FullmetalGamer's Entry

Post by FullmetalGamer »

I'll just leave this here and see how it goes, it's pretty damn short but... :derp:

Spoiler
The Lost Manuscripts:

The Keep is well known for holding many links to the olden days of the magi almost all of it held in scriptures or scrolls contained in the many classrooms and libraries, but there’s a particular piece of lore tucked away, uncared for and forgotten in the twisting passageways of the Keep. In bottom corner of the Eastern wing on the southern wall is a small pedestal that holds a small bust of a cloaked man, who is this man you ask? Well...The only hint we have to the name of the cloaked figure is a single page of a journal which holds that bares the name “Edwin”; but whether that’s actually his name is sadly a mystery in itself. It’s said that he was a Magi of high stature and the first Magi to find the creatures that the Herbalist Guild now love so dearly, and the only shred of evidence that suggests he exists is a beaten leather journal that is now long lost, but the first page of the journal reads as such...
Entry no. 1 ~
“My name is Edwin, a Magi who is journeying the land in search of rare and new creatures throughout this world we know so little about, I’m currently in a thick jungle to the west of Synara City, and I’ve decided to make camp for the night and as I was pitching my tent for the night I found the most remarkable creatures...But they’re also very strange. They’re like a small gray bear cub, but with a few very noticeable differences, for one their facial features are quite different to those of a normal bear, the nose is rounder and the eyes look much more welcoming, another difference is the vegetation that has sprouted from their heads and back. The vegetation seems to vary from bear to bear but certain plants are on every bear as far as I can tell. (These plants being: Soft green grass and ferns, Mushrooms and other funguses) Another key difference between these bears and your regular verity is that they never seem to stop eating the leaves from this part of the Jungle, and seeing as how there are no other plants except for a few ferns in the immediate area I think it would be a safe assumption that this is their primary diet"

I think you are referencing the saevyms yes? In which case they aren't bears, they are koala based.(Also are you sure this is reaching the word limit?)

I know about them being Koala based, I was referencing the fact that they're part of the bear family more than the species they're directly based on.

And for the word limit, it isn't reaching the limit but it's above the minimum of 150 words that was needed for a competition entry.

I thought it was a reference to the things being called 'koala bears' for ages, since that's more or less what they most resemble. This is about the person who first discovered Saevyms, after all. :t-shrug:

Actually, that's pretty much what I was going for...Didn't really know how to phrase though so thanks for helping clear it up ^.^
