I've consistently come up as INTP (The Logician) every time I've taken the Meyers-Briggs.

I'm pretty satisfied with how it describes me. I'm usually a skeptic when it comes to personality tests or horoscopes, or really anything not administered by a professional.

In terms of discrepancies, according to the description of INTP, I'm supposed to be difficult to lie to. I'm actually great to lie to because I'll either way overanalyze everything or I'll be too intimidated to confront you about it. That being said, I do like and am good at recognizing patterns of behavior from people I'm comfortable with. I can tell who somebody is from a distance by the way they walk. It's almost a hobby of mine. I have trouble remembering and recalling faces so I just associate the gait with the person.
I'm definitely very withdrawn and insensitive to others and I second-guess everything constantly.

A couple years ago I was INTP and now I have shifted over to a INFP it's cool to see how things change!

Hello ^^

I've noticed that nearly everyone got INFP here and I find it quiet intresting since I am also an INFP (INFP-A/-T). I have taken the 16personalities test 2 times and got the same result.
Now the questions:

- do I agree with the results/can I identify myself with a given personality type?
I find that most of the things written there describes me. However I don't agree with the recommended jobs at the end of the results. It doesn't fit me at all. (I should be an author, but currently I study biochemycal engineering and my dream is to work in the field of genetic engineering. It is as far from beeing an author as anything could be..)..

- can anyone simply fit into one of the categories given or do you feel they are too restrictive? / - are these tests accurate or not?
A lot of people commented above that they didn't get always the same result or that they are 40% I and 60% E and so on.. So I think not entirely. I believe that nobody can be described perfectly with any of these personality types since there aren't two entirely similar person. We can create "personality groups" and try and sort people into them. But the more detailed these groups are the less people will fit into them. On the other hand I found that this thest was one of the most accurate I came across and it could help me a great deal with understanding my own personality.

- can you "change personality" as you age or go through certain life experiences or not?
I think yes. When we born we don't really have a defined personality and as we go through the phases of life from baby to adult we develope our personalities. And during this so many things can influence us. Our friends and parents or an idol we had as a kid. Nearly anything.. So as we age we change our personality constantly little by little.

This fits me too well.

I tied for INFP and INTP (and rather consistently as well) but I'm personally not too crazy about it. Supposedly, it was designed to suggest careers to people and not much else. It does, however, offer a few nice bases when creating a character.

I took a paper version, and it read I'm an INTJ. When I took th true colors test, it showed a gold-green tie with orange then a little blue. Fits me to a T

I've taken that test so many times over the years and always end up with INFJ-T. I've never met a fellow INFJ before; most of my friends are INFP or INTP, and it's pretty interesting how many INFPs are on most of the sites I'm on.

But yeah, INFJ does suit me, although I can usually relate to many of the INTP posts my best friend reblogs on Tumblr constantly. >w<"
