I know you've heard it before, but: stay in school or you'll wind up working at McDonald's. I left school in 10th grade to try and save the farm. Originally I was supposed to be home schooled, but the schooling part of that never happened because the farm was supposed to be all the support I need. We lost the farm. Then I got pregnant and didn't go back to school. Now, I've worked at McD's for 22 years because no one will hire me at what I make.TheEmbodimentOfKarma wrote:I’m still trying to determine what exactly I want to do for a living, but the online job market is profitable. I just need to do more research.
Now, home schooling isn't a bad option if the schooling part actually gets done. Getting a local job can be done while home schooling too because the hours required for learning are far fewer than those needed in a school. When we home schooled my youngest, he could literally do 2 hours of classes a day and meet state requirements.
