I get it. Websites go down sometimes. But when yarold's is down I rely completely on the click threads. And people really do not give a shit about clicking. It reminds me of why I stopped playing on this site in the first place.

Spoilered annoyances aside, the HWYD thread is indeed a combination of the previous rant thread and rave thread. It was decided that conversations would be easier if they were all in one place rather than trying to flip back and forth between 2 threads with quite often the same people and keep straight which topic was where. lol

That's what I figured @MistyoC, I have a pretty short attention span so I couldn't recall if we had a rant thread specifically and it was closed or that's what this one turned into. I don't really have anywhere else to get it off my chest when magistream annoys me, so I rant here often.

I totally agree. Having this one thread where you can pretty much say 'anything' and not be judged for it, is more helpful thank you might think. There's no 'topic' to stay on.. no one getting bent out of shape over trivalities.. and when folk don't agree or don't think they have a legitimate response, they just don't post. I tend not to say much, but I appreciate having somewhere to say it when I need it.

My dad is so angry. Sometime last night, someone came onto our property and stole 4 of his game chickens (he had paid over $500 each for them). My security cameras went down last night because of a power outage, so I saw nothing. We have a new camera mounted near the chicken coop now and padlocks on the cage doors. We have a decent idea of who did it, but no way to prove it.

Who would steal a chicken?!

Surprisingly, a number of people, whether it's just for fun, food, or because of rare/expensive breeds or show quality birds. Crime, particularly theft and vandalism, has been on the rise in my area unfortunately. I probably should do what Soleil is going to do and get padlocks on my own pens.

IF we are correct on who stole them then they were taken for cockfighting. My dad hired a company to come build a workshop for him back in the fall. The owner had a lot of "in and out" type of workers (they'd work some times, but not all the times, a lot of relatives and guys he knew for example). There were a couple that were always talking to my dad about the chickens, so fast forward.. and they're gone. No proof, but pretty sure it was them.

So frustrated that the kids are having another snow day tomorrow, but I understand why. So many of the roads around here are shaded so they didn't warm up enough for the ice and snow to completely melt. Add in the fact that we are below freezing again tonight and what little that did melt will refreeze causing problems tomorrow.

I've had to work from home the last two days so they are extra energetic because I couldn't send them outside by themselves (I'm not asking a 13 year old to watch both a 5 year old and an 19 month old). By the time my work day was over it was getting cold and dark, so no luck there either. I'm thinking of taking an extended lunch tomorrow to go to a restaurant with a play area to let them get some energy out.
