When Gods Need Some Help (Kirorokat1132 x Rosemilly)

Postby rosemilly » June 25th, 2017, 11:50:56 pm

In a modern world where gods reign supreme, there are still beings that live under their rule, trying to please the gods through as many ways as possible. But when some of the gods need some help in their everyday lives, get lonely, or just want some entertainment, they look towards other services for help. These services, while they might not be practical, hold the servants that they are looking to suit these needs. The services may include: experiment labs where they may get a being engineered specifically for them, slave markets where they just take a being into their realm, or just people they find on the streets that suit their interests. No matter, most of these people handpicked by the gods will live in a realm of what would be considered paradise by the ones who still live an ordinary life, but not always are they so lucky, especially in times of war between certain gods.

As a god, you will pick someone to live with you in your realm for whatever purposes you desire. Your realm can look like whatever you want to, or you can just live in a realm with other gods. You also have the creativity to choose what you are the god of as long as it has not already been chosen, you don't pick too many things, and keep those things you are god of closely related, and your powers are limited to the things you are the god of. There are also powers that all gods have in common including auras and teleporting to areas within their realms. Auras are the essence of a god's power that can be manipulated to create shields and attacks, but not all auras are the same. Major gods will most likely have much stronger auras than the minor gods will. Gods are considered minor gods if they are the god of something small that does not have much influence on the world. If a god gets exhausted from using their power, then their aura won't be as strong, leaving the god more vulnerable than usual.

As a servant or experiment, you will be picked by a god. While you may or may not like the idea of living with a god, you will be taken to a realm in which the god lives. Some gods may cherish and protect you while others may have you work around the house. It really just depends on which god picks you.

Percival

"Quetz, I'm not sure if my master would look for me after what that woman did..," Percival mumbled softly, but he was loud enough that he almost knew for certain that the Quetzalcoatl could hear him. If that woman hadn't freed him, he would still be stuck in the sad and pitiful life of slavery, and even if he would never see her again, he was grateful that she was even willing to help him. "She said she put a curse on my master for treating someone like he did, and she seemed to have these strange magical abilities that I've never seen before. Is there any chance that you know who she is?" Even though Percival knew that it was very unlikely that the man would even know someone like that even if Quetz was a Quetzalcoatl himself, but he at least wanted to try just in case he would ever get the chance to properly thank her for saving him even though she was a bit mean.

Percival's head perked up with much interest when he heard Quetz's offer, looking up at Quetz with large, ice blue eyes. "You can?" He paused for a moment as he thought things through, wanting to take all his possibilities into consideration. Should he go with this person he just met even if he was nice, or should he just stay on the bench and possibly get kidnapped and sold into slavery again? It didn't take long for him to come up with his answer. "I think I'll go with you, Quetz." At Quetz was nice and honest with him, so what could possibly be the worst to happen?

The boy moved his legs away from his chest before standing up and stretching out his white wings as much as he could. He had never really been able to move his wings a lot which was probably due to the wings not actually supposed to be there in the first place, but on some days when his masters would be gone, he would try his hardest to stretch them out. Percival liked to think of these stretches as his own little physical therapy sessions even if they couldn't really be classified as such because at least these gave him some hope to use them some day.

"Are you ready to go?" Percival asked with a sleepy yet gentle smile on his face, going over to the other side of the bench towards Quetz before letting out a yawn. "The sooner we get going, the sooner we can go to sleep." He wasn't able to sleep the night before from the terror and guilt that he felt towards his master, but now he might be able to get a good night's sleep.

Azrael

It was time for Azrael to leave and go back to the realm of the gods. He had been living in the human world for almost a year, taking the time that he was away as a vacation from his godly duties. He was stuck doing this for eternity, right? So it's not like almost of year would really even matter much anyway. During this time, Azrael was taking care of some... personal matters that he didn't want most of the other gods to know about. He ended up getting a boyfriend who he is no longer with, renting his own apartment, and even getting a job along quite a few other things. The life of a human was much more intriguing than that of a job. Now he had to go back to make sure things were working smoothly even though he very much wanted to stay.

Azrael was currently at his ex-boyfriend's house to take care of some personal matters. "You'll take care of them while I'm gone, right?" he asked softly, a solemn expression on his usual bright and cheerful face. He wanted to do anything but leave them, but he knew that the other gods wouldn't approve of what he had done. "I'll come visit them whenever I can, but I can't make any promises on how soon that will be, Henry. This may seem easy for you, but it's so hard for me to just leave like this."

"I promise I will, Azzy, and I'm sure this is hard on them as well," a tall man about 5'11" in height said, rolling his chocolate brown eyes in annoyance. The man was the only other person in the room who was presumably Azrael's ex-boyfriend and Henry. Henry was quite sick of having to reassure Azrael over and over that everything would be fine. He was standing by the front door as he talked to the short god, looking quite average with dirty blonde hair and stubble gracing his tired face. "Now go before I change my mind."

