This will be your average adoptables shop. Here you can buy, name, describe, trade, breed, and go on quests with your pet. Feel free to do whatever you want with these little guys, as long as you provide a link back to me or give me credit.
A rickety old house whistles in the wind, a battered "Welcome" sign stabbed into its massive lawn, creaking every few minutes. The sounds of creatures of all sorts draws you, especially when you see a "For Sale" sign on the door. Knocking, a thick voice tells you to come in.
A hunched figure in the corner crouches over some food dishes, but you're preoccupied with the variety of creatures kept in walls of cages in front of you. On each cage there is a sign with their name and a bit about their species, along with their price.
"Luminous Rattlears - Male"
"Very recent species of Rattlear discovered, and the smallest yet, able to fit in your palm. Like their name would suggest, when they move they make a continuous rattling sound. Experts have yet to figure out why. It doesn't have scales, but it is instead covered in very thick, hardened, reflective skin. They mainly live in the ground and mainly eat insects."

"Luminous Rattlears - Female"
"Very recent species of Rattlear discovered, and the smallest yet, able to fit in your palm. Like their name would suggest, when they move they make a continuous rattling sound. Experts have yet to figure out why. It doesn't have scales, but it is instead covered in very thick, hardened, reflective skin. They mainly live in the ground and mainly eat insects."

"Falts"
"Falts are thought to be highly powerful creatures. If you're kind to it, it will keep you company and rest its head against your shoulder. If you've done anything to make it turn against you, it will make your life hell. A falt with an unkind owner has often been behind ghost stories reported by neighbors. Its face is very wrinkled, and must be cleaned frequently. They have no pupils, and are very likely to be blind before they reach adulthood. An owner must be careful of its hooks at the end of its wings. They grow to five feet, sitting on their back legs."
"300 gold"
"Dabbits"
"Dabbits are very friendly, and very clean creatures. They have highly sensitive whiskers on their heads and horizontal pupils, but a terrible sense of smell. Dabbits are very social, and love wrapping around one another. When people first gave them grasses to eat, the dabbits refused to leave them alone and would wrap around their ankles. About as large as a fox, when in danger, they will produce a foul smell and curl up. If you try to uncurl them in this state, they will just curl up again."
"300 gold"
"Houseflies - Female"
"Why anyone would make a housefly (in this case, Musca Domestica) live for years but not increase its size is beyond me. I don't know much about these things, they came without papers. The females are bigger and their eyes are spaced apart more than the male's. They feed on dead or decaying material, and are normally pests. They can make charming pets, though. (Please do not purchase a flyswatter with these)"

"Rokurokubi Kitsunes"
"Living up to both legends, the rokurokubi kitsune is very sly and cunning, with a long, stretchy neck to boot. Unlike some versions of the legend of the rokurokubi, the rokurokubi kitsune always knows about its long neck, will freely use it while awake, and will eat anything, and anyone, that gets in its way. When not wanting to solve things with violence, the rokurokubi kitsune will instead opt for its cunning. The markings around its eyes, which make it look like the kitsune from Japanese woodblock prints, only strengthen its relation to both legends."

"Chameleon Wolf"
"There have been stories of chameleon wolves for centuries. They get their name from their ability to fade into nothing. Some speculate that they can only blend in, others believe that they can truly turn invisible. Chameleon wolves are rarely kept as pets, largely because they are highly aggressive, and can wipe out an entire farmer's livestock in one night. They have been shipped around in the black market despite this."

A large note is tacked beneath, written in red.
"DANGER! KEEP IN CAGE AT ALL TIMES"
"Cloud Weasels"
"Found only in a few select small villages on a chain of islands, cloud weasels are very rare, and very valuable. They have the ability to blow orange clouds out of the nostrils. If you breathe in the orange cloud, you will become very relaxed and creative. For that reason, famous artists love these animals. While they have small undeveloped wings on their backs, they do not fly with them, and instead float along. No one knows why they can do this. Though not actual weasels, when the village people first found them, they thought that they were the cousins of the kamaitachis lurking about. There is no relation."
Retired.
"Yurmies"
"Yurmies grow to be very large, and will eat nearly anything, but don't let this intimidate you. They're very intelligent and talkative, and have been trained to speak certain phrases and words. They love to swing from things, and hold on to branches and such.
"There is a large debate over this, but most people agree that, yes, they are closely related to us. Yurmies have fur over their faces, wearing it like a mask, for when they want to intimidate someone, they lift the mask and screech. For reasons people still haven't figured out, they have short tibulas and fibulas, but long femurs."
