I am probably not going to get a chance to write tonight, as I am exhausted, or tomorrow (working, then going to my inlaws for dinner), so hopefully Thursday. Life has been extremely stressful for me lately, I've been on the verge of a breakdown... yeah, it's been pretty

I'm hopelessly stuck in the desert with Nikko and Red, which is another reason why I haven't been motivated to write. Anyone have any ideas?

If you have something planned after the desert, there's nothing wrong with a jumpcut to when they get to their destination. There's no need to make something happen in the desert if it's just going to be filler.

If you don't have something planned, perhaps use the desert to flesh out the characters-have them meet up with someone ( either friend or foe) or with some sort of obstacle, that somehow elicits character interaction/development.

Just some thoughts. You're at least not alone-my motivation for fanfic has been shot lately.
