Just story Ideas, or other random stuff I've done

Post by Revaencore »

Who are you? Who were you? Were you even real?
I'm being haunted, distraught
Your voice, it hurts down to the core
You never existed
I was in love with a Ghost
And now you are too

:woo:

They talk about insanity as if there's a cure
But if only mental illnesses were that pure
Come walk a day in my shoes and you'll see
That I am both who I am but who I'm not going to be
I want to tell you that the cures are not permanent
They are only oppressors that take away the prominent
So just stop, and take a deep breath
No one can ever escape death

:woo:

There is a special kind of madness inside me, do you feel it?
There is a pain unique to my sorrow, do you feel it?
There is an anger that matches my circumstance, do you feel it?
There is a happiness that hides from the sun, do you see it?

I am nothing, just another empty shell they call 'human'
I am forever stuck in this darkness
Though there is one small drop of light
You're smile fades as I try to reach

Why are you still here?
Why do you exist?
You are nothing but a curse
You are just an image

---More things I've written from a while back---

I can see it in your eyes
like sea storms
always burning bright
water rages
without a place to go
without a place to hide
without a place to confide
without a place to cry

the waters deep inside
flood out when your alone
yours eyes dont do well
to hide whats really inside

I can see the pain
suffering
fear
thoughts that tempt you off the edge
in those raging waters
lays the bitter sorrow
of breaking someone

only known to those who watch
in class you seem happy
when you walk
you drag yourself
when you stand
you sloutch

stop trying to hide whats inside
dont let those raging waters
bring you down
those storms that taunt you
only show what you feel

tell me what you want to say
scream it to me
even whisper
just let it out
and calm the raging waters
that i can see in your eyes

dont leave just yet
there is a lot more that i want to say
those eyes of yours
with storms raging
they tell me one thing about you
and thats you hold rage inside

you need someone to confess to
someone to listen
someone to help
someone to believe in you
why not talk to me?

and let the storms calm
and judge the wake
that left me
shattered and broken

Sweet Paramour
Join together the snow and
grass once again

Watching owl upon her perch
Listening to the music of her call
Jagged sound under the moon
Innocence collasped into Nightmare
Her Eccentric thoughts twisted, corrupted
Owlet at heart, wisedom of the old
She continues to watch those around her
Sharing stories never heard
She continues her call, answers never whispered
Watching Owl under the full moon
Upon her perch calling for hope

Beautiful Amnesia
Believe. That's the one word that's always eluded my own personal dictionary. Could I even accomplish that?

It's been years since I last saw my own family, let alone my sister, Liah. My own twin sister. The whole family still hates me and regrets my exsistance for what happened that one beautiful, bloody day. Have I gone completely mad within my own broken mind? I'd like to think I haven't just yet.

"Oh, Cara, how are you dear?" My aunt looked down at me with her pale cheeks, grey eyes, and sunken in smile lines around her pink lips. She'd always been terribably sick, but she refuses to the see the doctor. "I'm just fine." I didn't mean to sound cruel or angry when I spoke, it just came out that way.

"Now now, Cara don't be rude to your own blood." My grandmother said. Great. She'd been the one to push me over the edge with her cheerleader of a husband to only egg her on. Why was I here in this terribably depressing house, all the way in Japan? Oh, right. My uncle Yakumo died last night, and everyone was strangly blaming me, even though I had been all the way in America when it happened.

"Cara, let's go play out in the garden." I felt a hand tug at my sleeve, and it was Liah. She surprised me by how happy and calm she seemed. Did she forget everything that happened that day? Why does everything that is cruel, have to happen to me?

"Sure Liah, let's go." I took hold of the handles of her wheel chair, and rolled her out into the stone garden that grandma and the cheerleader had kept in check for all these years, keeping the tradition of the Hikagori family. Gaint stone boulders were emerging out of the pebble landscape like tornadoes, with only the gentle sound of the pond that was nearby, to keep my mind from traveling to a dark place.

"Liah, do you remember when we grew up here? We would always mess up the stones and grandma used to get so mad at us." I let go of her wheel chair and sat down on the edge of the platform, that hung just above the start of the mass pebble ocean.

We sat in silence for a while, my mind continued to try and go back to the dark days that we experienced here. If she did remember how we lived here, maybe she remembered what happened out in the feilds also.

"Cara, tell me why I keep having nightmares. Their so realistic, but I just don't want to believe them." She spoke softly, as if she didn't want to be overheard, and her moss-green eyes turned to me, and her long blonde curls bounced about as she turned her head to look at me, her exact mirror reflection, but I had grey specks within my eyes.

"I wish I could answer you. What is it about?" I looked back to her, and worry flashed across her eyes, the same eyes that I used to love and cherish before everything went to hell.

"You were there, and so was grandma. It was out in the feilds that we used to farm together to keep the family fed with rice. We were playing games and throwing mudd at each other, getting dirty just all over with bugs flying away from us, trying to keep each other safe from the blood suckers. That's when grandma comes in, and she starts beating us with our shovels. You tried to stand up for me, and she hit you so hard, that the shovel broke, and you had gotten metal in your eyes. Then she turned back to me and broke my legs... please tell me it's only a dream." She watched me, realizing that I did have grey, metallic flecks in my eyes, and she backed away from me, rolling the wheels toward the edge..

"No Liah! Look out!" I screamed, but it was already too late. I knew that if she did fall, her head would hit the stone fountain that made a small stream through the garden, keeping the ground moist so that the rocks could stay in place. I leaped forward to catch her, ignoring the fact that the rest of the family was already running out onto the platform to watch the scene.

I was able to grab her, and I hugged onto her tight, switching us around. Just for a split second, I looked to her and smiled, knowing that I was sacrificing myself for her. She deserves better, since I was the one who truly caused her to be in a wheel chair. Liah imagined grandma breaking her legs, and the feild, but I was there, I had the shovel and we were in an argument. But, I was burying our dog that Liah dearly loved, and I had hit her legs. I had gotten the metal into my own eyes, and I was at fault for her life going to hell, and for the family to hate me.

Within an instant, everything was slow, peaceful, but still insanity was eating my soul. This time, it had won, and I had died saving my sister, and giving into the insanity that had built up from that day.

After all, if I tried to believe in myself, then maybe none of this would have happened. I'd still be sane and alive, while my sister would be able to fulfill her dream, and become a runner.

Within the last flash of life I had in me, I told my sister that I loved her, more then I should have. She was crying and I could see the clear water turning scarlet, as the stone fountain had cracked open my skull.

