Due to circumstance, I currently only have two pets. Usually I'd have a dog (or even a horse if I had the land) and my wife would have a cat, but right now we've got two budgies. A female and male, named Puff and Doot respectively.

Here's a pic! (blue = Puff, green = Doot)

Previously the male's name was Artoo (even though he's the green one), but we changed it to Doot promptly after our two year old son came for a visit, saw the bird, pointed at him and exclaimed "DOOT!!!"

Puff is much younger than Doot, she hasn't even gone through her first molt yet. Her full name is Cream Puff, which we've given her for being so darn sweet. Doot's kind of a jerk, but they've become a pair despite their drastic differences in personality.

They're both still pretty new to our family, thus they aren't fully socialized yet, but they're getting there! They'll sit on our hands as long as we keep them in the cage, and eat from our hands as well.

Aw I love guinea pigs and hamsters. Not sure if I ever made it fully known on here, but I have a new hamster named Ben. He is a little puff ball with a reddish-pink nose that looks like a berry...I call him Berrynose every so often.

Officially stole my grandma's dog, but I think of it as being a promise fulfilled. They said I could get a puppy, although Samson is a two-year old (maybe three by now...the rescue didn't know when he was born, but he is confirmed to be a young dog), and I got one. For being older than Harvey, he sure is smaller. But he can hold his own against the bigger Chihuahua.

And we also have a Budgie now...our second one in a long, long time.
The Wishlist in my profile is outdated (I can't quite figure out how to edit it now, so many of the creatures there have already been obtained).

Gift ideas: Really am looking for a Varja Crystalwing for future breeding of pygmies and Gemdragons.

I have pet mice -- seven of them -- and I really love them a lot???? But most people get all grossed out over them, and that kind of sucks. They're a bit dumb, but loving, and they like to be picked up so they can check out what I'm doing. A couple of them nap on my shoulder sometimes. They share this huge terrarium that I found with a mesh lid. It's got a two-story house, a wheel (sometimes two), a straw hut, a straw rolling ball, a seed log, a tower, and a ladder to climb. I'd share a picture, but they don't like to stay put and I need to clean their wheel off. Why they eat halfway up their wheel and seem content to run with the crumbs I will NEVER KNOW.

Anyways, since nobody ever really wants to hear about them in person, a general description of my little lovelies:

~ Neo: feeder mouse. 1 year old. Sick right now but super sweet and friendly. She favors the first floor of the house.
~ Tracer: the biggest, fattest mouse. Orange-gold. Eight months old. A little skittish, but cuddly. She likes the toilet paper rolls I put in there occasionally. So named because she was smaller than my thumb and quicksilver fast when we first took her home. She has a gimp leg now, poor thing, but still gets around pretty quick.
~ Midna: the baby. Brindle with a white stripe. 6 months. She's smaller than the others but doesn't give them the chance to push her around. She was a surprise adoption from a coworker who didn't want her anymore because his girlfriend doesn't like mice. Has a habit of reaching for me and clinging to my finger when pulling her out of the terrarium.
~ Abbadon: solid black fancy mouse. Another surprise adoption from the vet we go to. She's over a year old, but we're not sure exactly how much older. A couple months, maybe. Abby is standoffish and skitters away from human hands, but curls up at the bottom of the mouse pile when they sleep.
~ Triss: Actually TRSS. Midna's sister. We had Midna's name pegged pretty much straight away when we first got them, but the little silver-grey mouse was a harder pick. Later my SO suggested "Triss" as a name, as per his friend. Three months later he told me it means "the real Slim Shady". Thanks for that, N. Triss likes to burrow under the wheel.
~ Toasted Marshmallow Snowflake: Because I can never decide between Toast, Marshmallow, or Snowflake. Eight months. She was a pale grey with a darker nose and ears when she was young. Toast's fur has darkened considerably since, but she still has that dark strip of fur around her neck that looks like a scarf. She likes to chill near the top of the ladder.
~ Bea: Previously Beatrice before Triss came. Eight months old. Chincilla grey, y'know, like two-toned? She's pretty sizable and quick, but not quite as big as Tracer. When Tracer was injured, she brought our goldie food. Still sort of standoffish, but once we've got her she's happy to play. She naps on my shoulder sometimes. Her favourite spot is on the second floor of the house, but she usually sleeps in the hut with her best friend (guess who).

...I've talked too much already. It's just nice to ramble about them somewhere, y'know?

Both are such sweethearts... sometimes Ves can have a snappy attitude tho, I'm thinking it's cuz her rats were too small for her, and I recently upped her rat size, so she should be a lil better. XD They're so cute.

I don't actively do it all the time, so mostly simple things like "come", "spin", "fetch", and so on. I could probably do a lot more, but they're my friends and family members first, and tiny performers second, especially with my schedule. There's a YouTube channel called MouseAgility that shows some of these off.

I'm so jealous of the noodles!

I have a couple:
- Pearl/Opal the betta. Originally named for the Steven Universe character, although my mom didn't really get it. She lives with me at school, and is very fierce, although she's been mopey lately. I've had her for about two years, so I really hope it's not old age...
- Wormy Dude, a kuli loach my family bought without realizing they were social :t-sweat: He lives with a little coryadoras catfish in a like 10 gallon tank. We keep thinking he's dead because he'll go into hiding for a month, and then someone comes down in the middle of the night and there he is, wiggling up and down the tank walls like usual... what a cutie.
- Approximately 2 guppy colonies. I've been breeding them since I was little, and now the females all have colored fins and are like 3-4 times the size of the males. Uh.... evolution???
- I'm a biology lab student, and I currently have 5 axolotl. Their names are Baby, Wiggles, Mudpuppy, Bold, and GeoFfrey Patterson. (The first two are white, the second two are wild-type speckled brown, and Geoffrey is a green florescent protein GMO.) They're dumb, but adorable. I'm not really supposed to call them pets, but at least one of them is coming home with me at the end of the semester!
- I also have a ton of Xenopus tadpoles, but our lab has had bad luck getting them to adulthood :( Poor lil beans...

We are not quite an animal house, but we have two dogs (both Chihuahuas), a fluffy teddy bear hamster named Ben, and a parakeet who has no actual name. We kind of call him everything, in the end I just call him birdy. He does have one curious quirk.

For some reason he goes to the bottom of his cage, and uses his head and beak to shake his food bowl. It's one of those that attach to the side of the cage (with small doors to slid it in and out). At first we thought that maybe he wasn't liking the food in it, but now we think he just does it because he is bored/wants attention.

Quite a nice little bird he is :) .

The day before I got kissed on the cheek by a German Shepherd owned by one of my co-workers. I love those dogs, but they are kind of big.

Edit: Earlier today Samson got out of our yard again. The good news, he came back when I called him.

Well...we are down one bird now. And we still don't know what happened. One moment he is sitting in his cage doing his normal stuff, the next my mom heard a thump and...he went downhill fast. We think he hurt his wing or foot...or something. My grandma took it hard as he was her pet.
