kazrarill, Vocalia had to move her head up just to look at the man's face. Such was the hardships for being so vertically challenged, especially when she had to face someone as tall and buff as him. This sort of occasions sometimes resulted in unwanted neck pains whereupon she had to ask her Krakens for a soothing massage. "I don't believe I have seen you before. My name is Vocalia. It's a pleasure to meet you." She smiled, not intimidated in the slightest by his scar or the fact that she saw a tail moving under his coat. That did warrant her some questions, but she would ask it at a better time.

Casira looked at Yumei for a few seconds before she started to run around her chirping happily inviting her to play tag.

"My name is Karzarill, I don't come here often since I'm mostly traveling and are usually not in these parts. I'm just taking a break from all the traveling and decided to take care of my shop and take the chance to train some new members from some of the families I have created." He said while he gestured to the tylluan chicks he was holding. Who were still unhappy about having their fun ended as they started screeching in protest.

"Okay you two I'll let you off the hook this time but don't go too far away." He put down the two tylluan chicks that immediately started jumping up and down while flapping their wings. As they dashed off trying to find something they could jump off.

[Inspirit]

Destiny slid on the ground when he wanted to stop, yelping when a pile of white and black cats was on top of him, burying him beneath the fur. His barking can still be heard but was slowly lost in the sea of cats. Destiny moved around until his head resurfaced, barking excitingly at the company he was having. He was having so much fun with the Cat Brigade.

I chuckled when i saw how my temple pup was buried beneath the group of cats but hopefully he would not be suffocating with furs. "The pleasure is mine." I smiled, letting the Lunestre hatchling to climb up my arms and onto my shoulders, later onto Truffle which they settled nicely on her back. They continued to nibble onto the leaves while watching attentively to the group of Magi.

Yumei meowed and rolled onto her feet. She hunched back and eyed Casira intensely, waiting for a chance to pounce on the Emerald Wyvern hatchling.The rest of the Winged Cat Brigade kept Destiny company, pawing on his tail, licking his face and playfully nibbling his ears.

"I-I'm not out of my study very often either... But I do need to move around every now and then." Vocalia smiled, looking at the Winged Cat Brigade. "Then again, with the cats around, I don't think I can even rest." She giggled. "If left unsupervised, they'll turn my desk upside down and give all my scrolls to the Atramentums to play with. It almost feel like they are plotting against me. That is excluding the mischief my Kitsune companions often cause alongside the felines..."

Appearance: 6'2, dirty blond hair, dark eyes
Personality: Bernard is a generally pleasant person. He enjoys social interaction, but rather than be in the thick of it he prefers to watch from the sidelines, interjecting only when necessary. He has a rich sense of humor, and finds most things funny, but doesn't have the social confidence to make it well known. As he is often found lately in the library or in his room working on his thesis on temperature manipulation, he is less social than usual, but he is always looking for a distraction from his work. He has a definite tendency to procrastinate, and has taken an unusually long time with his studies. He is not sure he wants to leave the bubble of academia in the Keep.
Magic: Bernard specializes in earth magic, but he is currently studying to graduate with a specialized degree on spells that affect temperature.
Companions: Despite his specialization in Earth magic, he has three pegasi-a white, a black, and their pinto baby. He loves to fly with them.
History/Background: Bernard is the son of a merchant, and entered the keep when his innate magic became obvious. He has a good relationship with his parents and brother, who visit him twice a year during their travels around the world. His father wants him to follow in his footsteps, and Bernard hopes his research can help his father by keeping otherwise perishable items fresh, but he isn't sure if he wants to be a businessman in the end or if he wants to remain at the Keep to pursue more research in the future.

Yumei meowed and rolled onto her feet. She hunched back and eyed Casira intensely, waiting for a chance to pounce on the Emerald Wyvern hatchling.The rest of the Winged Cat Brigade kept Destiny company, pawing on his tail, licking his face and playfully nibbling his ears.

Casira continued to run around Yumei chirping happily, but she was starting circle larger since she had discovered that the feline were eyeing her.

"I know what you mean my Rewin Dragons never sit still for long, is like having a pack puppies that never really grows up. Tho they're not mischievous they do tend to be quite lively. My Snow Dragons on the other hand is a different story, especially a little hatchling named Snowy who seems to enjoy pushing snow of my keep's battlement when you least expect it. Her mischievous behaviour is rubbing off on Casira." Smiling faintly as he thought of the little Snow Dragon.

The sound of strong wings could be heard as a dark shadow blocked out the sun and a large dark dragon suddenly plopped down behind Karzarill, the tall Magi seemingly unaffected by the large dragon's presence as it started to approach him and Vocalia.

Just when Yumei was about to pounce on Casira, the sky above her head suddenly darkened when a large dragon landed behind Karzarill. The White Winged Cat squeaked and snatched up Casira before running to her Magi, who was now surrounded by frightened Winged Cats who had halted their game with Destiny due to the arrival of the dragon. Vocalia herself was no less fearful, but seemed to keep her cool for the most part. The dark dragon was large enough to swallow her whole in one go and, being a Magi who mostly specialized on Light and Wind magic, there wasn't much she could do in the face of such mighty creature. "Mister Karzarill, by any chance, is that dragon one of your companions?" She politely asked.
