I also have a really hard time swallowing pills. I'm not afraid of choking, I just gag really easily.
Random tips that may help-make chewing motions with your mouth without actually breaking up the pill. That may condition you to swallow more easily. Another thing I've tried is shooting the pill really far down my throat before drinking so it doesn't touch the center of my tongue (hold the edge of the pill between two fingers in front of your mouth and squeeze. It will shoot pretty far).
Also, with certain pills that tend to be huge (like antibiotics) chewing them or breaking them up beforehand is an option.
I've also heard that tugging on your ear while swallowing a pill suppresses the gag reflex, but it doesn't really work for me.
The big thing about swallowing pills is getting past the anxiety. If you aren't afraid of gagging/choking, it becomes much easier. Also, practicing with other things (like ice, which will melt over time if you find you can't do it the first few times) will help.

I get it to float down to my throat that way. Or I just chunk it in there and then drink, but that usually gags me.. -__-

I hate math...it just makes no sense whatsoever and no matter how many times fractions or decimals are explained to me i just sit there looking like this:
Fractions i do get mostly but the worst is algebra. Find the X....I get adding, subtraction and other basic stuff but add in decimals, fractions x's and a's and i have a brain fail.
Ill try it
