Do you have a tattoo/piercing?: nope, neither
If not, Are you against them in any way? nope, i'm just too lazy to care for the piercings and not motivated enough to go through pain to get tatoo's, as well as my parents moaning about how itll be an ugly smudge in 30 years.
Do you think that people who have them should immediately be looked down upon because of it? nope, like more than a quarter of my co-workers have them, and they're still nice.
Why do you think people should/should not have them? well i have to admit i'm a bit of a snob that i like their to be actual meaning behind tatoo's not just that it looks nice/cool, i dunno if that answers it but i don't know how :P
In the work force, should a tattoo or a piercing be the deciding factor in whether or not they get a job? nope, obviously isn't where I work. Except certain face/uncovered tatoo's they'd scare the children.

Do you have a tattoo/piercing?:
yes earrings only
If not, Are you against them in any way?
no not any way,"be who you want to be and not care what others think ~andy beirsack
Do you think that people who have them should immediately be looked down upon because of it?
NOOOOOO NOOOOO that is sterotyping and it caused many friends to leave me and hate me as well.Looking down on people just because of their looks is very stupid. My friend has more then 2 pairs of percing and she did nothing in her life to deserve what she had.She was bullied for so many dumb reason just because how she talk or look.
Why do you think people should/should not have them?
actaully many people think that having piercings and tattoos are satanist, well many people have tattoos to remeber what they faced though , to encourage them , to show what mistakes they had in the past to remind them not to do it agian, to show who they are, to show their likes. Piercings dont really have a meaning to me though it will to some other people.
In the work force, should a tattoo or a piercing be the deciding factor in whether or not they get a job?
NO NO, in results people who have piercings like snake bites, angle bites, etc actaully dont get hired then people who dont have the most commen piercings such as regualar ear loobs.Just because u have something that others dont or look different does not mean they are a bad person.Sure they must have made msitakes in the past but who dosen't?

TBH when i told my mom i want my second piercing on my ear loob she was shooked and said no thats wrong.Soneone like you won't have it on my watch.

Do you have a tattoo/piercing?:
I have 13 piercings, but no tattoos yet. I have 5 in each ear with the bottom ones stretched. I have one small ring in my nose, a regular tongue piercing and a basic bellybutton one.
If not, Are you against them in any way?
Not against them in anyway. I know some people don't like it and some people do. It's the persons choice. It's just like choosing a hairstyle, only tattoos last a lot longer haha.
Do you think that people who have them should immediately be looked down upon because of it?
Absolutely not. It's about being who you are, being able to be yourself. It's a part of your identity and no one shoud tell you it's wrong. It's your skin, so you choose.
Why do you think people should/should not have them?
I personally prefer tattoos with meanings, but some people want cool ones or just art. It's just up to the person who wants it tbh. I'm not that fond of tattooing a boyfriends name because that might get complicated, but it's still up to the person to choose and us to accept.
In the work force, should a tattoo or a piercing be the deciding factor in whether or not they get a job?
Nonono, I feel like that's wrong. To me that would be like saying "OMG, you're wearing a green sweather??? You can obviously not work here". Still people will judge based on how it was supposed to have been before. Tbh, I've seen shows about old mafias and they wore suits, so.. Should that be bad too then?
Please, accept people more. Even having blue hair can make one not get the job one wants.

Do you have a tattoo/piercing?: I used to have earrings, but they kept getting infected.

If not, Are you against them in any way? Well...see below.

Do you think that people who have them should immediately be looked down upon because of it?
Have a giant bloody skull on your face? Have a topless female on your arm? Then yes. You do deserve to be looked down on.

Have a butterfly or a dragon or your back? That's okay. Have an inappropriate tattoo that can't be seen unless you're pretty much naked? That's okay, too. I'd have to ask why would you get one where no one could see, but that's your choice/money.

Piercings themselves I see no problem with, unless they put you in danger or hurt your skin like mine did.

Why do you think people should/should not have them? They're a way of expressing yourself, and that's cool and all, but you need to take into consideration other people. Ain't no five year old at the pool want to see dead, hung Jesus on your arm.

In the work force, should a tattoo or a piercing be the deciding factor in whether or not they get a job? It depends on the job. If the piercings could cause, again, safety problems, then maybe. They are removable.

If you have tattoos that would scare or otherwise put off people/children (if you have to work with them or they'll see you a lot, of course) then again, yes. Even more than the piercings since they aren't really removable.

Do you have a tattoo/piercing?: I have several piercings. I've had 14 total done before, I only have 10 right now, and I plan to get a few more and a tattoo eventually. I have my actual ear lobes, snake bites, an industrial, a tragus, and a triple spiral helix- last three are basically 6 different kinds of cartilage piercings
If not, Are you against them in any way? n/a
Do you think that people who have them should immediately be looked down upon because of it? No. It's your own body. As long as you aren't rude about it or have inappropriate things on the ring, stud, or barbell, then why should that make you a worse person? It's just a hole. It's the same as if I have a cut.
Why do you think people should/should not have them? I don't think people should have piercings or should not have piercings. I just think that people should feel like they have the freedom to get one if they want one without feeling like they won't be able to get a job or be looked down on or something bad happen.
In the work force, should a tattoo or a piercing be the deciding factor in whether or not they get a job? No. You should be hired based on your abilities and performance, not your appearance. Especially if they are easily hidden such as ear piercings (if you have hair) or chest tattoos. The only time they should be considered in the decision is if they are inappropriate or offensively gruesome. Like I said earlier, I have 10 piercings, but (I'm a senior in high school) I have a 4.0 GPA, recently left a job and am about to go in for an interview at a new place, got accepted to every college I applied for, and am being nominated for multiple scholarly programs. Just because I have piercings doesn't mean I'm not excellent at what I do.

