Faraway
There’s a land I know of
In my dreams
A land called Faraway

Where wishes take shape
And dreams take flight
Where dragons soar
Through endless skies

White sheep-wool clouds
Roll lazily by
Above those of us
On the grassy grounds

Come night the stars are closer
You could reach up and touch them
If you flew up to the sky
On the back of a Pegasus

And here there is no crying
No sadness, no quiet pain
No suffering in silence
Here we’re all the same

Chasing stars
And butterflies
As sunlight shines from above
Milky pink
Butter yellow
Sky

The stars
They’re too high for you

But that’s just fine with you

You throw back
Your head and laugh
Hold up
Your arms
And let the wind breeze past

Midnight Drive
Driving home
The sky’s a peaceful black
City lights and traffic signs
Blink calmly as we pass
The streets are quiet
No noisy honks
No blasting blares
As we drive along
Quiet hum of the car’s engine
Is the radio to my ears
And looking up
At the cat’s claw moon
And the blinking pinprick stars
A deep calm washes over me
Of midnight skies
And soft-lit lights
That everything will be
