Hi Everyone!

Yes, I am holding another contest, but this one will be even more open in regards to theme and content then either of my other contests.

So, onto the details: Please read the following carefully:

THE DEADLINE OF THIS CONTEST WILL BE 12:00A.M., MAY 1st, 2012 EST (that is, Midnight, April 30th).
EACH ENTRANT IS ALLOWED TO SUBMIT A MAXIMUM OF 4 ENTRIES.

THERE WILL BE TWO PEOPLE JUDGING THE ENTRIES FOR THIS CONTEST:
1. Cassiopeia - myself!
2. Munin

THERE WILL BE 3 PRIZES:
1st Prize: MALE VOID DRAGON

2nd Prize: 250k in Gold and a COBALT DRAGON

3rd Prize: 200k in Gold and a DAWN CINERSI

ENTRIES CAN BE IN THE FOLLOWING MEDIUMS: TRADITONAL ART, DIGITAL ART, OR A PHOTOMANIPULATION. ALL ENTRIES THAT ARE NOT SPRITES HAVE TO BE AT LEAST 500x500 (width x height) AND NO LARGER THAN 600x900 (approximate estimations). I AM ACCEPTING SPRITES AS ENTRIES, AND SPRITES HAVE TO BE AT LEAST 130X90. ALL ENTRIES MUST EITHER HAVE SOME KIND OF BACKGROUND, WHETHER IT IS A FULL BACKGROUND DEPICTING SOME KIND OF SCENE, OR A SIMPLE DECORATIVE IMAGE. IF THERE IS ANY WHITE SPACE, IT MUST BE MADE TRANSPARENT.

Thematically, there is only ONE RESTRICTION to this contest. The main image in the piece must be a WINGED CREATURE...ie) a creature with wings!! You may depict a bird, real or mythological, a dragon, a humanoid with wings, etc. As long as the main focus of the entry is that of a creature with wings, it should be allowed!

Although, nothing really shocks me, please note:
1. Everyone entering must follow MS Rules.
2. If you have questions about your subject matter, please feel free to either PM me, or to pose the question as a post within this thread.

I do want to stress I am looking for QUALITY not QUANTITY. Do not feel as if you need to enter 4 pieces...I am looking for original, carefully crafted pieces: strong, memorable artwork takes time.
Obviously, I am allowing the use of reference pictures and stock images, however, if you use either, you must provide me with links to the images.
I cannot stress enough that I am looking for original artwork, which means that even if you are doing some kind of multi-media piece, like a photo-manipulation, the entry cannot simply be a copy of something someone else has already done. For example, you cannot simply re-color another artist's work and enter the image - this would result in a disqualification. Please ask me if you feel that you are unsure about the originality of your entry.

Finally, remember to only get the answers to your questions directly from me, or from a post I made in the thread. I cannot be held responsible for any information you received from another person, even if they may claim I gave them that information.

Please DO NOT answer any questions about the contest that are posted in this thread even if you believe you know the answer...I will make sure to answer all questions. If someone who is not myself answers any questions about this contest, please understand that this could be potentially harmful to other entrants. If someone other than me answers a question that is posted about the contest, that person may receive a wrong answer, or be given misleading information. If I miss that question, the person who asked it may produce an image that includes something I do not want, or does not include something I asked for specifically. Also I want to make sure I can consider every question, as I may receive a comment or question that points out a section of my original post that may need to be changed in order to make some information given in this Original Post more clear for everyone who wishes to enter.
If you choose to answer a question within this post, you will be given one warning. If you choose to answer a question a second time, your entry will be disqualified...I hope everyone understands why this kind of SPAM could hurt other people's chances in the contest, and why I have to be firm on this rule. I want to receive as many entries as possible, and I would hate to have to disqualifiy anyone.

GREAT! I hope I get many entries for this contest...and, seeing as I have two Void Dragons, I wanted to be able to give the Male one to a deserving artist!!!

Of course you may enter with your digital art - as long as it is original (ie. the pieces are yours and not stolen or basically copied), you may enter up to three times.

I would love to enter! I've been itching to draw something with wings. =D Watercolours ok?

About 70% of all my drawings have wings...I don't usually do backgrounds though... Here's a entry for you~ I'll probably decide on another...soon ;3
