Rafe saw the huge crowd in one of the aisles and quickly made his way to it, finding Roan passed out on the floor shortly afterward. He then told a few of the customers and coworkers there who he was and that he'd bring him to the hospital before gently and carefully picking him up and then heading to his car soon after that. He carefully held onto Roan as he pulled out his keys from his pocket before unlocking the car and placing him in the front passenger's seat. He made sure to buckle him in before getting in the driver's seat, starting up the car, and then heading to the hospital as fast as he could while still staying within the speed limit although it was a bit hard to do at times. When he got there, he put the car in park after pulling into a spot in front of the building, got out, unbuckled Roan, and then went inside afterward to check him in while also letting the receptionist know that it was an emergency. She nodded and then told him to sit down to wait for the doctor. He did so and then a little while later when they were called, he followed the doctor to the examination room, and then told him what had happened.

"I missed the baby too," Alex said in reply with the smile still on his face before leaning down and kissing Hikaru's baby bump soon after it was revealed. "I remember and I can't wait to see what our baby looks like right now," he said in reply just before kissing him on the forehead after having pulled away from the bump.

(I guess I shall play the doctor for a bit. )

The doctor was rushing about the examination room, getting some tools in order to help him figure out what was wrong and having Rafe lay Roan down on the examination table while a few nurses came into the room to help the doctor if needed. "Has anything like this happened before?" the man asked, checking Roan's pulse to find it weak. Roan's pulse began to cause the doctor to worry, grabbing stethoscope to listen to Roan's heart beat to see if the cause of Roan's weak pulse was Roan's heart or not. "Nurse, get the defibrillator," the doctor said as soon as he found his answer. It wasn't long before Roan's shirt was removed and the defibrillator was being used on him.

It was a few minutes before Roan finally started to wake up, causing the doctor and nurses to let out a sigh of relief. One of the nurses guided Roan to lay down on his side towards Rafe while the doctor proceeded with his examination from before. "Rafe?" he murmured softly.

Hikaru couldn't help but giggle even more, blue eyes curiously watching Alex. "Our baby will be perfect," he said softly, knowing that much at least. "So what do you want our baby to look like? Like the characteristics from each one of us."

((okay and I apologize for my late response again. birthdays and preparing for Thanksgiving as well as work got in the way for a bit ))

Rafe worroedly paced back and forth while the doctor and nurses worked on him and then he sat down again on the side that Roan was laying when he saw him start to stir. "I'm here and I'm sorry for making your heart problem arise again and you passing out. I needed to tell you about Kai but maybe I should've been a bit more careful how I worded what I did so that you wouldn't end up here again," he said as he held one of Roan's gently in one of his own.

"You really think so? Well we can hope it'll be that way," Alex said in reply to what Hikaru said about the baby being perfect before hearing the question and other statement regarding what it would look like with the help of characteristics from each of them and said in reply, "Hm maybe your eyes and my hair with flecks of color from yours or your hair with flecks of color from mine and either of our noses and lips."

(It's been the same for me for most of the rps on this website lately. I just have been really busy in real life lately.)

Roan just shook his head when he heard Rafe put the blame on himself. "No Rafe, this was surely bound to happen sooner or later," he said softly as one nurse came over to him and hooked him up to a nasal cannula that was connected to an oxygen. Roan smiled at the nurse before looking back over at Rafe, gently squeezing Rafe's hand as he took an easier breath through the cannula. "I have money saved up in my bank account just in case."

Soon the doctor finished his examination and moved over to talk to the couple. "It seems like Roan's heart problems decided to return, but I'm afraid that compared to the previous results we have received from the other hospital, they've gotten worse," the doctor said with a soft sigh, looking over the papers on the clipboard in his hands. "We have decided that it might be best for Roan to stay at the hospital for a little while for medication and observation." The doctor peeked over his spectacles to look back and forth from Roan to Rafe for some kind of answer.

Roan frowned when he heard the doctor's news, looking over at Rafe. "What do you think?" he asked as he looked in Rafe's blue eyes. In all honesty, he wanted to go out and look for Kai, but he wasn't sure if Rafe would let him after this episode. "Shouldn't we go look for Kai?"

"So you don't want our baby to have your eyes?" Hikaru said with a small giggle, tracing a swirl on one of Alex's palms over and over after turning Alex's hand over. "Your eyes are quite memorizing with them being two different colors I do have to admit." He then leaned forward to place and slow but gentle kiss on Alex's lips.

((okay . I'm glad that I'm not the only one then ))

Rafe sighed in relief when he heard everything that Roan said regarding him getting heart problems again not being his fault. He had felt bad about it because of that but now he could breathe easier knowing that it wasn't. He then listened to everything that the doctor told them after the former took his hand and squeezed it gently and the worried expression returned to his face once again. "That doesn't sound good that his heart problems came back again and worse this time around but I think it would be a good idea if he stayed here a bit longer for him to receive the proper medication and treatment," he said in reply to what the doctor said since it seemed that he was waiting for one of them to give him an answer as well as replying to his love's first question while looking back in his (Roan's) eyes. In reply to the second question he said, "Alex and I will go look for him while you're here. I'll ask him if Hikaru could stay with you to keep you company as well as to give him some advice as he's nearing his due date."

