While I wear my mask to evade detection,
I feel myself crumble a little more.
My heart screams out for help,
while my mask hides my pain.
I fear being helpless and lonely,
while my mask conceals my fears.
The loneliness I feel is excruciating,
it eats me up from the inside, out.
Until all I feel is emptiness.
The sadness I endure is agonizing,
it consumes me to no end.
Continuously etching scars into my heart.
The pain inflicted upon me is tortuous,
it destroy's me till I have nothing left to give.
Deliberately sending my brain into disarray.
While this mask conceals me from exposure,
it makes me scream out for guidance.
While this mask shelters me from pain,
it causes me pain.
While this mask allows me to breath,
it suffocates me.
I hide my emotions behind a mask of deception,
suppressing the need to show my emotions.
