I used to have grave social phobia, but other than that I don't think I have one. Or I probably have one, I just haven't found it yet :derp:

What’s the phobia called where you’re scared of suspicious looking dots? From a distance they could look like polka dots, but up close they’re hollow...

If that’s even a thing.

I'm slightly acrophobic, but only slightly. I think it originated when I fell off the playground at my old school when I was like six (My friends theorize that that's what "broke" me) and I've had a fear of tall places/free fall ever since. Funnily, I also love climbing and being in high places in general, so in a way it's almost self-contradictory. I always have a very, very, very mild case of haphephobia, which is the fear of being touched. However, I would call it more as "aversion to being touched" since actual haphephobia is often caused by abuse, and I don't want to paint it as some weird quirk the way it is with me. Example of my aversion to touch-

Friend: *Touches my shoulder*
Me: *Flinches, makes weird noise, eyes widen, whip around at the speed of light and hisses*

So, I'm not sure if it's a phobia but anyway, I'm afraid of deep water, especially sea/ocean. I mean I don't fear deep pools, or something, I think it's more the fear of the unknown, large space I can't see, even in video games (ARK, Skyrim, even Dying Light...) I feel uneasy diving. I don't feel scared when I'm near ocean but seeing some videos of people diving gives me goosebumps, also I would never like to go diving or swim in the open ocean like around a boat or something. I never told anyone x)

EDIT:
Oh and same as ZaraTina, I hate being touched.

If I agree to it's ok but I hate when people touch me without my permission, even family and friends, again same as ZaraTina I don't fear it but hate it.

It's called thalassophobia, I believe. I have it or something similar to it, and never knew there was a term for it until I found a sub for it on Reddit. I don't fear the ocean, or bodies of water themselves necessarily (except for quarry pools, they are terrifying to me), just not being able to see through it to know what is below the surface. I can't swim unless I'm in a clear body of water. Oceans, lakes, ponds are a big NOPE. Even a pool at night, unless it's lit from under water, is a nope.

Ironically, I am an avid herper who spends a lot of time around rivers, creeks, lakes and ponds trapping/catching/documenting and photographing wild herps (primarily aquatic turtles but also snakes, lizards and various amphibians). I wade through water up to my knees but anything above that causes me serious anxiety. And I absolutely cannot be near any type of structure in the water (bridge columns, sunken debris that breeches the surface, etc).

I have phobias of cockroaches, wasps, heights, small spaces and the dark. I also relate to being scared of the ocean, but I also just had some bad experiences with that, which are probably making me feel reasonably wary. On the other hand, I've been stung by a wasp and it didn't hurt, but the fact there was a wasp on my arm terrified me, and cockroaches have never hurt me.

Here's a fun one, submechanophobia and megalohydrothalassophobia. It's a subspecies of thalassophobia with the fear of man-made objects underwater and Big Things underwater, respectively. Personally I can't handle anything actively decaying or covered in algea/detritus. If you've ever seen the photos of the closed "20000 leagues under the sea" disney ride, it absolutely terrifies me. In the latter category, that oil rig image of the bigfin squid inspires an absolute flight-and-more-flight response.

the wild thing is, I'm a licensed scuba diver, and I actually didn;t develop this fear until after I got my license. Something about how absolutely silent it is underwater, being somewhere humans aren't honestly supposed to be and aren't equipped to move around in, and the eerie gliding-into-view way you come upon things when the visibility is low in murky water....hhghHurhg. Don't get me wrong, the ocean and bodies of water in general are beautiful and awe-inspiring and fascinating, but they also scare the absolute hell out of me.

I can't think of a phobia I have...I'm scared of things, but with good reason i.e. fear of walking through marshes because you can die very easily..

I have a few. I can't do needles, though I have started to do better now. Bears, cockroaches and big spiders are just terrifying to me. I also have a huge fear of falling off of a ship at night. I think that's just the idea of it not coming back and the lights disappearing on the horizon. *shudders*

I have a few phobias that most of the time give me crippling anxiety.

• Thalassophobia - Fear of the Ocean.
This stems all the way back to my childhood when I first watched Jaws. I have a morbid fear of both the open, bottomless black water and the things that may be down there you don't know of or can't see.

• Arachnophobia - Probably the most common of phobias. I have a bad fear of spiders. The small dust spiders don't really bother me as long as they don't touch me but any spider bigger than a dime sends me running.

• Spectrophobia - The fear of mirrors. This is a weird one. I don't have as big of a problem being in a room with a mirror if it's day but as soon as I'm either alone or it starts to get dark I can't be in the same room with one. I also panic when I'm in the bathroom washing my face or hair and I have to close my eyes momentarily. I'm always scared I will see something in my reflection.

• Pediophobia - The fear of mannequins, dolls, or humanoid inanimate objects. They just creep me out so bad. I cannot have anything humanoid in my room. Mostly I'm afraid that if I get too close to one it will end up moving or blinking at me.

• Spacephobia - The fear of open outer space. Basically just the fear of the unknown and aliens/alien-like bodies. Looking at pictures of the blackness of space is very unsettling for me.

• Trypophobia - The fear of holes or bumps.
This one isn't really that much of a fear. Anything having a cluster of holes makes my skin crawl and my stomach to churn. I can't look at anything of the sort without wrenching and my vision going fuzzy.