I, Cara Hikagori, haunt the family house. Beware my insanity, or else it too will catch you in it's snare, and make you regret everything.

The Snake and the Cherry Blossom Tree
There was once a beautiful Cherry Blossom tree that protected the animals of the forest. Every spring the flowers would bloom and the animals would gather around and pray to the gods. When the flowers fell off the tree the animals would silently weep for the tree for the beauty was gone. Out of all of the animals, none prayed more than the snake.

He would go the tree every day of the year and pray to the gods for good food and water. The gods were very grateful to the snake for praying more than the others, so his wishes were granted. One day the snake found a lovely wife and stopped praying to the tree. The gods became depressed for the snake did not pray for five whole years.

So, one spring the goddess of wisdom, Mystic, came down from the heavens. “Oh little snake, we have waited for you to pray to us for five years and you have not even thought about us once. So I curse thee to be bound to the tree for as long as you shall live. You will have to leave your wife and protect the holy blossom tree from all who may disturb it.” The goddess then cast the curse and the snake wrapped around the tree and became part of it. His body made a carving on the tree for all to see.

The animals saw the tree and thought that they should pray even more because the snake was binding it. The gods were pleased that they prayed more, but that was before the humans started to tear down the forest.

The humans moved next to the river where the animals drank. They stole all of fish and even hunted the animals. The gods became furious and made the snake go to their huts and tell them to stop. So the very next day the snake slithered to the strange structures and saw men with rocks tied to long sticks, sharp to the touch. The snake became nervous at the sight of this but went on looking for the leader. He found a huge hut and slithered inside. There was a man dressed in feathers and animals skins.

The snake approached slowly and demanded to the human: “Hear my cry for you have angered the gods. Stop this senseless destruction and go back from whence you came!” This made the human angry and he called out. Two larger men came in and took the snake to a mud hut. The snake saw his wife in the hut but only her skins remain. So he began to weep. When the door was shut he was never heard from again.

The humans tore down the forest even more until they got to the beautiful cherry tree. The leader of the men chopped down the tree and as he did so the gods and the animals became angry. That night the goddess Mystic came down and tried to speak to them but they did not listen so she sent the little town ablaze.

Even though the humans and the tree were destroyed the gods and the animals were still angry but they could not fill the void, which the beautiful cherry blossom tree had filled for so long. All of the animals eventually died of old age and the tree was slowly forgotten. The gods then had no one to pray for them because the tree was gone and even the humans were dead. The gods then made another blossom tree but it would never be as beautiful as the first.

From a dream that I had not long ago~

School, something I wasn't looking forward to but what I was already enrolled in. I had just finished my first year, potions, magic basics, blah blah blah, and math. But this was the year I could find out more about myself. Familiar summoning and control, Family Name History, Ability Discovery, and Beast Taming.

Long black hair, blue eyes, very quiet, complete opposite of the rest of the school. They were all blondes, since magic is a transparent force. I would have been denied from this school if it wasn't for the fact that my aura is hard to ignore. Thanks self.

Fast forward a few months, my familiar is a Unicorn. Most magical and wise beasts you could ever have as a life long friend and ally, but just like me, he's unusual. Unicorns are usually white and cheerful creatures, right? He is also the opposite. Pure ebony black, even his hooves and horn are black, but still sparkle once in a while with that spark of wise magic. But, he keeps me in check. Did you know that familiars can change forms? Apparently the powerful ones can, and he prefers to be an ear cuff so that he can see and hear everything around me and keep an eye on me, for safety reasons. I guess I forgot to mention how protective he was. I needed it though.

According to my family name, we are a rare breed, master beast tamers by blood. Unicorn makes sense now. The trait is not passed down often in the family, the last beast tamer was my great great uncle that passed away over 70 years ago. Helpful. I'll tell you more about the Beast taming class in a minute.

I also now know why my aura is so strong. I have a common ability, but it's very... amplified. Healing. I can heal almost instantly, though the pain still lasts. Now I can learn how to heal others; beasts, creatures, humans, flora, and common fauna. I guess I drew the lucky straw when it come to being a beast tamer.

Speaking of which, I am the top of my class, and befriended several of the creatures that the professor calls upon for his classes. Lions, Dragons, fairies, and much more. Though the basilisk from the caves I 'accidentally' fell into the other day has taken a particular liking to me. After talking to the professor earlier, he said that it's already possible for me to tame my first beast. Being friendly is the first step, taming is the second, and it's very dangerous. I hope I don't die.

Memory
Early Sunlight outlined in Green
Young, fresh, searching for eggs
Hidden, Happy, Festive
Mother and Father watching from afar
Continued search and happy dreams
It all became a reality
Early spring, early memory
All faded around the edges
Father drifted away
Within the crowd, he fades
Never to be seen again
Early Sunlight outlined in Blue

Book of Names
1) Rude Awakening
Dark and numb. This is all I feel. My soul itself is probably slowly rotting away, no simulation and no one to whisper all of my secrets to. This darkness that engulfs me is what keeps me prisoner. It feels like I’ve been here forever, my heart stopped beating ages ago, and my mind is constantly mulling over why I’m here, and where I might be. I've thought of every possible place that could even be like this, but none came to light. I've tried looking for a way out, but it's only black and not even a gentle breeze could blow through my hair or against my skin. What do I have left? My empty thought echoed through my mind, searching and hoping for an answer. My lonely thoughts had never gotten an answer before, and I started to truly believe that they never would. Until all my prayers were answered.

"Do you wish to be saved?" The small, lighthearted voice filled my ears and I could feel my heart beat against my chest. I opened my eyes and a small girl with golden-red hair was looking at me, her smile genuine and sincere. She seemed to glow her own light, so that only I was able to see her. I thought I could see sadness in her hazel eyes. She brushed away the small curl from her forehead and her robes looked like pure white silk lined with golden silk threads. I nodded to her answer, and a breeze caressed my skin and tossed my own red hair. A small light opened behind her, and I could see other perfectly sculpted faces, smiling down to me and holding out their hands, as if to welcome me back to a place I’ve been to before.

