May I request the name CDR Patrick Dunn, USN?

That's.. wow. 9/11 was actually pretty.. affecting to me. Few of my family members.. no close, but... and my friend's dad got lucky because he decided not to go to work that day. Sick. T_T But I feel sad at everything. It's an awesome idea to dedicate one to it. Nice.

I would like to request one, please. I would like to have a male, if possible, named LTC Robert M Rubin, USAF. (I know the name is long, so LTC Rubin USAF would be fine). It's in honor of my father, who was, as you guessed, in the Air Force for 22-23 years, a college professor after he retired from the military, and fought against pancreatic cancer for a year before it took his life in 2002, 12 days after he turned 72 years old. My daughter has vague memories of him, as she turned 18 months old the day we buried my father. He wasn't the first person I lost in my life, but he was the closest, and his death still hits me hard, after almost 8 years.

I sat with him in the kitchen on the morning of 9/11/2001, watching the events of what happened. I swear, it was one of the few times I saw my father crying. The only other time I remember him crying was when my daughter was born. He was one of the few people I knew that believed in "God, Family and Country". I can't count the number of times he said he wouldn't help me, then did anyway. ~goes to wipe away tears again~

The intention of this lineage is to honor the fallen from 9/11, and then as you each raise and breed more from the lineage, for each individual to name the 2nd gens and so on after those that they have lost in their own lives, making the lineage that much more important, and special to the individual. This lineage is our way of continuing the memory in some way of those who were lost to us on 9/11, and as you breed their offspring, continuing the memory, and keeping alive in some way, those you have lost individually. Please only request names on the list, and then as you receive yours, raise them to adult, breed them, and keep the memories alive for everyone.

On a side note - I will also be breeding for the lineages as soon as I find a female that is an appropriate mate for my boy.

this is a lovely idea...But I have a question, why are the names of people on the planes not included? if I was to make a request, I would want mine named after a United Airlines Crew person, preferably a pilot, the reason being that my husband is a dispatcher with United and was on duty the day of the tragedy, his job has him working very closely with the pilots, as dispatchers create the flight plans, the 2 United planes used so horribly in this attack were both sent on their way by the same guy, a co-worker of my husband, see dispatchers are able to speak with their pilots during the entire flight, those in my husbands office knew of the tragedy before we did, as the ability to communicate with the plane was lost, I cannot even fathom what that must have been like for them, to know and not be able to do anything...

EDIT:
Thanks Jenn for clearing up the lists thing for me, I guess I scrolled to fast to see, so I would like to formally request one of the lineages and the name Victor J. Saracini, the Captain on UA175, thank you

The list is broken into sections, its just so massive its hard to see them all. (Also, Imp ran out of the allowed characters per post in her first post, so some details aren't on there, like to look for the sections you want a name from. As you guys can all see this is a big (massive) project, since so many were lost to us, bear with us as Imp and I iron out kinks, please <3

Sections (I suggest Control + F for anyone wanting to request a name from a particular section)

List of World Trade Center Victims (not including plane crews or passengers)
List of Victims on American Airlines Flight 11
List of Victims on United Airlines Flight 175
List of Victims at the Pentagon (Not Including Flight 77)
List of Victims on American Airlines Flight 77
List of Victims on United Airlines Flight 93

May I be added to the list, please?

My dad is a submariner, and on that day he was due to arrive in port with the sub. My mom and sister and I had just moved up here to Bremerton following his transfer to PSNS and he was going to be joining us there for the first time. I was decorating the car with my little sister- we were painting 'Welcome home Dad' on the van's windows- when Mom called us up with the news of what happened.

I remember being really excited that morning, both because my dad was coming home and because my class was going on a field trip that day. Then we heard and it was all different... kinda scary for a girl not quite eleven to think that something like this could happen.

So yes, I would love a member of the We Remember family.

Thanks for the gifts!
If you're gonna shorten my name, it's Doc Ock. Not DocOc.
I will buy any and all Albino Dire Wolves- any gender, stage, bred, inbred, named, whatever. Offering 2k per regular, 3k per purebred.