Azrael left the house with a sigh, walking down the street in his regular clothes before walking into an alley. It was when he was in the dark end of the alley that he teleported to the realm of the gods, leaving behind a red aura as he vanished into thin air. His baby blue eyes where soon met with the sight of the realm of the gods, a large area separate from the human world where the gods met together on neutral grounds. It had a beige, Victorian-style castle that was ornamented with beautiful golden accents on things all over it, especially the front door that lead into the front hall. The thing that Azrael loved the most about this realm was the beautiful garden that surrounded the castle. It had a large variety of trees and flowers, and the garden even had a Victorian iron gazebo where he would spend his free time. With a little bit of Azrael's power, he changed his t-shirt, jeans, and tennis shoes to a dark purple, silk toga like that of ancient Rome but with intricate silver designs here and there, leaving his feet bare. Azrael walked down the stone path, going up to the door and walking in before making his way to the throne room. The throne room was a large, round room with walls of beige. Along the edges of the room were the thrones of all of the major gods, and each throne looked different, resembling what their owner was the god of. For example, Asrael's was a delicate, golden chair with a plush, red seat, and roses wrapped around the edges but no where near where the god would sit.

Azrael walked over to his throne, running his thin, delicate finger across one of the petals of the beautiful, red roses before leaning in to smell their lovely fragrance. He only moved away to sit down upon the velvety seat of the throne, feeling power dance across his skin. It had been a long time since Azrael had used his powers, having not used them after he left the realm of the gods for some time, and he only used them if need be which wasn't too often at all. Azrael's blue eyes searched the room for anyone that he could find, not having seen any of the major gods since he had arrived at the realm of the gods which was a bit odd. Maybe they just went on vacation or had some other matters that they needed to attend to, but that was very unlikely with how much of workaholics some of the other gods were.

Quetz listened as Percival spoke about the woman who freed him, getting to his own feet as well. He looked down at the boy for a moment as he thought about the description he'd received; it was rather vague. "There's a chance," was the simple reply toward Percival's inquiry. Then, he took a cursory look around, weighing his options of places to sleep. The park was a no-go, since it wasn't particularly dense and left few places to hole away in. They couldn't go to any typical alleys or spots homeless would normally go, either, because despite Percival's comment about believing nobody would look for him, Quetz wasn't quite so optimistic; he didn't know what kind of curse had been cast on the slavers, but he doubted they'd give up so easily if Percival was particularly valuable to them. He thought for a moment, then seemed to reach a decision.

"Let's go."

It took a bit of walking before they reached a place Quetz deemed appropriate. It was a three story apartment building in a somewhat nicer neighborhood. Quetz lead them around to the back alley where the fire escapes were located and turned to Percival. "We'll sleep in the roof. This type of neighborhood usually has fewer vagabonds because the police run them elsewhere, so if slavers are searching for you it's not likely the first place they'll look. Also, most escapees tend to instinctively hole up in places like buildings, hidey-holes so to speak, so the roof is better."

Walking up to the ladder, Quetz looked up at it; it was, predictably, secured up so that people couldn't just climb it from the ground whenever they wanted. Even Quetz wasn't tall enough to reach it, so he turned his stoic gaze toward Percival. "I'm going to lift you. You'll need to unlatch and lower it quietly."
I really need more active RP's to be in, so if y'all know of any hit me up!

"So you said that you have been to the realm of the divine," Percival recalled as they walked, trying to make some conversation between the two of them so that things weren't that awkward, "does that mean that you've met gods before?" Maybe he could have Quetz teach him some things about the gods later since no one had bothered to teach him anything about the gods. It wasn't like Perci could have looked it up on the internet in his free time since he could only read basic things like recipes so that he could cook. "What are they like? What kind of gods are there?"

Percival was a bit nervous when Quetz told him his plan, causing him to shift awkwardly from foot to foot as he looked up at the ladder. It's not that he wasn't okay with the plan, but he wasn't really comfortable with people touching him in general, especially with people that he's just met. Years of abuse could do that to people. "Just be careful, and please avoid touching my ribs if at all possible." Percival still had some fresh bruises on his ribs that were a result of a previous punishment, but as long as Quetz was gentle, he should be fine.

Percival went over to Quetz, taking a nice, deep breath before moving in front of the Quetzalcoatl to be lifted. The ladder was pretty high up even for Quetz who towered over Perci, but it they worked together, they could stay up on the roof. "We'll need to make sure to lift the ladder back up once we're up there. We can't have other people bother us while we're sleeping." Percival was really hoping that Quetz would stay with him for awhile, but Quetz's earlier warning was enough to make him believe that the Quetzalcoatl was planning on leaving him in the morning.
