Not to try to be a buzzkill here, but I find the idea of one of the OCs being such a crucial link to the chimeras a tiny bit weird? I'm not against it, but it adds a ton of complication to the good mages find bad mages and try to reform them story.

I like the idea of connections between the good magi and the bad. Lachesis and Verdandi are connected (?), and Tyrone (and to some degree Lorelei) are connected to Miltiades... but then, I like fictional drama.

Hm hm, I do see kestrad's point. Especially since, if the magic to make karzarill a chimera was readily available, then Lucifer would've gotten his hands on it a long time ago. And our simple reform narrative is part of the charm of the original Shifting Ideals...

If we wanted to have a connection to Lucifer with Karzarill, they could've met in passing? Lucifer asking a few questions, and not getting much in the way of answers, leaves again. Karzarill doesn't remember him until they meet face to face in the course of Shifting Ideals. What do y'all think?

Yeah is probably more realistic even if the magic that made Karzar'ill what he is now was not intentional but because it grew out of control and nearly killed him (I should really write that story down someday). Is not like they can't have a connection is just not as deep Foleo's idea for Lucifer poking questions a few questions at Karz works too.
