Re: The "It may be common sense for some, but..." thread
Apparently I've been screwing up the punctuation in my dialogue tags for years. It's "blah blah," he said, not "blah blah." He said.
At least I know it now, but you'd think I would have picked up the proper way to do it from all my reading. These little details just totally escape me sometimes. It makes any design I do really hard, because I just won't notice if the lines don't look sharp enough or the alignment is crooked.

If anyone has problems with Algebra, you can ask me- I love teaching it. Algebra makes me happy. xD
I can't win an argument. Ever. Even against the quiet people. I tried taking debate once to help with it, but it didn't work and I ended up failing my partner and spending a considerable time in the bathroom and wandering alone by myself. I always give up so early, because I run out backup points. How do people come up with something to undermine your statements and leave you speechless in one blow? How does it work?

I can't do math either, no matter how much I try. The thing is.. I want to understand what and why I'm doing certain things or else I feel it's confusing. Besides, I had lots of trouble in my early ages with school, not math. And I think that part was the most important part to understand it all. I've tried to learn some more math but my mind keeps blocking it because I just cant understand or read it.. :I
Overall, I have no difficulties to learn anything except math because of bad memories.. Though I think that if go back to where I stopped I think I could learn math.. Because if I want something done I can do it pretty easily, like learn how to ride a bike! I tried one day and I was scared. My mom helped me and I just couldnt do it.. We stopped. The next day I said to myself "I WANT to ride a bike!" so I went out by myself and started riding just like that! >:3 I'm so stubborn sometimes!

I am awful at maths as well.
It's partially because I tend to overcomplicate stuff such as saying 'so if i multiply this and then divide it by the common denominator, that's how I get the answer!'
...When really it's more like I just need to add two numbers together.
I can't cook either, only super simple things like mac and cheese from a bag, or cereal. I can't do common household chores either, like ironing or doing the washing.
I'm also awful at social situations in real life, but that might not count. I tend to often not know what to say, I don't know how to start conversations, I don't know how to keep someone engaged in one when there is a topic... I'm just really bad at it.

"It may be common sense for some, but.."
WHY in the world would you wake a sick person up to eat???? Seriously..wait until the person wakes up on their own to eat. That is something that apparently, as much as I love my husband, he just can't seem to get through his head. My thought is this "Do you REALLY want to see me face down in a bowl of chicken soup?" "Is it really that amusing to watch me falling asleep trying to eat some toast?"
That's just my common sense thing for today, I just don't get it.

Well, when you're sick is a nice idea to eat, but sleep is important too. However, there IS a condition in which people sleep endlessly for days on end, which is when you need to force them (I forget the name; it was on an episode of Mystery Diagnosis).

Shenzi..it would be different if I had not already told him, quite a few times actually, that if I'm asleep, so long as I'm still breathing pretty good..Don't wake me just to eat. I think I saw the MD episode your talking about..I love them kinds of shows. But you would think after a few times of getting the evil eye and being told afterward not to wake me when sick, he would get it. But I see what your saying, but there's not a fat chance in Hades I'd be LUCKY enough to get that, hell then I might ACTUALLY feel rested for a change.LOLShenziSixaxis wrote:Well, when you're sick is a nice idea to eat, but sleep is important too. Along similar lines...what on EARTH possesses someone to come in with a greasy sandwich (or any other food) yelling, "Smell this, wanna bite?" after you've told them you're nauseated and don't want anything to eat.