I looked back to the small girl, and she seemed to be fading away, into the black. I felt myself slowly being pushed towards the small ball of light with the happy faces and clothes similar to the ones the young girl was wearing. Behind the men and women who seemed to be happy to see me, there were graffiti strips of all different colors flying about and there was gentle music that was muffled. That small ball of light filled my vision and that alone, made my heart beat faster. This warm, caressing feeling spread through me, the feeling of not being alone anymore. Of being alive. The bright, white light engulfed me and I heard someone calling for me.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Dream! Wake up!!" Blast yelled out, while she slammed her hands on my desk. Class seemed to be over, and looks like I fell asleep. Again. Too bad I can't get a grade for that instead of using a wooden stick and writing everything down. The only stragglers were Silence, Blast, myself, and a mysterious guy in the back of the class, Unknown. As the names give off, it tells others about your habits. I tend to Dream, Blast likes to make things explode, Silence never talks, and Unknown is well, unknown.
"Come on Dream. Get your head out of the clouds, Sharp is waiting for us. Even Joseph is waiting to see you!" Blast giggled at her own comment. She grabbed my arm and pulled me from my desk, grabbing my bag by the classroom door on the way out. We ran across the hall and down the stairs into the courtyard of the school. Burning Springs High.
Sharp, Punk, and Joseph were waiting under the one tree of the entire school that is always in bloom. There is a rumor that likes to float around the school about the Blossom Tree. I haven't heard the rumor myself of course, but I'll ask Blast one of these days.
"Hey guys!" I called as Blast and I slowed down to meet up with everyone. Sharp was looking spiffy as usual, button up polo, dress pants and shoes, and of course his glasses that always seemed to reflect enough light so you can't see his eyes. Punk was wearing a pink tank top and skull printed pants that had chains hanging from them, and her loved grape juice purple converse. Joseph was in his normal, Levi jeans and a white V-neck with vans.
Joseph flashed a smile towards us and Punk kept on listening to her music while Sharp stood up to greet us again today. I shook Sharp's hand and sat down between Punk and Joseph while Blast, in her short sky blue dress and flats, leaned against the Blossom Tree.
"Do you think we'll ever graduate from this hell hole?" Punk asked. Her black and pink bangs were covering her right eye as she spoke and Joseph leaned over and answered for me. "Eventually, but I don't think that will happen until Dream gets her head out of the clouds." Joseph was defiantly mocking me. "Hey! I'm right here!" I declared with a half joking, half amazed look on my face. I playfully nudged the both of them as they laughed.
"Dream, shouldn't we be leaving?" She asked. I was annoyed at the question, but I knew that she was right. Today, the entire school body would be allowed to go to where Joseph works. The Sanctuary is the official name, but since everyone in the school is stuck at 17 until they graduate, no one really wanted to go. It only made everyone jealous when they saw the real angel's helping others, instead of sitting in a class that only repeats the material until you gain some sort of "enlightenment" that made you turn 18. How did you know when you aged? You grew wings, of course.
But of course, we had something else planned.
We all stood up and walked over to the gates, Sharp was walking with his stride that always seemed like he was ready to turn a corner. Blast was skipping along, Joseph lazily walking, and Punk was looking at the ground while she walked, music exploding from her headphones. We all walked to the beat of the music that was playing, and none of the other students seemed to notice us walk away from the tour group, just outside of the school grounds.
It took us a while to get there, but we eventually walked downtown and to my favorite rave, Crow's Nest. Its brilliant cover up was of an abandoned factory, but we all knew better. In this town, there is a lot more to Burning Springs then most of us could even guess. Joseph might know, since he's a real angel, but the rest of us are trainees. So, we only hear the rumors that tend to spread. When we did ask, he always avoided the question.
I looked over to the rest of the group and a smirk carved my lips from cheek to cheek. "Ready for your first rave? It'll be crazy!" I said with excitement. Sharp didn't seem to care less, Joseph had an anticipated look on his face, Punk was looking around at the scenery, her music still playing loudly, and Blast looked ready to party.
I opened the door to the club and instantly, the bass of the music that was playing hit us. I could tell that the song was Reptile by Skrillex and everyone inside seemed to be cheering and dancing on the dance floor. The black lights covered the ceiling and the only colors we could see were black, neon yellow, and a rainbow of other colors along with violet whites. Blast laid her hand on my shoulder and said; "This is going to be one heck of a party! Sharp, try to have fun." She said sarcastically.
We all walked inside and Punk took off her headphones to listen to the music. All five of us gathered around in a circle at the edge of the huge mob that was jumping so much, the floor was thumping. It didn't surprise anyone that they were all angels, considering this is an angel rave after all. Sharp just watched from the bar while the rest of us were having a good time dancing to the bass that was echoing through the room. I watched Blast as she walked over to the bar and sat next to Sharp and started talking with him. Punk, Joseph, and myself just kept dancing to music.
I had this over whelming feeling building up inside of me and I don't know what it is. It only got strong as the night went on. It was like the feeling of being watched, but also being wanted. I can't describe it any more than that.
After a good 15 songs, everyone wanted to sit down and have drinks. We laughed and had a great time talking and making fun of each other, and after we argued, I was chosen to go get the drinks. Joseph walked with me to the bar to help carry the drinks back, but I think he's already had a few himself, since he seemed to be all over me. Which, normally doesn't happen.
"Dream, shouldn't you be in bed by now?" He asked, while he played with the hem of my black shirt and jean shorts. "Joseph, what did you drink?" I pulled his arm away from me. "Aw, come on, baby. Don't you want to have a little fun with an angel?" He was almost laughing at me now and he played with a few strands of my bright red hair.
The feeling became stronger now, threatening to engulf me. Then a strong hand squeezed my shoulder. "You should leave her alone, before you start to regret it." A shiver ran along my spine at the guy's voice. He had to be 17 also, since he didn't have his wings. Joseph seemed very amused by the blonde boy's threat. "And what are you going do about it pretty boy? Are you going take Dream and whist her away as if you’re some type of prince?" Joseph asked sarcastically with a smirk. I was going to answer but- "You're no prince charming yourself." The boy answered for me. How did he know that I was going to say the exact same thing?
Joseph leaned forward and wrapped an arm around me, pulling me closer. "And if I'm not?" The angel was really starting to tick me off. Joseph needs to stop this. "Then I'll be her prince, since you're to drunk to even know what day it is." The boy picked me up out of Joseph's arms and gently put me back down on my feet. He turned to me; his blue eyes were so hard to take my gray ones away from. "If there is anything you need, or if you need your ass saved by this dick again, call me." He slid a small guitar pick into my hand, which had five numbers written on it in sharpie. Does he have a whole bag of these things? I didn't even see him write anything on it...
