I lose things, all the time. Everything. It's become so that I honestly dread getting nice and expensive things from others, because the minute I get it, I'm afraid I'll set it down, and it'll be gone. Poof.

In keeping with the loosing things, I also constantly forget things. Always. And it's awful, because when I remember what I forgot, there's always this sinking sense of panic.

I've got memory worse than Dory from finding Nemo. Like, I can say something and POOF! the next second it's gone. Same with remembering to do/bring xx thing. Sure, sometimes I remember, but I'm likely to just forget it if I don't constantly remind myself/write it down.
I also can't whistle. The only thing even coming remotely close is a thin "howling" between my tongue and teeth. It used to bother me, but I've gotten over it now. Mostly.

I can't whistle either, well I can, but only by inhaling not exhaling, so when I choose to whistle and try to make note variation(s) my whistle gets weaker and never on key, but I can whistle in one note.XD It bothers me still that I can't whistle like others.

When it comes to the topic, I just can not get over how it does not seem to be common sense to teach children manners. I mean, I knew how to say excuse me, sorry, thank you, and please by the time I was four or five. I actually had an eight year old child shove me off balance the other day, I looked at the mother and asked very nicely, "Does he know how to say excuse me or sorry? That could have been very dangerous if I hadn't caught myself." The woman looked at me and said, "He's only eight years old, he doesn't know that yet."
O_O
I almost lost it.

Thats when I politely expressed that manners were something I knew by the age of five, and once I observed she had three other kids running around in the same fashion, AND she was pregnant, as I walked past her and out of the store I said "Well lets hope you test the theory if teaching manners to the newest addition, earlier, matters."

Manners, common sense? I should hope so...

I can't find my way around. I am told to do something somewhere and I get lost, even though I tell them I know where it is. Then I get to embarrassed to ask them where it is.
I have been diagnosed with lung cancer.

I can't properly pronounce "vegetable" or "comfortable." I'm not sure what it is exactly that messes me up on those two words, but if I can avoid saying them, I do. Luckily, they aren't over-used words. >.<

Eh, I know precisely what you mean. I come by that trait very honestly, though: just today, my mom had no idea where she set down her drink and we had to practically retrace her steps to find it. That is one of the lesser offenses, but it gets that way with a lot of my stuff.

Okay, this is going to sound really stupid, but...

When I go shopping at a grocery store, I usually use a basket because I don't have a whole lot of things that I need to buy. When I check out, though, I'm not really sure what to do with the basket... do I hand it to the cashier if there's nobody to bag the food? Do I hand it to the bagger if there is one? Or do I just put it on the floor beside me and then put it back as I'm leaving?

Like seriously, do the baggers take the basket from you, or are you supposed to put it away yourself? :/ And if there's no bagger, do you give it to the cashier or what?

Maybe I should just save myself some trouble and take a cart.

I think the baskets usually go in a spot underneath the conveyor belt; maybe you should ask the store employees?

And, honestly, that doesn't sound stupid at all.

Look both ways before crossing the street.

I don't. I just walk.

I figure if I'm in the crosswalk (which I am 98% of the time) and someone hits me, the insurance money will cover my schooling. Therefore, I maintain that it is not a lack of common sense but just a twist of logic and a desire to manipulate the world around me.

Yes. I'm strange.
The sun is filled with shining light, it blazes far and wide.
The moon reflects the sunlight back, but has no light inside.
I think I'd rather be the sun, that shines so bold and bright.
Than be the moon that only glows with someone elses light.

I don't know what to call it, whether it's just my introverted personality or some form of social anxiety but I hate having to go talk to people.
Let me explain, I like talking to people and if it's something I'm interested in/know a lot about I'll be very chatty about it(though I always worry I'll end up sounding like a know-it-all), or if I'm with my friends. But, if I have to phone someone I don't know(like call the doctor/hair dresser for an appointment) or approach someone I don't know (like asking someone in a store where something is) I can't do it. I can not will myself to talk to them first. If they phone me/talk to me first fine, I have no problems at all. But I just can't be the one to talk first.
However, if I can contact them via email/schedule things online or anything else like that, I have no problems. I'm so chatty online you wouldn't believe how quiet I am in real life.
I don't know why I'm like this and I hate it.
