I love instrumental music, though I do like a few songs/bands with lyrics. To me, the real thing is the music, not the words - if I'm listening to music with words, I usually just drown out the words in my mind and listen to the instruments. It's hard to explain why I like the instruments... the best way I can explain it is that lyrics makes you think, but with instruments you just go with the flow and let the music move you. It's something I may understand better as an artist, but maybe you get what I mean too. Anyways, I like most instrumental music, from rock to classical. Here's some of my choice songs:

Instrumental:
Glen Bledsoe / Octopants (Yeah, you probably at this point are thinking I'm insane xD)
Immediate Music
Tron Legacy Soundtrack
Trans-Siberian Orchestra
Prince Caspian Soundtrack
X-Ray Dog
Cliffs of Dover

Lyrics:
<3 Globus (Okay, I don't like music with lyrics so much, but... they're amazing. ^^)
30 Seconds to Mars
Through the Fire and Flames

This is my current favorite:

I'm into a lot of different types of music. I was raised on country music, so Keith Urban, Kenny Chesney, and songs like strawberry wine and the house that built me are always going to be what I'm drawn to when I get tired of the mainstream music. I can sing along to a TON of different songs of all types...I started listening to hip hop and pop and stuff like that only the middle of last year, and at first I couldn't STAND it, but now I like it a lot. (Well, not the severely autotuned, remixed to death songs...) I also like rock. I like Ozzy Osbourne, and some metal (don't know the band names of metal, often I like the song, but to me they sound the same sometimes) I like David Bowie and music from Cats (the Broadway Cats), MCR...
I like a lot of different songs, and as for lyrics, I like Stay by Miley Cyrus, and anything MCR, like Black Parade or Famous Last Words.

Music is pretty much my life, haha.

Well then.

I like anything that sounds good to me. If I like a song, it's in my list of "good music to listen to". I will tell you, however, that I've never liked rock/rap/anything similar. I love classical-- you know, like Beethoven, Bach... even Chopin. I have occasionally liked some J-pop things, but they're usually songs that are quiet and melancholy, and don't get on the nerves. It's actually kinda rare that I like J-pop though, I'll admit that.

I particularly like Beethoven's pieces. I've known about some of these artists my whole life, because my parents love to listen to classical as well. I never got into classical myself (I liked some songs, but for the most part I liked the soft pop-ish songs). Now that I'm in my early teens, I've found myself loving classical. Maybe it's because I started playing the piano, I dunno. I've just learned Beethoven's Fur Elise (there are two dots above the "u" that I'm too lazy to put there) and I'm going to learn Moonlight Sonata soon enough.

If you have no faint idea what I'm speaking of, then... oh well. :derp:

I really dislike things like rock/rap/modern-y music. Not all modern-style music I've heard is annoying, but it's safe to say that I dislike the vast majority of it. Sorry! :c I have very, very sensitive ears. My hearing is pretty good, but in return for that, I can't stand things that are too loud, repetitive, screechy, etc. It literally gives me a headache and makes my ears feel like they'll explode. I strongly dislike the sound of a rock guitar, because it just hurts my head, and rap is far too monotone for me. It hurts my head too. And I'm not saying this to be rude-- if you like that kind of music, go ahead and keep liking it! :3 It's your taste after all, but I'm not joking or lying when I say my ears are overly sensitive.

Anyway, so yes, I like classical; especially classical piano music. I'm not the best piano player yet, but I do love the songs I play.

I guess that's it. :yarly:

Having heard/read a little more about dubstep, I've become rather interested in it. Apparently it's ideally supposed to be listened to with a really good system, allowing you to feel the base instead of merely hearing it - it's supposed to be an experience. It's always neat when people try to incorporate more than one sense into their music. Unfortunately, I don't want to end up rocking the house too hard, nor do I feel like going to a concert, so the chances of me really experiencing what it should be like is nil.

I've got pretty mixed tastes. I was raised on country music and classic rock, so I love that, and I also love folk music. Techno, trance, and such are also some of my favorites. Some of my favorite groups/artists include Celtic Woman, Trans-Siberian Orchestra and Lindsey Stirling.

I will honestly listen to anything. And I am not joking.

My iPod consists of many genres. If you put it on shuffle, it's quite shocking.

I listen to Death Metal, Country, Techno, Jazz, Classical, Pop, Rock, 80's music...

The only popular artists I listen to are Avril Lavigne, Taylor Swift and Simple Plan.

Although, I do listen to Mandy Moore, Vitamin C and a few others. But most of them are not heard of.

Currently, I'm listening to a lot of Video Game Soundtrack music. Assassin's Creed (all four out currently) have amazing soundtracks. I also adore most Anime music! Whether it's in English or not. I'll never get sick of Disney Songs either.

My main artists I'm listening to at the moment are Nightwish, and Iced Earth. You could throw in some Offspring, too!

Lyrics are not important to me. I love hearing songs with words but there are some songs that are absolutely breathtaking and don't need words. Whether a song has lyrics or not, I believe each and every song tells a story. You just need to listen, and I often use this as an inspiration to write my stories and to get me through tough times.

The genres of music I listen to most would have to be Pop, Rock, and Techno. I find them most catchy and enjoyable. Rap, is also one I listen to, but it's not a genre I would go crazy over. I honestly don't really care about the genres but those are the ones I listen to most. I listen to a lot of songs by, Parachute (Pop), Before Their Eyes (Rock), Finger Eleven (Rock), Hot Chelle Rae (Pop/Rock I think), Cher Lloyd (Pop), Once Direction (Pop), Skrillex (Techno), Deadmau5 (Techno), Evanescence (Rock). There's a lot more, I just can't think right now.

  • For real, anything that shows up. For an example I listen mostly to rock, hardrock, metal, electronic-rock,.. but also Dubstep, deathcore, Techno, Dance, anything. I am not a huge fan of R&B and Rap but there are some good songs out there. I lisen litterally to anything. 80's, 70's, alongside with pop and blues. My music tastes contains alost everything, except country xD
    Though, Breaking Benjamin is my favourite band, Skrillex is awesome, Rammstein as well- when I put my iPod on shuffle, sometimes you don't know what you hear after rock or dance c;

I don't like anything loud or with electric guitars and that kind of thing. I like listening to classical music and jazz, but if there are no lyrics to a song, I usually tune out and think about something else; the music becomes part of the background. The same thing is with songs with lyrics; if there's something going on that I find more interesting, I'll pay attention to that and lose track of the music.

I like most music, but especially country. I love the lyrics and the meaning that most country songs carry with them. whatever mood I am in, I can always find a country song to match it, and to me that is important.
