So it's a definite thing that the reindeer will be able to breed? I'm kinda torn-- I plan on selling my Calidaes if I can't breed it, but if it can breed, I'm going to save up for a mate.

I think it's almost certain that they'll be able to mate... just imagine the BAWWing that would go on if they couldn't. Especially since so many people spent so much money on buying pairs of both reindeer. I think it'd be kind of cruel if they ended up not being able to breed... and I don't really see any reason why they wouldn't be able to, seeing as past GBs have all been breedable.

By the way, the White Elk Gifters Guild is now the White Elk and Reindeer Gifters Guild, if the Reindeers will have unlimited breeding we plan to gift the offspring of our GBs much in the same way we do with white elks. So, if you aren't absolutely set on GB mates, first generation ones will be available for free.

Awesome. Normally I don't show much interest in such guilds, but since it seems I'll never be able to afford a reindeer I might need to this time ^^;Seleya wrote:By the way, the White Elk Gifters Guild is now the White Elk and Reindeer Gifters Guild, if the Reindeers will have unlimited breeding we plan to gift the offspring of our GBs much in the same way we do with white elks, so, if you aren't absolutely set on GB mates first generation ones will be available for free.

Sure thing Thank you! It gendered femaleSeleya wrote:I have a pair, so whatever gender yours happens to be it could breed with one of mine.lyricgeek wrote:I am wandering if anyone would be willing to pair up with my ice deer once it's an adult? Just for one breeding, dont have much money thought. Sorry about that. I dont know the gender yet but I was just wandering if anyone had one that they would be willing to kindly offer?
Would you mind sending yours over in my keep though, once they can breed? I could send you a collateral against the return of your deer and the hatchling.

Re: Creatures 252 and 256 : Calidaes and Frigaes Reindeer
my partner and I both got female frigaes, which is a bit of a pain as everyone is wanting to swap females for males :O Still neither of us is so much into breeding that it will really matter when/if they can breed. I don't suppose anyone knows whether there actually are more females than males?
What I don't get is why they are so stupidly expensive to buy - the penguins weren't, nor as I recall were the coal and tinsel wyrms. Where people are willing to trade for donis I've seen reindeer priced as being equivalent to TWO temple cats!! That's just nuts.

Thank you to everyone who gifted me

Well for one thing, I think there's been some inflation since the penguins, and especially since the wyrms. Back then people didn't have as much gold, and there were fewer players. Honestly, I think a lot is just hype right now. It's infectious.

I wonder though if they will have limited breedings, like the old Tinsel & Coal Wyrms or the Ornamental Penguins?

I don't think they'll be limited. The Penguins had their breed counter showing as soon as they grew up, long before they were even able to breed.wystearya wrote:I wonder though if they will have limited breedings, like the old Tinsel & Coal Wyrms or the Ornamental Penguins?
There's no breed counter on the Reindeer.
