Melodic~A MagiStream Fanfiction

Post by SkyToastt »

AN(Author's Note)~Ok, so I have decided to make a fanfiction taking place in the MagiStream world. Let's go on to the story!

"Mommy? Daddy!" yelled a little girl's cry. The child saw her small cottage in ruins, dark clouds circling above. Rain heavily poured as the girl ran frantically, searching for her parents, and thunder and lightning roared about, seemingly mocking her. The call of a vexex ray could be heard in the distance. Her face showed strong emotion; sad, desperate, anger.
"Stop! J-Just stop!" She curled up into a ball, seeking shelter under the trees. "Please..." she cried, now in a hushed whisper. "Please... Stop..."

"So all I have to do is pick one up from the Stream?" asked Constance, her voice hushed and calm as it always is.

"Mhm. Go on, pick an egg, any egg," gestured Tate, an older magi who lived in the Callisto Islands. He went back to The Keep every now and then to visit and teach his findings, and now he was helping Constance with her first creature.

The twelve year old looked around, trying to find an egg that caught her eye. There were many, left safely by some magi. Many were different colors and patters. Heck, some even had wings and tails! Leaning forward even more, a small, silk-covered egg shined above the rest.

As Constance picked it up, she felt it twitch a bit every now and then. Oddly enough, the little egg gave out a hum. Looking up at Tate, her eyes showed a questioning glance. He nodded again, a small smile on his face. She stood up, putting back a stray strand of platinum-blonde hair behind her ear. "This one is what I would like," she smiled softly, adoring the egg, turning it around to see it at all angles.

"I don't want to spoil the surprise by telling you the species of the egg," Tate laughed warmly, patting the young magi's back as she stood up carefully, as if the egg would suddenly drop. Constance sent a playful glare at him while she started walking back to The Keep. She wasn't the patient type of person, and Tate had just made her set on making that egg hatch.

Constance kept studying the egg. It was the same color as her ivory skin, that hum was so mysterious. Looking up from the egg, she finally entered the castle-like building, and immediately went to her own Keep to lay her egg down. "What will I name you...?" she muttered to herself. Constance shrugged, deciding that she would have to wait until the egg hatches.

Toasters fly
High in the sky.
Watch your head
They’ll knock ya’ dead.
Have some toast.
On the fly.
But beware the toasters.
They’re flying by.

I'm not necessarily sure if you want critique but "saddness" and "desperation" would be better word choices than just "sad, desperate" since you're listing the emotions rather than using plain ol' present tense.

Short and sweet, I'm left wanting more. I can tell this is going to be an exciting ride. :wee:
