Rafe was still sleeping when the nurse came in with trays that had food on them but then ended up waking up a little while afterward although he wanted to wake up later. He figured that his body wanted him to get up right then instead of waiting as well as the smell of food helping him wake up. "Morning," he greeted Roan a little groggily before reaching over to the side table to get the other tray of food.

"Yep and I've also made breakfast," Alex said in reply to the first question that Hikaru asked him before hearing the second one after the former was dressed. "Of course and I bet you are as well," he said just before he wrapped an arm around him gently before giving him a soft kiss to his lips and then pulling away again afterward to head back to the kitchen. "Ready to eat?"

"Good morning to you, too, sleepy," Roan said with a laughed, thinking Rafe's groggy greeting was kind of cute. He leaned forward and planted a kiss on Rafe's cheek with a smile. On the tray were stawberries, bacon, eggs, toast, and hashbrowns. "You should the bacon. It's amazing, but it couldn't ever compare to your delicious bacon."

Hikaru smiled when Alex gave him a kiss, nodding his head in answer. "Yeah, I'm starving," he said, giggling aoftly when his stomach growled. He followed Alex to the kitchen, reaching forward and taking Alex's hand in his own. "What did you make?" he asked curiously, sniffing the air to see if he could smell anything that would give him a hint to what it was.

Rafe smiled a bit at Roan after he planted a kiss on his cheek and then started to eat the food on the tray after hearing what all the former said about it. "Hm then I will and you think my bacon's really that good?" he said and asked in reply with a small blush on his cheeks after swallowing a bite of one of the strawberries. He didn't think that it was that good but he was glad that his love seemed to think so.

"Oh good and chocolate chip pancakes and scrambled eggs," Alex said in reply to both Hikaru's statement and the question he asked about what breakfast was before leading the way to the kitchen after the former had taken one of his hands in one of his own. When they got to the kitchen, he led the other to his seat and then gave him the plate with the pancakes on it for him to start getting his food first. He would wait to get his until after his love was done.

Roan chuckled a little at Rafe question, especially when he saw the blush on Rafe's cheeks. "Of course I do. Why would I lie?" he asked with I smile. He really did enjoy Rafe's cooking even if Rafe didn't seem to know that. Roan took a bite of hash browns off of his own plate before holding it up to Rafe's mouth. "These are pretty good as well."

Hikaru sat down at his spot at the table, looking at all the delicious food before starting to dish out food onto his plate. After dishing his plate out, he started to prep his pancakes to eat with butter and syrup. "So Alex, I'm kind of worried about what you and Rafe are planning to do after the appointment," he admitted in a soft voice, toying with the fork that he had picked up to eat with. "Just don't do anything that isn't necessary to getting Kai back, okay?"

"I don't know. I just didn't know that you really thought that about my cooking," Rafe said in reply before eating another bite of his bacon until it was all gone and then started to eat the other food on his plate. He had just swallowed a strawberry when he saw and heard what Roan said about the hashbrowns when a forkful of them was held up to his lips to eat. He nodded and then ate what was the form before saying after swallowing them, "You're right. They are good." He then went back to eating his strawberries and then got started on eating his eggs after the berries were gone.

Alex dished out his own food on his plate after Hikaru had gotten his own food and had just started to eat his pancakes after cutting them up and putting honey on them when he heard what the former said. "Don't worry we won't and I'll keep an eye on Rafe so if he does start to do something rash and unnecessary I'll stop him from doing that," he said in reply to both the statement and question with a reassuring smile after he had swallowed a bite of his pancakes before going back to eating his food afterward.

Roan ate a bit longer, finishing up what he wanted on his tray before he looked over at Rafe. "Do you want my toast?" he asked as he rested his head against Rafe's shoulder, turning soon to look at the toast that had been neglected earlier as he focused on eating the rest of his food. "How long do you think they'll have me stay in the hospital this time, Rafe?" he asked, trying to make some conversation. He didn't know how long he would have to stay, and he wasn't sure if they wanted to perform surgery on him or not.

Hikaru began to eat once Alex had gotten his food, nodding at what Alex told him. "I'll worry anyway until you both come back safe and sound," he replied back. It wasn't long before he was done eating, having practically inhaled his pancakes just so that they could get to the doctor faster. It was kind of obvious that he was excited with the smile on his face and the way that he was bouncing on the balls of his feet. Hikaru got up, going over to the sink and washing his plate while he waited for Alex to finish.

"Sure I'll eat it," Rafe said in reply after swallowing a bite of the other food that he had been eating before taking the piece of toast from Roan's plate and eating it shortly afterward. After he had finished eating that part of their breakfast he said in reply to his love's other question, "I'm not sure but maybe a week at most or until they know for sure if you'll need another surgery or not."

Alex nodded in reply to what Hikaru said before he had his attention go back to on his food until he was done eating everything on his plate. He then brought over to the sink to rinse it and then put it in the dishwasher before he had his attention go to the former. "Want to go once we get our shoes on?" he asked as he carefully wrapped his arms around his boyfriend from behind.

Roan set his plate down before turning a little bit to snuggle up against Rafe. "I really hope so. Rafe..., if something happens to me, I want you to move on and take care of Kai, okay?" he muttered softly, wanting to be prepared for the worst, and as long as Rafe got Kai back from the kidnappers, he would be happy. With his doctors saying his condition got worse, it very possibly could be the end. "I know that I may be overreacting, but there's always the possibility."

Hikaru leaned back against Alex with a smile on his lips when Alex wrapped his arms around him, relaxing in his boyfriend's arms. "Yeah, I'm so excited," Alex answered, turning his head to look over his shoulder at Alex. "We get to see out baby for the first time today." Hikaru gently pulled away from Alex so that he could hurry to the entryway so that he could get his shoes on so that they could go.

"Okay but nothing bad will happen to you. The doctors will find out how to keep you living like last time and we won't have to do that possibility for awhile. If I do move on, I'm not going to do that right away. I'm going to wait a little while," Rafe said in reply to the other question as he held Roan against him. He then just nodded in reply and understanding to the last statement he said but didn't say anything.

"I'm glad," Alex said in reply to both of Hikaru's statements before he pulled away from him to get his shoes on in the entryway. He waited a bit before asking after he had gotten his keys off of the peg board next to the door, "Ready?" He figured that his boyfriend was in fact ready bur he just wanted to be sure first before he assumed anything and ended up being wrong.

"How can you be so sure, Rafe? Life is such a cruel thing..." Roan said softly, looking up at Rafe with a sad expression on his face, but he was still against Rafe. "My condition is getting worse..., and the doctors thought I was going to die last time, remember?" He was worried about something though. What if Kai happened to get the same heart problem that he has? There is no way that life could be this cruel, is there?

Hikaru had his shoes on by the time he heard Alex's question, nodding his head eagerly. "Of course!" he said happily, opening open the door and walking outside. The air outside felt good on his skin, but as much as he wanted to enjoy it, they needed to get to the appointment. Hikaru hurried over to the car, getting into the passenger's seat as he eagerly squirmed around in it.
