INFP-T. The first time I took a test like this, I was an INFJ. Though, my results for this test were 58% P and 42% J. That was the closest split between any of them.

INF-TJ-P
I fit into four categories for the personality types, so it's usually pretty easy for me to fit into descriptions of parts of each of them. It's kind of funny though- I'm usually 80%-90% for I and N, but 50% for the other four letters

For those who don't mesh with the results, find a letter changing or relate to one letter or not the other, I'd really, really strongly recommend learning about cognitive functions. That's the root of all this type of personality theory. Taking Feeling for an example, you have introverted feeling and extroverted feeling. Extroverted feelers are NOT necessarily extroverted people--it just means they make decisions based on group harmony, can read other people's feelings pretty well and process their feelings externally. Introverted feelers, likewise, are not necessarily introverted people, however, they do make decisions based on subjective feelings and an internal value system. It can get confusing, because if part of your value system is group harmony, you might think your an extroverted feeler. In my experience, introverted feelers have a very strong sense of what they personally prefer and are pretty in tune with their own emotions. Extroverted feelers have to talk through their emotions, because they can't quite place them, and need to hear it come back to them from an external source and work through them externally.

Along those lines, you can't possibly change from an INFJ to an INFP, because they share no conscious functions. An INFJ has extroverted feeling as their support function, whereas an INFP has introverted feeling as their dominant function. Additionally, an unhealthy INFJ will turn in to an ENFP when they are in shadow, because of how their shadow functions stack. There are eight functions--four perceiving functions and four judging functions--and how they stack up in preference of use is what determines your type. And that's the key word, as well--preference; what you prefer to do, what you naturally turn to. You can be incredibly good at something, but that doesn't mean you prefer it. It's like learning to write with your non-dominant hand--you might be able to write nearly perfectly with it, but you will always have a preferred hand.

If anyone wants to talk further about MBTI and functions or has any questions on it, drop me a message. I've been studying this stuff for years.

:t-shrug: I tried to do some reading, but it is just making my head hurt. Maybe I will try again later.

Ah, yeah, it is a lot to take in. I found it took me a good few months before I fully wrapped my head around it, and then another year or so of exploring them more in depth to gain a thorough understanding.

I know some people who have found this test useful for determining INFJ - INFP.

This page does a really great job of breaking down INFJ and INFP function stacks in to more relatable terms.

Hope these help :)

Now, again, the very first quiz I ever took said INFJ. I tried the quiz for INFJ vs INFP.

INFP 53%
INFJ 47%

The last quiz had that breakdown I mentioned (58% P and 42% J), and it seems I am always close between those two.

Still can't say I understand this very much, but I had to take a new quiz/survey at work and I am trying to use those results to understand these better.

"Their strong awareness of emotion and their inner feelings and values makes INFPs gifted authors, actors, or even veterinarians or social activists." :t-O_O:

Did you get a chance to read the other link in that post? It breaks down the functional differences between the two types in layman's terms with examples :)

If you feel like it, I have got few questions to help determine which functions you use :).

1. Do you find that you regularly have a lot of seemingly unrelated ideas or conclusions about a situation, or do you tend to draw a single conclusion/have a singular focus with ideas?

2. If someone were to ask you how you feel, would you be able to answer them readily? Or do you find it difficult to determine your own feelings/why you feel them, but can read other people's emotions and motivations more easily?

3. Are you able to look at something in your physical environment or in a virtual environment and determine a more efficient set up with relative ease, regardless of whether or not you have had previous exposure to something similar before? Or do you find it easier to refer back to a mental catalogue of possible solutions and determine best fit?

What was the other one you did at work? Insights? Big Five? (I sort of love psychometric testing ...)