I ordered Joseph to back with the others, but it took a while. After a few minutes of yelling and a slap to his face, I'm pretty sure he got the point through his thick, drunken skull. I would have stayed longer after I got everyone their drinks, but Punk wanted to leave also. So Punk and I walked home while Joseph, Sharp, and Blast stayed behind to get shit-faced.
"Hey, Punk." I asked, my voice was hoarse from yelling at that stupid angel. "Yeah, Dream?" She took off her headphones and looked over at me for a second. Her eyes were shining a deep green under the street lamps. "Have you ever wondered if the rumors at school are true?" I was looking to the ground now, watching my own steps fall to the concrete. "Mhm. Is something up?" She asked as we crossed the bridge, that separated the Burning Springs from the school. "Well, I wanted to know the story about the Blossom Tree and about Angel." I could hear Punk sigh, but not from frustration. "I'll tell ya if you want to know." She kicked a rock down the bridge, and it fell down to the river with a splash. "I would like that." I answered her. We both slowed our pace, so that it would take longer to reach the school.
"Well, about the Blossom Tree. What I heard is that Angel and the Blossom Tree are connected by their past, yah know?" She took a breath after she saw the look of confusion on my face. "It was years and years ago, but there was a girl that no one knew about. No one decided to give her name, because she was just like a Mary Sue but she never spoke. Only helped others with their problems through notes and posters. The girl graduated the school faster than any other student, and she moved far away from here." Punk jumped over one of the larger rocks by the school, and continued. "One day, she came back. But, she had blood and scars all over her body. Story told that she died next to the Blossom Tree, which was dead back then. Ever since, that tree has always had flowers, even during the winter. I don't know exactly about the rumor of Angel 'kidnapping' people, but who knows? Might get to ask her one day." Punk chuckled at her little joke and I smiled.
Punk has always been a good person, and my best friend for years now. Blast only just got here and we all know that she tends to be very hyper. Sharp has been here longer the rest of us, and Joseph graduated centuries ago. How old is Burning Springs High, anyway? Yet another question to add onto the list of mysteries that seemed to pile up around this crazy town.
2) New Born
"Hello, class! Welcome back for another day of learning why your here." Mr. Rile was standing in front of a chalkboard that had all kinds of information written on it. Including a small bit about some kind of book the Angel's use to keep track of who they help and protect. Mr. Rile on the other hand was brimming with excitement, his little handle bar mustache and round belly only made the scene a little funnier. He's always like this though.
"I know that many of you are still curious as to why your even in this school. Let me expla-" Mr. Rile cut out when the small boy in the front row with sunglasses raised his hand. "Yes, Dark?" "I would like to tell the class very quickly about this issue, just so we can save time and go over other things." Dark spoke in a Jersey accent, I secretly liked it and he always seemed so proud to have it. Mr. Rile nodded and Dark stood up at the front of the class. his sunglasses completely covered up his eyes so you couldn't ever known what he was thinking.
"Alright, let's make this fast. simple, and sweet. Were all here 'cause we gotta learn to be an Angel. Kind caring, all that fun stuff. He's here to teach us, but has been slow 'bout it." Dark turned to look over at Mr. Rile for a second. "No 'ffence. We're Angel's in training. That's it." Dark sat back down in his seat with his arms folded across his chest. I heard Blast let out a soft giggle, she was probably doodling again.
"Very good, Mr. Dark. Now I will explain to everyone about The Book of-"
"Every student must go to the observatory to come greet the new student. Drill Number 09 is in effect starting now." The PA system cut into Mr. Rile's lecture, and the glow of his smile was nothing short of a 50 watt. "Did you hear that class? Perfect timing to explain all about how you were also created!" His voice made him seem like he belonged in a musical. I looked over to Blast and she gave me the same dreaded glance. Everyone stood up and headed for the huge concert hall that is now used for other purposes. Like showing the students how they were made.
Nothing disgusting or truly terrible, we just hated that we had to watch another soul be born into Burning Springs, where they might spend a few centuries until they graduate. The class emptied out into the school's halls. The walls of the school were painted an icy cream color and the floors were made of mahogany. We all marched in line, my whole class at least. Mr. Rile treats us like were in elementary school, so the other classes were freely walking. And yet, Blast and I looked like we were walking down to death row. Might as well have been.
The observatory was filling up fast with students. It was a circular building with a center stage and seats all around, but the teachers had the privilege to sit on the second row above the students. We were separated by class, so I couldn't sit next to Punk or Sharp who were a few rows away. Great, I have to sit next to Blast the whole time. Don't get me wrong, I love Blast like a sister, but sometimes she has the habit to get on my nerves.
"Now now, kids. I know you've been waiting to seen another soul become part of this world-" A low moan rumbled through the room as Ms. Pinn, the principal, spoke into the mic. " but, you are about to watch as yet another living person is made, to attend school like the rest of you! Who would like to volunteer to show this poor child around and give a name for them?" Ms. Pinn looked around the crowd eagerly. I sank down in my seat as much as I could.
A few years ago, I had Ms. Pinn for a teacher, and least to say, I gave her hell. Every time I fell asleep in that class, she would come up with the brilliant idea to try and force me awake through her classes. I still slept anyway, and just for her, I would snore when she would talk. Awake or not, it's not hard to make yourself snore while you sleep.
I could almost hear her mouth crack into a grin when she spotted my bright red hair and black dress that seemed to pop against the blue seats. "Why, Miss Dream, thank you for offering your help." She turned back to the golden beast of a machine that could almost touch the ceiling. I heard Blast laughing next to me, probably out of pity. Hopefully. When Ms. Pinn turned her back, I flipped the bird in her direction.
Ms. Pinn walked over to the keyboard that was connected to the huge monster, and typed in a few keys. The beast was about 30 feet tall and 15 feet around. Everything that was visible was painted gold, and thick, metal bars weaved up the corners of a massive egg-shaped glass cylinder that looked like it was stretched out to be longer than wider. Ms. Pinn stepped back from the glowing and rattling machine as colors started to swirl, twist, bend, and change the more it continued to work it's magic. It started flashing a bright light, and all of the students had to shield their eyes. I noticed that everyone did, but Punk who was wearing sunglasses. Clever. Was the only word that went through my mind until about a minute later, the machine went silent.
