So I hope this idea hasn't already been taken... I checked this forum and the community discussion forum...

*Ahem* What with the recent release of creating lineages, I was looking for through my keep looking for a suitable creature to start a lineage. Then I found a Telvian Panther named Raistlin.

So here's my idea. Create a number of lineages based on the main DragonLance characters. Users can propose a creature to represent one of the main characters and then they can make a lineage based off that character.

Here's a list of characters in case anyone wants to jump on the bandwagon with me:

1. Raistlin Majere
~Creator: fantasyfreak315
2. Caramon Majere/Tika Waylan (lineage name would be Majere-Waylan) (this lineage is gonna get complicated)
~Creator: none yet
3. Tanis Half-Elven (mate must be named Laurana, son must be named Gilthas)
~Creator: none yet
4. Flint Fireforge
~Creator: none yet
5. Kitiara Uth Matar and/or Sturm Brightblade (son must be named Steel)
~Creator: none yet
6. Tasslehoff Burrfoot
~Creator: none yet
7. Goldmoon and Riverwind
~Creator: none yet

General Rules:

- a creator of a certain family is responsible for determining the number of requests he/she will take and keeping track of those requests
- in the spirit of expanding these lineages, I would like offspring to be given away free for now. Please do not volunteer for a family if you don't want to give your offspring away

Sadly, you won't be able to repeat a lineage name, so if you'd wanted both Raistlin and Caramon to be Majeres you would have had to have started with their parents (or have Caramon be Raistlin's son or something weird like that.) But still, nice idea.

Oh darn, well that's gonna put a damper on my plans. I proposed a solution for that in my first post, but ultimately the Creator of Caramon's line would get the final say in the lineage name.
