That's cool, but I don't know anything about it other than it's about pirates. So, what's the plot? Why are they pirates? Are they just bad, or maybe they need to do it for a living? Are they sky pirates, maybe? Is this in a post-apocalyptic world, current-day, or another world entirely? Do they have any powers or special abilities?

I was still working on it when I posted that but I got it now

It is set in a steampunk futureistic setting,
Civilavation is Beginning to reform, after the ocean levels unexpectedly rose covering most of the earths surface, now it is made up of large scatters of islands. For most the water has become a problem. A pirate ship's Captian has decided to begin making a crew in hopes of giving them a chance at a new life, most of the pirates on the ship were poor and dying with no way out and no way to hope for a new and better life.

So this is brief and probabaly doesn't make a whole lot of sense because I am really summarizing it >.>

Because this is a futuristic rp the ship can both fly and sail ((Think star dust, Captian Shakespeare's ship))
This is post apocalyptic as the world has flooded((Still trying to think of why )) an it is in the future but because coloration Is just recovering there are some places more like villages and others more futureistic so it seems like a mix of past and future.
I do not think they will have special powers or abilities.

Water levels could rise because of global warming and melting polar ice caps. Just a thought. And maybe the remaining islands are desert-like?

So, the people who aren't pirates, how do they make a living? Do they just farm the land? And are there any aristocrats?

They make a living by farming, carpentry, working in market places((they are normally like out door markets, similair to a giant farmers market)) there is a few aristocratic people they are normally people who own market places(( people have to pay taxes and fees to set up their own booth or shops and they normally have to pay a certain amount of money each day to keep it running.)) or doctors because those are in short supply.

Do they know about the civilization before? Maybe there are archeologists seeking out the remains of the mystical civilization that fell when the seas rose. Perhaps some kind of Atlantis reference could be incorporated?

Ehem...So...I was going to make an RP based off of a book-series, it would be something like one of the books, but the issue would be different...anyway, In Discworld you can be anything from a wizard to a troll(they're literally made of rock...), and...well, I figured the variety would be good, as well as the issue...I just haven't done anything with it aside from plan it...especially it would heavily involve two favorite canon characters...

Perhaps having canon characters stay in the background would be best, or recruiting people you trust to play them. Even if you're a good rper and don't monopolize the awesome, people still might be upset if you rp canon characters.

Atlantis probably could be mentioned Yes some people are trying to discover what it was like before the water rose so archeologist would be present.

The two I'm thinking of would have to be background characters...I mean, the ruler of the city and the Commander of the city Watch. Especially the ruler though, he's a background sort of guy...I meant that it would,a t the beginning, involve them. International crime tends to put both characters...well, tends to make them both angry. So they'd be involved with the setting up and running of the new force to protect the city, as well as regulating what it did and it's powers.
Anyway, the basic idea is that there's an international crime spree going on in the city-states that make up the continent. So Vetinari (ruler) and Vimes (big cop guy) decide to set up a special force of people from all over the Disc and every race to try and...well, stop it. You can only have so much unregulated crime in the largest city on the Disc (and Vimes is working on that too...). Anyway, so we'd all be characters that are being sent to try and find out who these people are, and try to either arrest them or, kill them. Preferably the former if we can manage it. Vetinari and Vimes will have a few people from their own special places that report to the pair of them (A Dark Clerk for Vetinari, a Watchman for Vimes) and that sort of thing. Kind of a spy thing, but at the same time, undercover cops.
Anyway, the thing with them was that they'd have a good number of very short scenes in there in it, when they receive letters, send letters with information found at home, that sort of thing. Oh yes, and whenever we brought someone back, the debriefing and such.
It's actually more complicated in my head, but that's as basic as I can make it...