"Say hello to your newest classmate!" Ms. Pinn sang into the mic. A small girl with white hair that went down to her back, stepped out. All of the boys whistled and hooted when Ms. Pinn instantly handed the girl a robe because she was butt naked. Ms. Pinn leaned over to whisper something to the new born girl and they both turned to face my direction. Oh god, here we go. "Dear, Miss Dream over there with the red hair offered to show you around and name you. You will soon get accustomed to the school and everything Burning Springs has to offer." Ms. Pinn pushed the girl toward me and she lightly sat down in the seat next to me.
First note, she hasn’t spoken yet and seems to be very gentle with things and how she walks, or she is just shy.
Ms. Pinn got very serious and looked like the wicked with of the west, like she normally does. "Now, everyone go back to class. Now." She said, and turned to face me and grinned before she walked off, her high heels clicking on the wooden floor. All of the students stood up, expect for the new born. She just sat in her seat, her grey eyes staring at the golden beast. "Is something bothering you?" I asked her. She just looked over to me and stood up. "Maybe she doesn't know how to speak. We should invite her to the dorms later and try to teach her." Blast whispered soft enough so that the girl couldn't hear. "Should we name her now?" I asked Blast. She nodded and put her hand to her chin to think.
We walked back to class, the girl following close behind me and Blast. She seemed nervous about something, but we couldn't figure out what. Maybe it was just being around all of the students that made her feel scared. That, or it's the fact that she's surrounded by a bunch of kids who speak a language that she might now know, and that alone is reason enough to not talk. To not seem like she's stupid, or something like that. When we got back to class, Mr. Rile was just beaming with excitement that I had to take care of the new girl. Blast sat behind me so that we could pass notes and try to figure out a name while Mr. Rile went on another lecture rampage, explaining the ins and outs of how a soul is born into this world. Since Blast was brain storming and the girl was just staring out the window in the seat next to me, I decided that maybe if I listen to some of the lecture, I might actually learn something to try and figure out more. For once, I cared about what the teachers had to say. That alone was an accomplishment for the day.
Second note, she likes to stare at things that shine, or just like to watch the world around her.
"To start off, class, there are thousands of souls that float about within the Fruitless realm. What is the Fruitless Realm, you may ask? It is quite like Limbo, but instead it is it's own universe. Lost souls with no where else to go, end up here. Like the lonely widow that died of heart ache for her dead husband, or a child that died before it could even speak." Mr. Rile pointed to the chart that he has written on his board. "This is what i've 'chalked up' about the system of the souls." He chuckled from his pun and a few kids in the back let out sarcastic laughter. "This shows you how the soul is filtered. First, God sorts them either from Pure, Sinful, or Fruitless. Pure, go to heaven and become a worker for the angels, like myself. The Sinful go to Hell, and live out their sins and most painful moments for eternity. Fruitless, well, end up in the Fruitless Realm. Now, class. Are there any questions so far?" Mr. Rile set down his chalk to let the class look at his color coded chart of the soul sorting system. I looked over to the girl, and she seemed completely uninterested in what was happening in class, but more so with the bird in the Blossom Tree by the window.
"I have one." I said eagerly as I raised my hand. Mr. Rile seemed pleasantly surprised, and nodded toward me. "Anyone that is reborn here, like the new girl, would they know the basics of life? Eat, sleep, talk, or have strange dreams?" I let my hand rest back onto my arm, that was propped up on my desk. "Strange dreams?" Mr. Rile repeated. "What do you mean by this, Dream?" I sank down in my seat a bit as the rest of the class turned to look at me. "Well, I have these dreams where it's like I'm always feel sort of... dead inside. I can feel everything and sometimes I even feel cold. Normally that's as far as they go. Just that empty feeling gnawing and tugging at my soul, my heart doesn't even beat." I heard Blast stop scribbling things down on her paper and the rest of the class looked at me like I was growing an extra arm. "But, the last dream I had, there was a girl that had brown hair. She didn't look any older than a child. She asked me if I wanted to be saved, and next thing I know, there's a light that filled with the faces of angels and it looked and sounded like they were throwing some kind of party. They all seemed to happy to see me..." I looked at Mr. Rile's confused face. The rest of the class looked over to the teacher, as if they expected an answer from him that could solve their problems.
"I have seen that." A small, sweet voice spoke from the left of me, and I saw the new born's eager grey eyes staring at me. "Did you just-" "I saw that before I was born in this world. A small girl asked me if I wanted savior. I think she's an angel herself." The new girl said, cutting me off.
Third note, she almost made me shit bricks from surprise.
Before Mr. Rile could speak, the bell rang. All of the other students quickly lost interest and stood up. I did also, but I kept my eyes on the girl. As everyone pilled out of the stuffy room, Mr. Rile walked over to us. "I would like to continue this conversation later on. With the both of you." He walked back to his desk, and I looked over to Blast, who still seemed to be in deep thought. "Hey, if you want to, come over to our dorm later on. Annex building room number 56. Blast and I are roommates, so don't be shy." I told the girl before I quickly followed Blast out of the room. I was jogging to keep up with her, but a strong grip caught my wrist and pulled me back.
"You shouldn't chase after a girl that is plotting for murder." He laughed and looked at me. His voice was familiar, but from where? "Is there something up Unknown?" I asked him. His leather jacket was missing today, and he had converse, torn jeans, and a t-shirt that said 'Why Waste Time In School When I Could Be Partying?' He smirked. "Nothing is wrong. Just wanted to give you a few words of unhealthy wisdom." A shiver went up my spine from the feeling he seemed to give off. He's insane with... paranoia? "Unhealthy? What are you talking about?" I pulled my wrist away from his grip and backed away a few steps. He only got closer.
It didn't take long for him to pin me to the wall in the hallway and whisper in my ear. "Dreams are meant to be broken, or else they create false hope. Right?" His breath was on my skin and I tried to shove him away with every muscle I have. He didn't even budge. "Are you saying I'm false hope?" I said softly, almost like I was asking myself. "If you wish to believe it, than that's your choice." Unknown pulled away and walked down the hall, disappearing into the shock wave of students that were heading for the front door of the school. I felt my knees give out, and I sank to the floor. His name really lives up to his personality. What the hell...?
3) Blossom Tree Ghost
"Do you really think she'll come? It's getting so late." Blast spoke as she began to boil some water in a pot. She clicked the stove on and let the water heat up. "I hope so. I told her the building and room number. Maybe she got lost?" I suggested to Blast as I nibbled on some homemade chocolate chip cookies. "If she got lost, than I'll blow up her own room." Blast turned around to face me and smirked. We were both in our pajamas and our hair was tied up into a bun. I looked over to many bookshelves that lined the commons room. "Ha-ha, we might scare her away with our collection of horror books and murder mystery novels!" Blast laughed at my silly accusation.
