You're wandering a dark forest, lost and bewildered, when suddenly you see a gleam of light. It's a deep crimson that fills the air around you as you rush towards it. You feel that you should be terrified, but at the moment you're just happy to get out of that place. When you finally reach the source, you see that it's a small opening in the ground. Not that comfortable looking, but you're desperate to try anything, so in you go.

As you clamber in, you realize that it's not that small at all. The walls are narrow right at the entrance to give the appearance of a small dark cave, but widen out further on to a long spacious tunnel. You see torches lining the walls, and you grab one.

It burns steadily as you walk, occasionally glancing curiously at the obsidian walls covered in curling script. It looked ancient and cryptic, but upon closer inspection there were fresh marks along with the older ones.

Life! You think to yourself gleefully, and increase your pace to a jog. The ground beneath you had started out in a downward slope, but now you can feel it going back up. Your legs burn from the exertion and the fact that you haven't eaten in a while, but you keep at it, determined.

After another hour of pushing yourself along though, you finally collapse onto the ground. Your limbs flop uselessly as you try to get back up. So. Close. But while the mind is willing, the body is weak, and your thoughts slowly fade into blankness as you pass out on the strangely warm ground.



You open your eyes slowly, and sit up with a moan. Everything hurt. You groan and look around warily. You're in a clearing on the side of a mountain, surrounded by jagged black rocks and surprisingly green bushes. To your surprise, you're greeted by a Hellhound. She grins at you and pushes a loaf of bread towards you. It's still hot but you tear into it, ignoring the protest of your sore muscles.

Finally, you finish eating, and after a pause to lick the crumbs off your fingers, you turn your gaze to the Hellhound, who had waited patiently the whole time. She gazes back at you, eyes glittering with amusement.

"So, human, welcome to the Asylum." Her voice is surprisingly soft, but has a slight accent to it.

You nod awkwardly, unsure of what to do. She laughs and stands up, beckoning to you with a flick of her tail. "Come."

You stand up slowly, and wince as your joints creak painfully. She waits for you to get your footing, and starts off slowly down a path that you hadn't noticed before.

The Asylum

Slowly and painstakingly, the two of you make it through the winding trail, until you finally come upon what seems like another hole in the ground. She walks in confidently, and after a brief hesitation, you follow.

It opens into a large cave that branches out into many various tunnels. You tail her closely the whole time as she makes her way through, obviously knowing the paths very well. As you go past various other tunnels, you can hear voices, and some other noises, even the squealing of little ones.

The Hellhound smiles as you try to peer into the tunnels to try and catch a glimpse. "Be patient now."

You're curious to what she means, but you nod and follow her into the ever-winding trails. Finally, she stops, and you're grateful for your limbs are aching again. The two of you stand before another tunnel, with a wide ornate entrance covered by a veil of silk. Behind it you see silhouettes of creatures, and hear various barks and hisses.

"You must be wondering what this is, don't you? You have come to the Asylum, where lost souls find homes. Here, you can take care of creatures, breed them, and collect them. They will be your most faithful companions." She grins and beckons for you to enter the tunnel.

You carefully part the veil and enter.


Bobble Dragons- 1k each

You see a smaller cave to the side, and walk over. It's got a gate that the Hellhound opens with a small key around her neck, and you enter. Suddenly, you're swarmed by tiny little creatures. They're miniature dragons no bigger than your, with wings that span their whole body. Everything about them seems to be in motion.

"These are Bobble Dragons." The Hellhound smiles and strokes one that had perched itself upon her shoulder, "They're very affectionate creatures, although can be a bit aggressive at times. They like people though, so you should be fine. They eat various varmints and are pretty great to keep around. This is about as big as they get, and there are many different colors available. If you want one, please take a scroll from that bag over there. They're only 1,000g each."

You see a brown hide bag hanging from the wall, with a couple of quills hanging by it. You take one and unfurl it.

