What gender do you recognize as/what pronouns do you use?
I myself am comfortable with identifying as nonbinary, and don't feel the need to specify further. I don't have a huge pronoun preference, however I do slightly prefer they/them pronouns over she/her and he/him pronouns.

How do you feel about non-binary genders?
Well, considering that I myself am nonbinary, my feelings towards them are only positive.

Do you thing gender neutrality when not talking about specific individuals is important?
It depends on the setting and location. In countries/places where nonbinary genders aren't really a thing at all, I would not expect anyone to commonly use neutral pronouns. In more accepting places, though, I feel that it's important to recognize the fact that assuming a pronoun for someone could easily be wrong and even make them uncomfortable. And using neutral pronouns (if we don't know their preferred ones) would be ideal.

I may be dwelling from the subject a little bit but I have been wondering about pronouns lately. When people say they have a preference in English, what about languages that have pronouns and/or nouns with no gender?

What about languages that just don't have a singular they? (I'm referring to Russian, but I didn't know 'they' in English could be singular until recently, so if it's the same with Russian, do let me know x'D )
For example if you're living somewhere in the US where you only use one language, so it's not something to worry about-- what if you start living in another country and need to learn another language, only to discover that its grammar and structure greatly differs from English, to the point where you can't simply say that you go by he or she or they pronouns to the people living there?

I would like to hear what you guys* think about this.

*Guys in the gender-neutral sense of the word, as in everyone.

What gender do you recognize as/what pronouns do you use? I identify as agender and use the pronouns "they/their/them"

How do you feel about non-binary genders?
I don't have any opinion on them. They are human beings just like everyone else... except those who hate on genders (hopefully that wasn't that confusing)
Do you thing gender neutrality when not talking about specific individuals is important? Yes. I honestly think that when people say "guys" or "gals" or other gender-grouping things to a group, it can be hurtful and make people seem like their being excluded and/or shamed. Just please keep this in mind

(Feel free to add any other comments you have!) I'm quite supportive of the LGBTQ+ community as I am very involved there. It's quite lovely for us in my area and if anyone want's to talk, please don't hesitate to talk to me :)

What gender do you recognize as/what pronouns do you use?
Gender is a slippery thing for me. I'm not sure what genders I identify as beyond the fact I'm not male or female. So, I tend to use they/them/their.

How do you feel about non-binary genders?
I'm definitely okay with however anyone identifies. I try to be as open-minded as possible.

Do you thing gender neutrality when not talking about specific individuals is important?
Yes! Oh man. If I had to count the number of times I've gotten annoyed at forms switching between he or she when referring to nonspecific people, or just using the masculine, I'd be counting for weeks. I love using gender-neutral pronouns whenever I can.

Thank you for making this topic. It's an amazing one.

What gender do you recognize as/what pronouns do you use?

I identify as cisgender female and I use she/her pronouns, but I have had periods of my life where I have had short hair and been mistaken for a young boy- this did not bother me because I am not often misgendered and it usually comes from children (ie. "why do you have boy hair if you are a girl?" which is a different discussion,) and I don't mind being referred to as they/them, because I think that the use of they/them in the singular is an important step to giving people who do not identify with she or he a pronoun that is widely used and accepted.

How do you feel about non-binary genders?

Like, that's cool. I don't want anyone telling me what gender they think I ought to be, and I feel like someone else's gender and whether or not it matches the sex they were assigned at birth or "female" or "male" really matters to me at all, because it has no bearing on my life. I DO think that sharing my own pronouns with new people is important because it tells them that I feel like people should get to choose their own pronouns, and because I know that my genderfluid/nonbinary/genderqueer friends have problems with people misgendering them.

Do you thing gender neutrality when not talking about specific individuals is important?

YESSSSS ugh I mean, usually we see something like "he," which drives me crazy because of the patriarchy, and I feel like there's a movement towards "he or she," which is heteronormative (is that the word?) WHY NOT JUST USE THEY? Like, it seems so easy, it isn't discriminatory, and it includes everyone, inside the binary and out.

What gender do you recognize as/what pronouns do you use?

Like one of the first commenters, I'm unsure if I am bigender or genderfluid (though I just tend to stick with bigender to make things easier and less complicated.) They, he/him, she/her - I've been told sorry for being called he in the past and I just shrug and say whatever. I look more boyish as well in the face, so I've been called sir by customers in the past to which I brush it off as no big deal.

How do you feel about non-binary genders?

It's none of my business what one identifies as. Growing up, I don't think I ever thought differently, which is funny because there are many sensitive topics that I didn't agree with before in the past that I agree with today. A person is a person and should be treated as such regardless of who they are. They deserve respect just as much as anyone else would.

Do you thing gender neutrality when not talking about specific individuals is important?

If you are unsure of someone, the safest route to go is using "they" until you are sure. Find out but don't press it. Ask a friend if anything, because they will typically know. If you do know what they prefer, just call them it. It isn't going to kill you to be a decent human nor will it cause you to become the opposite gender, transgender, gay, what have you. You will continue to be the EXACT same person by showing respect and proper pronoun use. It is important because that is a person and they need to be treated as such.

To get things rolling, here are some questions:

What gender do you recognize as/what pronouns do you use?

How do you feel about non-binary genders?

Do you thing gender neutrality when not talking about specific individuals is important?

(Feel free to add any other comments you have!)
I am Female.

I feel like non-binary genders are just a fad and will soon blow over. I really only believe there is male and female. You are either one or the other. If you are transgender and have moved from being male to female or vise versa than you are still either male or female. I don't believe there are gender fluid options. If you are a male that dresses like a female than you are technically still a male down there and vise versa. I don't think you can just wake up one morning and say you feel female for that day or say you feel male the next. I guess it just doesn't make any sense to me?

But do not get me wrong, if you feel like you need to be gender fluid or trans or whatever you choose that is YOUR choice and your choice only, Do NOT let others put you down or make you change who you want to be. Yes, I may not understand the whole non-binary thing but I will still accept you for who you want to be...although I do have to put in here that those of you who refer to themselves as they/them...I probably won't ever remember that so don't get mad at us for accidentally calling you he or she. Most people are used to the regular terms like he/she, hers/his and so on and so fourth.
Help me hatch and grow my babies, please?