There was a knock on the door, Blast and I both jumped in surprise. We turned and laughed at each other and I walked over to open the door. "Oh! Come in!" It was the new girl, her white hair was braided, and her pajamas consisted of shorts and a tank. "Hi." She answered back; her voice was like a teardrop hitting the salty waters of the ocean. "Oh, hey new girl! The hot chocolate will be ready soon!" Blast yelled from the kitchen.
The girl sat at the table in the middle of the commons room, while I ran off to get the 'Name Creator'. It was just a piece of paper that the new borne had to fill out, and every student had one just in case they were chosen to name the new borne.
"All you have to do is answer the questions and Blast and I will give you a name from that, so no one can call you 'that girl' or 'new born'. Here's a pencil," I handed her the soccer ball decorated wooden stick. "And when Blast finishes the hot chocolate, we can talk about stuff that you think would be fun." I smiled to her and left her to fill out the paper while I walked over to the kitchen to help Blast with the drinks.
"Can I make the drinks explode, Dream?" Blast smirked at me and I answered in 3rd person. "I believe that Dream would find that idea, quite dreadful." We both laughed and plucked a marshmallow bag from the fridge. Blast and I walked back into the commons room to find the newborn just finishing up her paper. "Who else have you named?" She was looking at us. "Dream has named me, Silence, Punk, and Unknown. She comes up with some pretty fitting names, so I'm sure she can come up with one for you." Blast smiled at the newborn, and she smiled back.
I took the paper and read the answers that the girl had written down. I felt Blast lean over my shoulder and read out loud.
"Activities that I find most appealing are; singing. Colors that really pop out to me are; grey and white. My favorite class subjects so far are; instrumental, music. The genres of books that I find interesting are; mystery, fantasy. Songs that I enjoy are; my own..." Blast looked at me and I looked back to her.
"It's true. There is a sweet melody that keep playing through my mind." The girl said. Blast started talking to her, but everything around me seemed to be going through a filter. The sounds were muffled, my vision was getting hazy, and my body became terribly cold. I snapped back to reality after a moment and the girl was singing a gentle melody. It was the most beautiful thing I have ever heard and I thought I could hear Blast wiping away some tears from her face.
"Melody. That is your name." I smiled to the girl and she smiled back. "I like that name." Melody took her up of hot chocolate and drank some of it, but Blast and I didn't. We have something else planned for the night.
"So Dream," Blast looked over at me and smirked. "Yes, Blasty-kins?" I only call her that when were both thinking something that is never up to any good. "Dreamy, have you ever heard of the Blossom Tree and about the Angel?" She asked loud and sarcastic. "Why, yes I have, what about it?" I could feel a smirk crawling along my own face, while Melody just watched. "I think that we should go hunting for the ghost of Angel, just to pass the time." We both looked over to Melody when Blast said that. "What a great idea! Should we leave now, or fill Melody in on the juicy details?" "Well, Dream I think we should just get flashlights and go searching!"
Blast ran over to the kitchen to grab the flashlights while I stayed at the table with Melody. "Are you sure you want to go looking for the ghost of Angel? She might not even be dead, you know." Melody only smiled at my comment. "It sounds like fun Dream, so I want to go." Melody started unbraiding her hair until it fell down to the small of her back. She grabbed all of her hair, and tied it into a ponytail. I will admit, I'm jealous of her long hair while mine just goes barely above the middle of my back. I heard Blast trip over something in the kitchen and Melody laughed with me.
"Did you trip on the chair again Blasty-kins?" I giggled after I said that. "Do you want a foot up your ass Dreamy-kins?" She snarled. "Only if you want your foot stuck up there, Blast." Melody laughed even harder at my statement. "Touché, young padowan." Blast and I both giggled. She handed Melody and I a flashlight and we both smirked to each other and looked to Melody. "Are you ready to go meet the ghost of the cherry blossom tree?" I said. "Bring it on, Dream." Melody seemed pretty serious and determined. "Alright, let's do this." I said and stood up out of our chair.
The walk out of the dorms and down to the school grounds was pretty quiet. I'm sure I heard Melody gasp in a fear a few times from the shadows that danced around us. I only shined my flashlight to all of the mirrors in the hall to try and scare her a bit. Yeah, we might be pulling a mean prank, but Blast and I were curious to see if the ghost really does exist. After a fit of laughter between the three of us, from scaring the living daylights out of Punk from jumping out at her while she was strolling the halls, she came along with us.
I could have sworn that the same feeling I had from the Crow's Nest was the same feeling that was building up in me again. I couldn't help be have my attention drawn to the guitar pick that hung around my neck. It was from the boy that saved me from drunken Joseph at the rave, and I didn't have the heart to throw it away. I made a small hole in the end and put a ring through it. Why was I feeling this way, and why now of all times?
The four of us, Blast, Melody, Punk, and I finally made it to the tree. The flowers didn't look like their usual dull pink, but instead they seemed to glow. The other three just explored the dark campus, as if they couldn't see the flowers shine.
"Punk, is there something different about the tree?" I asked her. "No, just looks like a regular cherry tree to me. You ok? Ya' seem pale." She laid her hand on my shoulder, the same spot where the strange boy had just the night before. I shivered slightly and nodded. "I'm fine, Punk. Thanks." "Mmm 'Kay." She said before she went back to looking around.
I couldn't explain it, but it felt like there was something I had to do. Someone I had to find. Someone I had to save and protect. What is with me lately, if it's not that boy haunting me in my mind, it's something else that calls out for me. When I had snapped out of my thoughts, everyone had wondered off onto some of part of the school grounds, and I was left alone in the dark. I looked up to the tree again, and petals seemed to glow a bright pink. It was beautiful, actually. A warm feeling spread through me, recognition and a sense of peace.
"Oh, it's the girl that was at the Crow's Nest." A strong voice startled me, and I quickly took my attention away from the illuminated tree to the boy that was walking my way. It was the blonde boy that gave me the guitar pick. "Oh, it's the boy that saved my ass. Thanks." I said, but it took me a second to realize that he wasn't alone. There was another boy with him. They both strolled up to me and smiles were cracked along their faces. I don't like the feeling of this.
