Chapter 1:

Svet crept silently to the window of his house, looking out from his spot on the window sill, looking out to the garden where Sherri sat. She didn't move at all, her eyes closed. She was everything he had ever wanted, just to hold her in his paws, for her to love him. But he knew it would never happen, she was the oracle. She had no mate, and never would. Sadly, he walked away from the window, trying to pull himself away from the sight of her. He thought he might go crazy, he loved her with all his heart and soul but he knew he could never be with her.

He curled back up on his bed. But when he closed his eyes the only thing he could see was pictures of Sherri flashing through his mind. After a while he drifted off into a restless sleep, dreams of Sherri flowing through his mind.

He woke up with a start. Looking around he could see that it was morning. He had dreamed that Sherri had bean there, on his bed sleeping with him. He closed his eyes and imagined Sherri being there, rapping his tail around the air where she would have bean if she had bean there. Opening his eyes he went to his window, looking out at the gardens as he had last night. There, in the same spot, was Sherri. Her eyes where closed but her ears twitched, listening to the sounds around her. All of a soundden she opened her eyes and looked up at him, smiling. He blushed and quickly ran away from the window, not really wanting her to know that he had bean watching her. But, he knew that she had seen him. It was no use running from her. Running back over to the window he took a quick peek, but was starteled to find that she was no longer there. For hours she must have sat there, not moving. But all of a sudden she was gone. Running away from the window again he ran out of his house and to the garden, looking at the very spot she had been. At first glance there was nothing there, but, after taking a closer look, he saw something. It was a tiny rose plant, with just one bud on it...had Sherri done this? Had she done it, for, him?! No, she couldn't have. He thought shaking his head and walking away from the garden.

Next Day

Chapter 2:

The sun was shining bright today, rays of light washing over the dew drop sprinkled flowers making them glitter and shine even brighter. Sherri walked through her garden, scratching the weeds to shreds and using her little bit of magic to help the young plants grow. Once she reached the middle of the garden she trotted over to where she had been sitting the day before. She bent down to examine the rose, smelling it. She breathed in the sent of the beautiful yellow flower, but there was another sent in mingled with the smell of the flowers. It was another Vita, Svet to be precise. Sherri sat down beside her flower, sighing. She knew that Svet fancied her, and she knew that he knew they would never be together. But that didn't stop him from watching her through his window or trying to follow her. She didn't even know if she would like him if she wasn't the Oracle...she couldn't remember very well the days before she was the Oracle, or if she was ever not the Oracle! Sighing again she started to meditate, what she did most of her time.

Svet hurried through the garden, taking a short cut through the middle to get the the castle where he was having a class on healing magic. His bright green orb dancing around his front paws as he ran. The middle of the garden was just around the next corner. He looked over his shoulder while running, he thought that he had heard something following him, turning around quickly again to focus on the pathway his ran right into Sherri meditating. He blushed a bright red. He quickly bowed to Sherri before running zooming around her and running off, but he didn't get very far. After a couple of steps he stopped suddenly, he turned around and ran back over to Sherri. He gave her a quick kiss on her cheek and mumbled a quite “sorry” before bolting to the castle, blushing an even brighter red.

Sherri sat there, stunned. First he had run right into her, then he...he had kissed her! Of choures, it wasn't her first kiss, she had had many other boys who had fancied her...but not in a very long time had someone had the nerve to really kiss her. She smiled and blushed, realizing that she didn't really mind him kissing her, as long as he didn't try to again. She glanced over at her rose, it had bloomed! Pondering how it could possibly have done that so quickly without her help, she got back to work in the garden growing the other seedlings.

Chapter 3:

Sherri waited at the door to the castle. Classes would be coming out soon and she needed to talk to Svet. A clock in the castle tower chimed, telling her that it was three O-clock. The door opened and Vita's started coming out. She loved to watch them all laughing and talking together...some times she wished that she could just be like them, not have to worry about being the Oracle to. But then again, she loved her job. Just then Svet came out, when he saw her his face brightened. Sherri winced, she really did feel sorry for him, but there was nothing she could do. “Svet, we need to talk” she said flicking her tail and turning around, bounding off to the garden where her rose was.

When they reached the center of the garden she quickly checked on her rose, it had grown another bud in the past hour. Because of her magic normally plants grew well around her, but this one had been growing much faster then her others for some reason. She sat down, curling her tail around the flowers base. She took a deep breath. “Svet, I'm the Oracle...I can't love, it's against the rules.” she said trying to compose herself. “I don't love you, even if I could I don't think I would...I'm sorry.” she finished, but when she looked up all she saw was the tip of Svet's tail as he ran out of the garden.

Svet ran from the garden, tears coming down his face. He knew that this would happen, so why did it hurt so much? He wound his way past other Vita's, trees, and flower bushes, running to his house.
Once he was there he curled up on his bed.

He felt broken...
