What a busy and upsetting day. Even with a guarantee for live delivery or your money back, it's hard to lose baby chicks, especially when a stupid postmaster refuses to do her damn job and ends up causing the death of dozens of chicks all because she couldn't be bothered to unload the second truck that came in end of the day and give me my packages. I'm down 1/3 of my order and still over a dozen chicks are in critical condition. At least I got a complaint officially filed with the main USPS office today.

On top of the online complaint form (just assuming that's what you did) also call the delivering office and ask to speak with the postmaster, so basically whichever office she comes out of -- call and talk to HER postmaster and explain the situation.Revan wrote:What a busy and upsetting day. I had a package delivered to someone else in my apt complex last spring, those people kept it, but the post office refused to acknowledge my complaint because in their eyes "they delivered it, that's all they had to do" and claimed they delivered it to my door. So I called the postmaster after the complaint went ignored for 2weeks.

Re: How Was Your Day Thread V5
I was told to call the main USPS office since we are a small town surrounded by small towns. The delivering office is in the city yes, but I was told it's 'technically a warehouse; we're just a transfer station.' Not terribly helpful. The gal I spoke with on the phone though was very understanding and told me that an investigation will be done since the protocol for live animals wasn't followed.Soleil wrote:On top of the online complaint form (just assuming that's what you did) also call the delivering office and ask to speak with the postmaster, so basically whichever office she comes out of -- call and talk to HER postmaster and explain the situation.Revan wrote:What a busy and upsetting day. I am down to nearly half of my original order. 110 chicks was my original order. I'm now down to around 60.

I know the feeling. We're in the 98% band, but I have no transportation. So close and yet so far!Raneth wrote:I can't get to totality and I'm so disappointed.
My brother is going to be in St Jo for it, then come here the next day. Of course, I'd love to be able to meet him there and hitch a ride back to town with him, but public transport is booked and anyone I know is going to Columbia.
Then there's this: https://www.theatlantic.com/science/arc ... source=fbb LOL

*sigh* I've tried to type something here two days but done nothing. I'm way too tired to do anything. First cancer, second depression and now third the terrorist strike in my home city. Can I just stop existing?
