Welcome!

You find yourself at a door, with a sign hanging over it. The sign reads "Peanut Adoptables" in messy handwriting. Curious, you find yourself gong in. A frazzled looking girl sits in the reception desk.

"Why, hello!" She says. "I'm new around here! How are you doing? Are you here to adopt a pet?" She smiles at you. "We sell pets!"

"I had gathered that," you say, "From the name."

"Oh, but our pets are different!" She says. "We are dedicated to letting you have an experience like no other here at Peanut Adoptables! You can adopt a special pet, and watch it grow! Each takes about a week to hatch and a variable amount of time for it to grow into a unique adult!"

"What sort of pets?"

"Well, yes, that is explained on a further post! You can even breed them and wind up with even more super unique pets!" She giggles.

"Are you getting something or not? Here, follow me..."

The girl takes you through the store, promising to show you the items later. Instead, she takes you to a room labeled "Adoptions" in the same messy handwriting as before. She opens a drawer and pulls out a book. "These are the non-event pets we currently offer. Take a look!"

Puptail: These friendly creatures like everyone.

These adoptables vary greatly in color and the pose of the adult! Every one is unique!

After looking at it, you ask, "Okay, but how do I get one?"

"Easy! Right now, the shelter is closed. However, egg adoptions are available now!" After going over the eggs, though, you get concerned.

"How do I know what will hatch?"

"I'm afraid you won't, but it's easy enough to tell. Oh, they each cost only 400g! Cheap!"

It's a male Beasupin! He is named Sentho. He seems to be very shy, and enjoys sitting in your lap! Adopted 3_15_12, hatched 3_19_12.

It's a female Air Elemepuff! She is named Gaoth. This Elemepuff enjoys going on runs and baths. Adopted through the opening event on 3_15_12, hatched 3_19_12, grew up 3_19_12

She brings you to a billboard. On it, it talks about events. "Look to your heart's content! Event pets don't have a hatchling phase, and do not have unique adult poses. However, they often come in many varieties, all from the same egg!"

We are open, and want to celebrate! To do that, we have made available a Mystery Egg. Until the event ends in one week, the egg will come free with each new adoption! Also, you can purchase extra for 100g (REALLY cheap!) Simply put "Mystery Egg" instead of a number on your adoption form. Mystery Eggs do not come free with other Mystery Eggs. Also, no matter how many pets you adopt, you can only get four mystery eggs in one day.

"This is where we'll eventually do breeding. However, your pets need to grow up first." Despite saying this, she pulls out a book labelled "Manual for Breeding", and shows you this. "It's so you start thinking about it for when you're ready! Tell me if you think something needs changing."

How do you breed?
Simple! Just post the form that will appear while breeding is open, and the two will lay an egg in 3-7 days! Only adults can breed. To pick up an egg costs cash, more or less depending on what you bred together. If you don't pick it up, it will be put in the shop! Pets are only able to lay one egg every time they cross. It then takes a few days for them to breed again. You CAN breed with another owner! Simply fill out the form in a way that makes it clear, and have both owners submit the form. Only three pets owned by you can be over here at a time.

Basic Cross: Single Species, No Multi-Type, No Albino
This is the easiest cross to predict, and sets the stage for other crosses. To predict, use the following knowledge:
1) There is a 50:50 gender ratio.
2) There is a 1:16 chance of an albino offspring, or a 1:32 chance of a certain gender being albino.
3) In females, the coloring is a combination of one parent's primary color, and the other's secondary. In males, only one parent's color carries through. It is unknown how they get their other color.

Albino Crosses
If you add an albino to a cross, another albino pet becomes more likely. Normally, the ratio is 1:16, or 1:32 for a certain gender. However, albino crosses produce different ratios:
Albino x Normal) 1:14 ratio of albinism, or 1:28 for a particular gender.
Albino x Albino) A 1:12 albinism ratio, or 1:24 per gender.

Trans-Species Cross
Follow all the stated above rules, including the rules for color! However, the offspring have three new ratios for you to learn:
1) 1:4 chance of being mother species
2) 1:4 chance of being father species
3) 1:2 chance of being blended

Multi-Type Cross
Certain pets have multi-type characteristics. These pets vary greatly in a crucial part of their appearance that is not their color. These crosses can therefore blend. Follow the same ratios as above.

Yay! A customer!

Vulcana: "I'll be right in!" The shopkeeper shouts. She comes back with eight eggs. You become flustered, remembering ordering only four. "No, silly! You get four free Mystery Eggs! I'll go set up your kennel. They'll hatch in a week, or less with the use of certain items, so check back then!" She smiled.

"Also, Breeding is up for a trial run. The peanut banner for it is coming soon. Please read the manual for more information!"

"Finally, the shop opens today! Please check it out, it should be up by 3:30."
