"Named the palm dragon for their size, this creature fits easily in the palm of a grown mans hand. They are popular with children, however become extremely depressed if kept away from their own kind for too long. Children now know that each autumn they must set their palm dragon free in order to find a mate and go through its social rituals. If the child has been kind to the dragon, it will return once winter descends. If the dragon happens to be female, one can find, come spring, a collection of springy, gooey eggs hidden away in a safe space - like the underside of ones desk when one reaches under to pet their dire wolf. These eggs stick together like the most powerful glue, and towards the end of spring, burst open in an amazing display of colour. These dragons are able to change their scales to best reflect their surroundings, and even have control over different body parts for this purpose, but hatchlings enjoy bright displays until they learn to better control their abilities.