Evolving Bakeneko Kittens- 2k each

After filling out the scroll and picking out your own little bobble dragon, the Hellhound walks over with a basket in her mouth. She deposits it at your feet, and gestures for you to place the dragon in it. You do so, and the two of you leave the crowded cave. Closing the gate behind you, and forcing yourself to walk away from the swarm of cuddly creatures, you follow her along. Soon, you come into sight of another cavern, this time covered with a curtain of beads.

You glance over at the Hellhound, and she nods, so you enter the new cavern, gingerly lifting up the curtain. As you let it down, it all crashes against the wall noisily, and suddenly the air is filled with loud mewling noises. You give the Hellhound an apologetic look, and she shrugs. It must be a common enough occurrence. Resisting the urge to cover your ears, you look around.

It is a cozy little cave, the floor covered with thick plush blankets and bits of yarn. A few pieces of fluff lay scattered around, and throughout this adorable chaos, you can see kittens lying around. They were all different colors, and mostly looked ordinary, but you could see that some of the bigger ones had more than one tail.

"These are Bakeneko kittens, " The Hellhound smiled as one of them raised it's head up curiously to look at the newcomers, before curling back up to sleep. "They're a breed of Japanese Spirit cats. Don't be fooled by their innocent faces now, when they' get older, their tails split and they gain various powers. Usually it's simply flying and controlling fire, but a few have been known to have the ability to shapeshift and reanimate the dead. You do not want to mess with these little guys. They don't learn to speak until they gain their 3rd tail, and don't get their powers until their 7th though so you're safe. But if you really do want one with powers, be sure to bond it with well."

You're surprised at this information, and resist the temptation to inspect the curious kittens closer. Her words seem crazy but you don't doubt their authenticity for a moment. "So how do I get one of these little guys?" You're shocked to hear the words come out of your mouth, but you wait for her response.

The Hellhound gestured with her tail to another hide bag on the wall. "There's one of these in every cave with the scrolls in them. Go right ahead."

You walk over and pick out another scroll.

Special Critters- 3-10k

After yet another cave, you've gotten used to the pace. The Hellhound trots ahead of you, leading you through more winding tunnels. Suddenly, everything seemed to start sloping downwards, and you slow your pace to keep from tumbling down. The Hellhound doesn't appear to notice though, probably being used to this sort of thing.

The pictures on the walls around you gradually change, and you begin to notice a slight glow to them. After a while, it was bright enough that you had no more need of torches, so you snuff it out and placed it in your basket. Everything was bathed in a bright light, emanating from the carved lines themselves, the color of which changed every couple of minutes. The cryptic drawings increase in detail and size, until they filled the wall with swirling lines, and you had to shade your eyes just to look at them. It was just starting to feel uncomfortable, when the Hellhound finally stopped.

You stumble for a second, and regain your footing just as she starts off again, this time towards a small hole in the ground. Another hole... man what is it with these creatures and holes... You grumble to yourself as you climb in, clutching the basket to your chest protectively.

This cave is bigger than all the rest, and while the others had contained creatures of the same variety, here everything was one big chaotic stew. "This is the Breeding room, " The Hellhound grinned, "Otherwise known as the Primordial Ooze. You can see why."

You gaze around in awe, staggered by the sheer number of critters, and craziness of them all. Not a bad crazy, more of an impossibly amazing crazy. There were large ones who tower over you, their horns almost scraping the ceiling, and tinier ones that dart around you, visible only as tiny gleams of light. Some seem to have crawled out from your worst nightmares, but others literally shone with a heavenly glow. It was just... just... You cannot seem to find a word for it all. Gorgeous? Magnificent? Beatific?

The Hellhound seems highly amused, but waits for you to close your gaping jaws before continuing on. "Here you can find any creatures that you like. There are no limits, there are no constraints, there are no laws of physics or life. There is just... Creation."

You nod dumbly, and look around for a hide bag. Spotting it, you enthusiastically pluck out a scroll and unfurl it with shaking fingers.

The Den

You follow the Hellhound down another tunnel, happily clutching a basket. Inside are your new creatures. She shows you past several tunnels with various usernames on them. Here, you can see all your babies, and even breed them when they reach adulthood!
