Help

Yeah so this is kind of weird and awkward and I'm not even sure if this is how I'm supposed to do it but hey. Here we go.

So I've been struggling with self-harm for the past five, almost six, years, and after being about seven months clean. I recently slipped up again. Due to my family situation, I can't seek any sort of professional help that either costs money or requires me to go anywhere, so I would need a free online therapy (for self-harm, if that makes a difference?).

The only issue is that I'm kind of hesitant to just dive off the deep end and sign up for the first one, and I don't even know where to begin with all of this, honestly. If anyone has any advice or can point me somewhere, I would appreciate the help.

I'm just trying to seek professional help to stop self-harming. Please help.

also sorry if this isn't where I should do this or anything

Edit: I live in America.

What country do you reside? Might be helpful to know in order to point you in the right direction.

Remember none of us here are doctors but there are a lot of people here who know what you are going through as they have been through it themselves.

I am not qualified however I can give you some advice surrounding depression but not the self-harm part. My sister died a few years back and what has helped me is surrounding myself with things and people I like.

It does not take the pain away but it can distract you from it. What things bring you peace, what can you do to get more of it? I know its not easy if you have family issues as it can be hard to escape.

However, if you can find time for yourself do the things you love. Even if you don't feel like it, just doing anyway can help over time.

Hope you find some help and wishing you the best <3
