Ok so I have a serrious phobia for moths.. I literally scream and run if I see one. Other bugs creep me out too but the worst is moths. I know I had this phobia since I was a kid but, I'm not exatally sure why or how it started. I am strangely not afraid of spider's, snakes, frogs or heights (like my mother.)

This is a random topic that just popped intonmy head when i saw a bug wall.. I thought it may be interesting to hear if you you guys have any strange phobias! Post them here. Feel free to explain how they may have started and what freaks you out the most! ;)

The creepy fantasy creatures my imagination creates. I can't stand some of them because I know EVERYTHING about them and what they do. Some are 'cool' creepy others are just downright terrifying.

Well, I have trypanophobia, which goes along with Algophobia.
Trypanophobia is a fear of needles and injections, and Algophobia is an intense fear of pain.
I am not afraid of the needle itself, I am afraid of them being put into my body. I never used to have the fear; it just developed over time.

That is true for me.
For me, I have the vasovagal reflex; which means that it is possible for me to pass out when getting an injection. I also suffer from hypersensitivity to the pain caused by a needle, which is said to only affect less than 1 percent of the population.

Im really not sure if a fear of falling is a phobia....but that's me :3! I can climb as high on a tree you want me to, but I wont be able to get back down! Having this fear is also a pain while attempting to do gymnastics.

I have a phobia, or should I say phobias of needles, blood tests, heights, swings, accidents...and plenty more to name.

I have yet to find the name of the phobia but i have a phobia of solid objects coming out of living organisms. Like i'm fine with blood, pus and all that but what really makes me feel ill and whatnot is like that toad that has the eggs in, not on, in little pouches in it's back, and then they just like crawl out! But also when people have fenstrations and holes in their throat skin and little hard mineral balls form

I did some research and found out the fear of moths is called Mottephobia.. apparently it's similar to the fear of butterflies and bugs but I'm only dead scared of moths!

I have a strange phobia of batteries, not very bad. No idea why
Edit: I had a phobia when I was little, but it has become nothing more than a slight thought now

I have a really bad phobia of thunder. Whenever I heard thunder I literally start hyperventilating and shaking. I hate it more than anything else.

I have a fear of just Not Knowing Things. it freaks me out to know that, say, I have a piece of homework due, and not knowing what it is. it causes panic attacks.

other than that, i wouldn't call phobias. I'm fine with spiders unless I'm about to walk into one, or it's skittering around in a building. ick.