Do you have a tattoo/piercing?:
Not yet. But I'm trying to get some in few days.
If not, Are you against them in any way?
No not at all! Well, I have a friend who has many piercings like ears, snakebites, angelbites, eyebrows but she's still adorable and sweet and everyone think she's nice. Some think's her piercings are kinda too much and bit repulsive, but they still like her :)
Do you think that people who have them should immediately be looked down upon because of it?
Nope I don't think so. But some people DO look down upon people because of that. Unfortunately, none of people who has some sort of careers in law or politics has such 'extreme' tattoos or piercings.
Why do you think people should/should not have them?
If you want to have it, then do it. Some people might think it's disgusting, intimidating or whatever but it's non of their business anyway.
Yet, if you're trying to look good for those people, it becomes your business and you should be aware of those.
In the work force, should a tattoo or a piercing be the deciding factor in whether or not they get a job?
Yes, unless you're working in art related jobs. I hate to say this but it's true. Most employers dislike tattooed or pierced people.

Do you have a tattoo/piercing?:
None

If not, Are you against them in any way?
I have no problem with tattoo's, but piercings are another kettle of fish.
Though I don't form opinions of people who have them based on just that, I would never get one, and I find them very unattractive.

Do you think that people who have them should immediately be looked down upon because of it?
It depends on the situation and the degree. When someone is covered in Nazi swastika's or has a shitload of gang tattoos, I think it's wrong. On the much lighter end of the spectrum, I think when people have tribute to stupidity tattoos from getting drunk, (like turds, dolphins or Chinese characters reading 'Palm Tree') I do judge them as being someone who can't take care of themselves.

Why do you think people should/should not have them?
I think people shouldn't get mouth or lip piercings because they're actually REALLY bad for your teeth, they scrape away an enamel and people tend to form habits where they chew on them, which can damage the teeth in a way that you really can't fix half the time.
Piercings in the SPECIAL areas can also cause nerve damage.
However, it's not my body, so it's not my call, nor is it my business, so at the end of the day I only speak for myself.

In the work force, should a tattoo or a piercing be the deciding factor in whether or not they get a job?
Again, it depends on the piercings or tattoos.
Where I live, you can't legally fire someone for having body art or piercings, even extreme styles like punk or goth are permitted if the worker does their job and is professional.
However, when someone has permanent tributes to hate marked on their bodies, or sexually explicit imagery depicted where just anyone can see them, I don't think it's an appropriate person to hire.

I went to an art school, where everyone and their dog had faces full of metal and lots of tattoos. I was, ironically, a rarity in that I didn't alter my appearance in any way. There was a big culture there among people who got piercings and tattoos to 'express their individuality', but in reality they just wanted to be cool and fit in with their friends.
Metal never appealed to me personally, but I have seen a number of beautiful tattoos, and I can respect it as an art form, provided it's not some dumb white girl wanting 'Freedom' in Chinese, but she gets 'Apple' instead.

Do you have a tattoo/piercing?:
No tattoos as of yet, but I plan on getting a pineapple tattoo with my best friend on my forearm. :)

If not, Are you against them in any way?
Depends. Face tattoos are crazy, but I also have mad respect for those people who can do them and not have any regrets about it.

Do you think that people who have them should immediately be looked down upon because of it?
No. 1. That's rude. 2. Lmao they paid money for it so let them be happy. If they like something enough to put it on their body permanently then nobody should be rude about it because it just makes them hate their decision, which should never happen.

Why do you think people should/should not have them?
I think everyone should have at least one tattoo because it kind of shows a willingness to show who you are. Plus it's a great conversation piece if you get it done in a place that's able to be seen.

In the work force, should a tattoo or a piercing be the deciding factor in whether or not they get a job?
NO. What the heck? Why fire/hire someone based on a tattoo or piercing? Now, I understand that in an office setting they should probably take out the piercing or try to cover up the tattoo depending on what it is or where it's placed, but it shouldn't be the decided factor in a person's character or qualifications for a job. That's messed up.

Do you have a tattoo/piercing?:I do not
If not, Are you against them in any way?Not at all!
Do you think that people who have them should immediately be looked down upon because of it?Definitely not, they should do what they want really, it's their own body.
Why do you think people should/should not have them?
In the work force, should a tattoo or a piercing be the deciding factor in whether or not they get a job?No, its just art. If I love orca, and I do, and I want to get an orca tattoo because I like it, I shouldn't be turned away for wanting to have some art on me. It is the person under the ink, not the ink.

Do you have a tattoo/piercing?:
Pierced ears

If not, Are you against them in any way?

Do you think that people who have them should immediately be looked down upon because of it?
Nope, it's a personal choice that wont affect your life at all so why should you care?

Why do you think people should/should not have them?
I don't think they are usually appropriate in certain settings. For example, face tattoos and piercings do not look professional and piercings should be taken out before interviews/work. Any other bodily tattoos should be covered up in these situations as well. That's just my opinion, and many people would agree. It's more of a dress code thing I believe, just as some employers prefer their employees not have neon colored hair.

In the work force, should a tattoo or a piercing be the deciding factor in whether or not they get a job?
it should not be a deciding factor, though it can certainly carry weight. If you're interviewing for a customer service position and have numerous, visible or offensive tattoos, it can come across as unprofessional to potential employers. I have previously worked at a fast food place where "natural" hair color and taking out face piercings were required.
