Thaurissam looked at himself. Nothing seemed different. He began to think. Suddenly, he couldn't see; his vision was obstructed by a tan square. A voice asked in his mind "Do you want to go to Lonely Cave? It's your home." Reluctantly, he whispered to himself, "Take me there."

Thaurissam was floating. Floating, but not moving. He gazed around. Nothing but a picture of a red lion with horns. There were some words coming to mind. He pushed them away. Suddenly, he flopped onto the ground. He ruffled his dark wings and rose to his paws. He jumped up and flapped his wings, but he wouldn't rise. Something in his thoughts told him, "You can't fly here." Thaurissam nodded to himself. So be it, he thought.

The gray wolf suddenly realized where he was. A small cave, with a few tunnels. He examined every pebble, inside and out, until he found a slope seeming to go up and around the cave.

Thaurissam, disabled as he was without his flying ability, still had the determination to go to the promised islands. He didn't know how, but he was going to do it, or he wasn't returning back home. He saw a few blocks, floating in mid-air. His mind declined the idea, but he wasn't concerned with it. He jumped onto each with care only a winged wolf could posess.

Thaurissam saw a cliff, and carefully jumped up on it. He stopped to gaze at the ocean surrounding the cave. The water felt serene to look at, like blue flowing stone. Thaurissam glanced at the horizon, silvery shining clouds wrapping around a sliver of sun. Suddenly he felt tired, his muscles relaxing and his legs folding downwards as he settled down to sleep, his gray fur accented with breezes and peach-colored light.

He was in a ditch. More surprisingly, he was a pup. His stubby legs were much less muscular then they were in his adult form. Thaurissam looked around him. Nobody there but a tiny, tiny wolf pup, much smaller than him. It was beige. He tried speaking to the curled up wolf. "Hello.", he said.

"Hi.."

The wolf pup answered with a small reply. Not much, but it was nice. Suddenly, Thaurissam felt dizzy, falling over.

He woke up. It was midnight. Thaurissam glanced around him, not noticing a cloud in the rough shape of a heart far off to the right side of the moon.

((Things have been going really rough lately. Darn writer's block. Ima put up a poll for who Thaurissam should meet next.))

~~Making the final few jumps onto more floating stones, Thaurissam crouched, then lunged for a fruit-colored portal. Disintegrating, the wolf flapped his wings, hoping to be in a place where he could fly.

~~Thaurissam found himself in that familiar black space again. This time, it was a picture of a dark blue lion.
No words came to mind, but that could've just been him ignoring them, he thought.

~~The charcoal wolf came crashing down with a thud. He got himself up and ruffled his wings. This small island looked surprisingly barren, save for the colorful animals jumping up relentlessly, occasionally pausing for a mysterious reason.

~~They had fiery eyes, the ones far at the top. Looked quite defensive about their turf, one might say. Thaurissam, however, could take on that challenge. He flapped his wings. Still, nothing. Ugh.

~~Thaurissam saw a red-and-purple wolf-like animal in the corner of his vision. He whirled around, and faced the creature. "Hello.", he greeted, wondering what sort of wolf would ever be so colorful.

~~The animal replied with a small bark of laughter, then greeted him back. "Hi. Why aren't you jumping to the top?", it said. "That's pretty much what everyone's here for."

~~Thaurissam tilted his head. "Jumping? Can't I just fly up? Actually, why CAN'T I just fly up? And why are you so colorful? Don't you worry about being spotted when you hunt?"

~~The canid smiled amusedly. "Most every wolf here is colorful. And we don't hunt that often; Bonfire humans give us our meals. Oh, and no- you can't fly, because there's an enchantment on this island and every rock above it. It makes your wings too weak to lift you."

I think this is turning out well enough for me to ask for you to write even more.

~~Thaurissam's wings sadly dropped to the side, before fluffing up in frustration. "W-what?!", he growled, rapidly glancing in every direction there was a jumping animal. Ferrets, birds, even what looked to be a sort of giant bat- winged gecko. How odd, he thought. A flying overgrown lizard.

~~The colorful wolf's ears drooped down, his eyes widening with surprise. "The rocks. There's a spell on them. Your wings get weak when you're on or above this island. Please don't be mad; we don't know how to reverse it. There's this brown lion... maybe he'll be able to help you."

~~Thaurissam's wings flew up, towering above the more colorful wolf. "How do I find him?! I need to get up there and I'm not taking the risk of falling. I need to get to my kitten." His ears perked up, claws anxiously digging themselves into the dry, compacted dust below them.

~~The wolf stood still, frozen in thought, quite a contrast to his former, tail-wagging stance. "Why would you need a kit? You're not looking to hunt, are you? I'm afraid it's quite difficult to catch anything. I assume you're not part of a shapeshifter group...?"