"I'm sure you've met my friend, Mark." The blonde boy said as he gestured for the other boy to come up. "What the... Unknown?" I stared at him in disbelief. Mark, aka Unknown, grinned and grabbed my hand. "I'm back for round two, Dreamy Angel." He winked at me as he pushed my against the Blossom Tree. "Get off of me!!" I screamed as loud as I could, hoping that someone would hear. "No one is going to hear you, Dream." The boy said. "Oh yeah? You really think so? Maybe I should scream your name instead." I spit at him and tried to squirm away from Mark. But, he held my pressed tight against the bark of the glowing tree, holding my hands above my head, and left no room for air between out bodies. I could feel his horrible breath against my neck, and he chuckled when he saw that I was shivering. "Try screaming for that drunk ass bastard that wanted to ruin you." The boy spit back at me and pulled Mark off of me.
He stared at me for a few minutes, and I turned my face to the side to avoid his gaze. I could tell he spotted the guitar pick around my neck and he played with it. "You never called. I was hoping you would, but you never did." He let go of the pick and let if fall back to my chest. "Why are you acting like this?" I whispered. He leaned in closer and whispered. "Acting like what?" "Like a total ass. You had my convinced that you were a good guy, but now I can't see anything good about you." I said back to him.
"Dream, this is for your own good. Learn to fear people you don't know and get used to being cornered like this. Who knows, when you graduate you might be wise enough to get the Book of Names that every angel gets." A smiled crept back onto his lips, I couldn't hide the look of confusion on my face. The Book of What?
"Look, you have a friend." The boy stepped away from me. Soft laughter made me turn around to see a girl about in her twenties was smiling at me. She has short black hair, deep blue eyes, and a soft emotion to her cheeks. Not to mention, I could see through her. She continued to laugh and a mad look grew on her face, not angry or upset, but just insane. Before I could move, she pushed me back. I fell down to the cement brick path with a thud.
"Are you..." "Yes, I am the so called 'Angel' that everyone refers me as. Do you have an issue with a dead girl that lost her only love?" She glared at me with burning eyes. I can't explain the sudden feeling that keep building up inside me, let alone describe them well enough. Well, this one I can pinpoint. Fear.
"You can't be serious. This has to be some kind of joke!" I exclaimed. There is NO way that Angel is real. They were only stories to scare away the new kids! But the Blossom Tree on the other hand, it's just always been like that... She glided closer to me and her smile grew across her face.
"Do you want to find out if it's real or not? I would be happy to show you." She slid her pale finger under my chin and caressed my neck. I felt shivers run down my spine and the fear continued to grow inside me.
"Angel don't take this too far." The blonde boy stepped up and pulled me back away from her. He held me to his chest as if he was trying to protect me, but the ghost girl only laughed at him.
"I don't have to listen to you, Dawn Break. I can do what ever I want, and that includes showing her anything I desire." Angel said, her spiteful words almost reminded me of someone I knew. But who? "Angel don't!" Dawn Break screamed.
He yanked me back but Angel was to fast for him, and she flew right into my body. Time slowed down around me and just for a moment, I knew my real name. About my past life, and all of the friends I had made, even how I died. I felt my body go limp and everything was so slow, I thought I might have been sucked into a slow motion film. I collapsed onto the ground, everything feeling like they were going through a filter and I could hear Dawn Break, the blonde boy, calling for me. Black flecks clouded my vision and I could hear Angel's voice echo inside my mind.
It's time for you to know who you really are, Noa.
4) Goodbye, For Now
I was instantly engulfed into intense pitch black, it was as if the the very darkness itself swallowed up any light that it came in contact with. It was just like my dream that I had in class and the nights before. Was I going to experience the same thing that happened in my dreams? I'm not sure if I would personally like that or not.
"Noa.... Noa...." The voice had a strong, strained tone to it. Yet, familiar. Wait, isn't that name what Angel called me before I blacked out? What's happening? Were Blast and Melody looking for me? No, that couldn't be. It was Angel that made this happen to me. Isn't she just a legend?..
Every thing flashed white around me and I could hear birds chirping all around me and there were two children running about in the grass. My hands slowly slid off my face, without realizing that I was even trying to shield my eyes with my palms. The sight that I could see before was not a dream, but what seemed like it could be a bad nightmare.
"Noa! Haha, I'll get you back!" A small girl that looked about the age of 8 was throwing snowballs at another girl that I assume is Noa. Didn't Angel call me by that name? The girl was the average height for her age, and she had dark brown hair that fell down to her waist in two different braids.
"Oh no you don't Charlene!!" Noa yelled back. Her hair was a bright red that was just above her shoulders, and compared to the other girl, Noa was pale white with freckles across her cheeks. As she scooped up the snow to throw it back at the girl, my eyes couldn't help but wander over to the old house that sat in the distance, not too far away. It looked like it had gone through hell and back, and more. The sides of the house looked charred and the paint was peeling, while the glass in the windows were broken, and it was leaning onto one side. For how much noise the girls were making, I was surprise their parents didn't come out to make them hush.
"Haha, enough enough! Noa, let's go back inside and make something warm before my hands freeze to death!" She laughed as she threw her arms up in the air with joy and spun around. The strange sight seemed to remind me of someone I know, but I can't remember anything besides what I've just seen, and what Angel said. Now that I truly thought about it, Noa seemed familiar as well. I've seen her somewhere before, and more then one occasion.
I turned my head to the racket of sound that erupted from the house, cats hissing and throwing a fit. Both of the girls smiles instantly faded and they looked to each other, then sprinted across the snow covered field to the house, and that's when i noticed that there was nothing else within eye sight that could prove other people lived here. It was just a huge snow covered field with a single house and gray sky, nothing more.
Noa sprinted faster then Charlene, much faster. Noa beat the other girl by a good half mile, but she continued on not even waiting for the other girl to catch up.
"Rosco!!! What did I tell you about getting out of your cage?!" I wasn't in the field anymore, but I had flickered into the house, where a giant python was hissing back to a fat cat, ready to attack if the cat even tried to attack it. Noa ran over and picked up the python, wrapping him around her, and the snake seemed to relax at her touch, but it still closing watched the cat.
Charlene finally burst into the house with her cat still hissing at Rosco, and Charlene looked beyond pissed. She looked straight over to me, and for a second I could have sworn that she saw me for the first time. Actually saw me, and not the younger girl named Noa that seems to look like me. Noa's cheeks turned slightly pale from the anger that Charlene was admitting. Even for me, the air was thick with a static that only grew more violent.
"Noa, what have I told you about keeping that bloody snake! It's worthless!" Charlene's voice echoed through the small wooden interior of the house. I looked over to see the snake, it was hissing threateningly at Charlene, while Noa just kept her hands steady, holding up the slick creature.