"Well I was always called a freak growing up because of my different colored eyes so I don't want our baby to have the same thing happen to him/her," Alex said in reply to Hikaru's question before he felt him trace circles over and over again on his palm. He shivered a bit at the feeling although he wanted to moan a bit but squashed the temptation to do so. "Well thank you. I think your own eyes are a pretty shade of blue," he said in reply to the statement that the former said before he was given a slow and gentle kiss to his lips. He smiled into it and kissed him back just as slowly and gently.

As soon as the doctor got the reply from Rafe, the doctor and the nurses began to get the paperwork and room ready in order for Roan to be admitted and settled in. During this time, Roan focused on Rafe, and as soon as Roan heard Rafe say Hikaru was nearing his due date, he couldn't help but giggle a little bit although he was still very upset about the kidnapping of his baby. "He's not even halfway through his pregnancy yet though he does seem to be a bit farther along then he told me he was." He laid the side of his head down before closing his eyes, letting his thumb stroke the back of Rafe's hand. It wasn't long before the doctor had Roan switch from the examination table onto a gurney so that he could stay connected to the oxygen tank. "You're going to go to my room with me, right?" he asked his boyfriend before the nurses started to take him onto the elevator and up to his room. Roan wasn't quite ready to be left again after what happened, but he understood if Rafe wanted to go search for Kai as soon as possible.

"Thank you, too," Hikaru said with a blush on his cheeks and a smile on his face when Alex complimented him, brushing a stand of his blonde hair behind his ear. He continued to kiss Alex, but after a few minutes, he had to pull back to take a breath of air. "You know, I could really get addicted to kissing those lips of yours. Oh wait, I think I already am!" He couldn't help but laugh a little bit, being in a giggly mood at the moment. Soon Hikaru was leaning up, kissing Alex's soft lips again but faster with the same amount of gentleness as before.

Rafe smiled a bit at the sound of Roan giggling before hearing what he said and asked afterward. "Okay maybe he's not that near to his due date but it will still be good for the both of you to be together while Alex and I rescue Kai. Yes of course I will and I'll probably not go with Alex yet until tomorrow," he said in reply to both as he followed the gurney and the nurses to the elevator and then in the elevator with Roan to his room. He was going to make sure that he was settled in and whatnot first before he would go with Alex to rescue Mai the next day.

"You're welcome and I think I might be too," Alex said in reply to both of Hikaru's statements before he was kissed again on the lips. He could tell that it was still the same gentleness and softness as before but it was also faster than earlier as well. He kissed him back with the same amount of quickness as the former kissed him with and gently laid him down so that his back was resting against the blankets of the bed.

It wasn't long before the group arrived in what would be Roan's room for a little while. It was a single patient room that was bland with the whites and light grays around it, but the room seemed to light up with the colors and the many windows on the far side of the wall. Compared to what Roan's seen on tv, it seemed like this room would be very homey. The nurses transfered Roan onto his bed before leaving the room to give the couple some alone time. "It seems nice here," Roan said with a small smile as he adjusted the canula in his nose before scooting over in the hospital bed to make room for Rafe to sit down as well. "What do you think about this room?" he asked, wanting to try and distact his mind from the sad and worried thoughts about their missing baby.

Hikaru laughed a little bit before wrapping his arms around Alex's neck, trying to posiition Alex to be being right over him. "Be careful of the baby. We don't want to squash the innocent little thing," he said with a small laugh after pulling back slightly from Alex's lips before leaning up to catch Alex's lips again. Hikaru wasn't sure how far he wanted them to go with their kissing while carrying a baby because he wasn't sure if or how it would affect he baby.

Rafe sat down beside Roan after the nurses left and also after Roan had made room for him to sit on the bed. "It's a very nice room," he said in reply to the former's question before laying down next to him on the bed. "I'll bring Kai back tomorrow. I promise," he said softly to him before kissing him gently on the forehead. "It's also okay if you want to cry because I'm here for you to lean on in case you need me and comfort."

Alex nodded in understanding when he heard what Hikaru said about being careful around the baby and then went back to kissing him again when he was kissed. After a few more minutes of the kiss he pulled back from it before laying down beside him and saying, "I think we should stop there for now because like you said we need to be careful with the baby and not to squash it by accident." He then hesitated a bit before adding, "There's also something that I need to tell you about Kai. I also know that you're going to worry but you don't need to because Rafe and I are going to take care of it tomorrow but I still thought that you might want to know."

Roan nodded at Rafe's words, tears beginning to form in his eyes when Kai was mentioned. Before he knew it, he was bawling his eyes out all while clinging gently to Rafe. "I can't believe that this is happening to us," he muttered; his talking almost inaudible with how much he was sobbing. "They should've paid attention to who was picking Kai up... Should I just become stay-at-home mother at this point to make sure he's safe?"

Hikaru turned on his side to face Alex on the bed when Alex laid down beside him, running the tips of his fingers through Alex's dark hair. "What about Kai?" he asked, raising an eyebrow as he looked at his boyfriend with a concerned look on his face. "You know that you can tell me anything, right?" It was when he heard Alex say that he and Rafe would take care of that something tomorrow that Hikaru got a little irritated, remembering that tomorrow was supposed to be their baby's first appointment. What was he supposed to do? Go without Alex or something like that? It wasn't like he could reschedule it since the appointments were hard enough to get as it was. "Alex, the appointment's tomorrow."
