Eons - A Pokemon Fanfiction

Post by Iliad »

Eons is a fanfiction of my character, Eon. His picture can be found here: http://teamplasmasminccino.deviantart.c ... /#/d4i22mx

He is also soon to be part of the story "Clash Of Steel Hearts" ( http://shadoweevee128.deviantart.com/gallery/32838670 ).

EONS

Chapter 1

I woke in the shadowy confines of my egg, squirming because I had grown large enough to hatch. I put my paws on the shell and felt the smooth inside, feeling the occasional small bump. It felt almost like a pearl.

I quickly felt the desire to get out, to meet my family. Even though I wasn't very big, I used my hind legs to kick at the hard shell. Momentarily, I felt sort of regretful leaving my little egg which I had slept in for a long while. But I would soon grow too big for it, so I gathered up my hind legs and shoved at the shell again.

A cracking sound resounded, seemingly huge to my sensitive ears. I pounded one last time and the shell split. I tumbled onto a cold metal surface. The light in the room was harsh and temporarily blinded me.

"About time," a gruff voice barked, "we needed another Eevee since the female escaped some time ago."

There was another Eevee here? Well, okay. My eyes adjusted slowly to the light, and I turned and looked at the human who had said the words. I was immediately swamped by a wave of dismay. Where was my family? The human, before I had a chance to ponder these things, grabbed me tightly around the middle and lifted me up. The moment my paws left the ground I flailed my legs and hissed, getting in a few scratches on the human's forearms and hands. Then I twisted around until he dropped me.

"Feh! Feisty little thing," he muttered, seemingly unfazed. He took out a black rectangle and spoke into it: "Andrew, another cage to corridor five." Soon another human showed up, and he said, "Here, sir," in a younger voice and handed the cage to my captor. For a moment, I felt almost sorry for him ... how had he been drawn into this terrible place? When he glanced at me, his eyes were full of regret. I tried to smile at him, but I was scooped into my cage. I yelped in protest but then fell silent to take in the walls and corridors around me. All the floors were gray marbled rock. The walls were steel, painted a dull white. There were no windows. The word "prison" resounded through my head, even though I had never heard it before.

The human carried me into a room that was pure steel. His footsteps clanged on the floor as he shoved my cage into a small crevice. He then opened the wire door and fitted my neck with a white strip of fabric, which was then buckled behind my head. Reading the disk of metal on it, I comprehended that the number said "666". I looked up, and saw that the room was filled with other Pokémon who moaned and cried out. I shivered. This place just felt wrong.

"Hey," a small voice said. "Hello?"

I looked around. The voice was coming from a bluish colored Espeon. "He-hello?" I mewed.

"Hi," he said, "I'm Silver. What's your name?"

"I don't have one ... I just hatched." I said sadly. He nodded like he understood.
"Okay - what's your ID number?"

Assuming he meant the number on my collar, I said, "Six sixty-six."

He shivered, and mumbled, "I always thought that was a bad number. But," he added brightly, "You're not a bad Pokémon, so I guess I must be wrong."

"Where are we, anyway?" I said. "I don't feel like it's a very good place."

Silver's expression darkened. "We're in a place where humans take us Pokémon… and experiment on us to kill."

EONS

CHAPTER 2

That night, I couldn't sleep. The hard metal of the cage chafed my fur, and the wire pressed into my skin. Eventually, though, my eyelids drooped and I slipped into a disturbed sleep.

I was laying in a bed of soft grass and moss, cradled by tree roots. A Glaceon's sweet voice drifted around me, and the scent of my mother mingled with the music. The Glaceon slowly turned… and I gasped with horror. The Glaceon's head was perfectly formed, and her head crystal shone like stars. Her fur was sleek and soft. The laces stretching from her crystal were shiny and silky. But that wasn't the problem. The Glaceon had no face. The ground caved in under me… and I was swallowed by blackness.

When I started awake, panting, I found the waking world wasn't much better. A clanging of a cage assaulted my ears as a human picked up Silver's cage and stumbled out with him. Silver flashed me a smile to reassure me, and I felt somewhat calmed.

"Nothing good's in store for him," a voice made me jump. I looked up, and there was a Snivy in the cage on top of mine.

"Hello, who are you?" I asked shyly. He snorted before replying:

"I'm Seven-Eighty-Two," he snapped. "What's it to you?"

"N-nothing." I said. This Pokémon was so impolite!

"Good." He lapsed into silence.

I awaited Silver's return expectantly. Soon enough, he came back with a new collar. I asked him about it, but he, with a puzzled expression, said that he didn't know what it was for. I craned my neck to see it, and it read, "Special Case".

My fur prickled on the back of my neck. I had a bad feeling about the collar. But I told myself I was just being superstitious and I lay my head on my paws, pondering what I could do now.

If I could escape, what would I do? A hungry pack of Houndoom or Mightyena could easily snatch me up and have an early meal. But I would have to escape first. I began formulating a plan in my mind. I could grab the keys when they were experimenting on me… but first I needed to know something.

"Hey… Silver, what did they do to you in the lab?" I asked slowly.

"I…" Silver blinked like he was remembering. "Oh, yes, they were just boosting my Psychic power."

My heart lifted. "So can you lift stuff?"

"Of course! I could lift your cage right now!" he replied cheerily. "So what are you planning, Six-sixty-six?"

"Well…" I leaned toward his cage and delivered the news.

"That's not going to happen!" a loud voice shrilled. It was the Snivy, 729.

"Speak for yourself!" Silver retorted, speaking softly but firmly. "We're going to escape!"