As the sound and light started to fade away, all I could understand was that Charlene had kicked Noa out along with Rosco, and Noa tramped through the snow fields and down to the woods. I only had an lonely, icy feeling wrapped around that memory, and I'm sure that no matter what happened, I froze to death with Rosco by my side.
I could remember the first day I found Rosco and he was just a tiny little constrictor, stuck under a tree while a bird was trying to get to him. I was walking through the woods that morning with my hiking boots and an axe to look for firewood before the fall came, and I heard the bird making a huge fuss over the snake. I shooed the bird away, and then the snake came out and slithered up my leg and around my arm, keeping a tight hold of me, but it was more of a scared grip then a fierce death hold.
I had named Rosco after my little brother that died a few years back from the fever that had swept through, which also killed father and mother, leaving Charlene and I to fend for ourselves. After that single memory started to fade away in the depths of my mind, so did everything else around me, and I couldn't feel the soft crunch of twigs beneath my feet or the wind against my cheeks. Nothing, but pitch black.
Do you remember now? All of those innocent memories that's been erased from your mind are going to come back and haunt you. This is my will for you. Noa, you shall be a new type of Angel...
That Dream that I experienced over and over again was on the edge of my imagination, tempting to intertwine my thoughts with it. I thought about it slowly, and the dream came to me again, but this time, it was all too real. The same girl that appeared in my dream was also Noa, which is the same as what Angel kept calling me, yet I still can't believe any of this. Noa and I are different people from different times. No way I'm her.
Images from what I just learned and from the dream came crashing upon me again, and then releasing it's very same grip that it held onto, but only for a moment. The small girl that was just like Noa appeared before me, but this time her clothes were black with golden thread lining and her hand was extended out toward me, but it looked ratty and worn rather then polished and perfect. No, this isn't her. Wake up Dream, wake up!
I opened my eyes and the sleek pitch black greeted me, wrapping around me and engulfing any signs of life around me. Noa was gone, but I was hugging myself this time to try and shake away the fear.
"Dream! Oh god Dream.." The soft voice whispered in my ear. Who is it? Charlene? No, it can't be. The shadows seemed to erupt with light as my eyes snapped open and everything that had happened came back to me, Angel attacking me and Dawn Break suddenly defending me. My head was throbbing to a steady, deepening rhythm but it only grew worse. Blast was looking down to me and Melody was hanging off her shoulder, and a wide smile crept along her face.
"She's awake!!! We thought that you were in a coma or something! What happened Dream?" She kept watching my every move as I sat but, but Blast only silently starred at me as if I had something infectious growing on me. My back felt heavy and weak, not to mention the soaring pain that was ringing through my body, but I also felt something else. Soft weight, that moved with my breathing.
"Blast, is something wrong?" I asked her, my worry for if something was actually wrong with me. She simply pointed to the air behind my back, and Melody just jumped excited behind Blast. I looked over my shoulder to see beautiful red velvet wings emerging from my shoulder blades, the feathers almost glittering in the moon light.
-From a dream I had last night-
She was all that I could think about. Her existence entirely consumed my thoughts. There she was on stage with me, in front of the entire school, and the last night I would ever see her again. She wore a beautiful shimmery blue dress and a crown that resembled a dream catcher with metal feathers hanging down to one side. She was brighter then the spot lights and she was simply radiant.
I took my seat as she gave her speech, mentioning how the memories and friends that we created here will last on for the rest of our lives. She glanced at me and I could feel my heart begin to race in my chest, like thousands of birds taking flight.
"There will be times when we miss the ones closest to us, but remember Warriors, we are blue gold strong and we always will be!" She raised her hand up in the air in triumph and everyone around me stood up and cheered. I sat in my chair as time stood still. Our eyes met as she was walking off the stage. While the crowd sat down, they all watched her, the most prized student approach me, a nobody. My heart began to race again as she headed straight for my table.
"Hey, seems like she's finally taking my offer to heart!" A guy next to me said, but I ignored him, my full attention on her. She was graceful in the way she moved, seeming like she simply glided over the floor we all walked on. She stood between me and the guy that just spoke, the rest of the crowd quiet around us.
"You know, you were always my favorite." She spoke softly to me as she leaned in, and then it happened. Everyone around us jumped out of their chairs as she had chosen her partner. Everything seemed to fade away as if the only ones here, in this whole room, were her and I. This one single moment, this one single interaction, I would remember for a life time.
A few hours later, we were at the after party. The guys were outside and us girls in the loft talking and showing off our talents. I sat in the corner playing with my fire, wondering why out of all people she had chosen me, someone below average, someone she barely knew, to be hers. The fire danced between my fingers creating small animals till they merged together and became her. Then everything faded to black.
When?
Waiting for the day to know when my time has come.
To know what I was meant to do.
Meant to say.
I spend every day wondering what my life would be like.
But then I remember what I was once told.
"Take one day a step at a time."
Then I think about all of the happy times I've had, and say to myself that there will always be more to come.
:woo:
What we're made of.
Dreams are the idea that makes up one's ambitions. Dreams create our fantasy and begin the soft melody that soothes us and brings us peace. They strive for the things we desire deep in our hearts and fulfill the wants within our vast minds. They continue the rhythm that makes our hearts beat and calls for that one other person that we continue to search for through our lives. Dreams are what make us truly us, and those who loose sight of their own dreams, have lost sight of their selves.
- Another story idea from a while back -
Bombs continued to shake the dirt loose in the underground tunnels and rooms, a small, thin girl was making her way towards a hole in the wall that was busting with shouts and orders. Her long black pig tailed hair and plaid skirt, combat boots, white lace shirt, and a crystal necklace that were too elegant for the war zone she explored. As she walked in, all of the men froze in shock when they saw her eyes. Gold, the color that anyone who possesses power is cursed with.
"What the hell? We didn't call for the twinkle fairies as back up! Go home kid, it's nap time!" The general yelled in disbelief. She only giggled as the lights in the room went out, and the only thing that could be seen was the crystal pendent and her gold eyes.
"Poor general can't even win a war, let alone take care of his own men." The lights flickered on again and everyone was dead, besides the general and the girl. The general fell back onto the floor, while the girl walked out of the room. The lights flickered off again, then there was a single scream, and silence.
