Akaito couldn't help but grin, knowing full well he was going to have a disadvantage but sometimes, that wasn't everything there was to a battle. He moved over to the end opposite of the eager Fire type, standing with his Aegislash beside him. To have a battle without having to keep up his image as a stone-cold Elite Four... he hadn't had something like this in ages. He laughed lightly at the confidence that Rowan had in himself and Scylla and grinned at him happily. "Oh, don't worry Rowan. Type advantage or not, you'll see what my cousin has taught me about battling," he informed as Deacon moved forward in front of him, a determined gaze in his singular eye as he glared down Scylla. Akaito's own gaze matched his Pokemon's despite the smile on his face. It didn't take long before the match was on...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The battle had taken longer than probably both had even expected. With Scylla's type advantage, she managed to get off a lot of good hits on Deacon but the Aegislash had just as much battling experience behind him because of his past with 'Akaito'. It was close but in the end, Deacon landed a hit for the win with his Sacred Sword attack though it took a while since they were both attacking head on at once for the winner to be determined as Scylla fell over. One thing was for sure, the way he switched between Blade and Shield Formes was mastered probably beyond what Rowan expected.
Akaito called back Deacon to his Pokeball for the first time that night, wishing him a good rest as he placed the pokeball gently to his forehead before placing it on his belt and approaching Rowan and the downed Scylla. "I haven't had such an exciting match like that in years... I knew you would make a great opponent," he grinned before moving to the side where in one of the pillars a door opened up and he pulled out a Hyper Potion, moving back over to Scylla and spraying the potion on her injuries. "You should feel like new in the morning, girl," he murmured, petting her sleek fur with a smile.
By the end of the battle, even Rowan had grown exhausted. There were many occasions in which the battle came to a near end, only for both sides to receive a new burst of energy and determination. However, in the end it was Deacon that took the win, managing to strike Scylla with his Sacred Sword attack and outmatching even Scylla's speed.
The moment that Scylla fell over Rowan had hurried by her side. It took several moments for her to recover from her daze. She settled her head in her trainer's lap and gave a cry of reassurance, along with an exhausted smile. "You were great. I don't think you've grown rusty at all," He mused with a chuckle. He gave a grateful smile to his opponent as brought out a Hyper Potion. Then, after receiving a bit of pampering, he returned the Ninetales to her Pokeball to rest.
Rowan stood, brushed off his pants, and gave an exhausted sigh. "Why are you so good at battling? Heck, you're a singer, a chef, and an impressive trainer. I'm surprised I wasn't sent out to recruit you," He said. "Do you have any other secrets you would like to share?"
Akaito couldn't help but smile when he saw Rowan and Scylla together, watching them gently. It reminded him so much of him and Deacon. He wondered just how the guy could have joined either army with how he loved his Pokemon... that and he seemed a little too impressive in battling skills to be a simple recruiter. Perhaps he wasn't the only one keeping secrets? He would allow the male to figure out his own though on his own time. He just smiled and ran his hand through his hair to put it out of his face. Thankfully, with the fact he had to wear this disguise all the time, he had decided to just dye his hair red so there was no threat of a wig falling off. He couldn't help but grin when Rowan asked if he had any other secrets he would like to share, closing one eye at him in a wink as he held up a wagging finger. "Ah ah... those are for you to figure out. Besides, I did say Cylorn taught me how to battle and we are in the twenties range... that's a lot of time for being taught," he mused in a tsk.
"In either case, I believe we're both exhausted and the night wears on... best to sleep now so you can be on your way early," he mused before grinning. "But since we don't have a Ninetales to share a bed with..." he mused with a sly smile now, the hint being obvious as to what he was getting at as he chuckled. Of course, that wasn't the reason he battled him but he would tease the male as if that was the only reason he did do battle.
Rowan raised an eyebrow at his finger, crossing his arms and putting on a mock frown. Okay, he did have an Elite member train him, but that meant he was also a natural battler if he was able to be as good as he was. At the mention of him leaving early, he put on a calm composure but internally scowled. The night was dragging on, but he was having more fun than he had had in a long time. It was a bit disappointed that he was going to have to depart soon.
His face grew warm just then at the reminder that Scylla was resting in her Pokeball and he wouldn't have to share with her. Akaito's suggestive tone made him turn back towards the forest, the way in which they came. "I-I think I'll stick with the couch tonight, thank you," He said with his back turned, his voice stuttering slightly from surprise. As much as I would like to reward the winner..
He cleared his throat and began towards the cabin. "Come on, it's chilly out here, and if we wait any longer I might just fall asleep on the ground," He continued, crossing his arms for emphasis.
Akaito couldn't help but hold back a laugh when h saw Rowan's reaction to his suggestion, grinning widely. Oh how he loved the easily embarrassed ones. They were just too cute. He just smiled at his stuttered reply and shrugged. "Alright then. Suit yourself," he mused with a chuckle. He watched the male's flustered state. Oh how he wished he could reveal who he was... it was too bad that he wanted to stay out of this war. Maybe then he wouldn't be so lonely. But alas, he had chosen the path of keeping the brothers' childish war out of his interest because he was going to fuel their petty argument that would cost, in the end, an infinite amount of lives both civilian, 'soldier', and Pokemon alike.
"Fine, fine," he chuckled as Rowan said for them to head back to the cabin. He moved forward and led the way back to the cabin for the young man, moving inside before showing him the made up couch. "I do hope you find it comfortable," he mused with a small grin before making his way down a small hallway where the bathroom door and a bedroom door were located. "Enjoy your sleep, my friend," he mused with a smile before heading into the bedroom and crawling into his own bed for sleep.
Avair was awoken the next morning by one of his soldiers, who had brought in a letter that he immediately knew was from his brother. Saying that he was pleased to have received it so quickly would be an overstatement, but there was some relief that there was no argument about meeting with his brother.
His thoughts flickered to Nadia right then, remembering yesterday's events and how she was poisoned. Deciding to go and see her, he quickly took a shower and threw on a new change of clothes and hurried out the door. However, even as he was making his way to where she was a soldier had come to his side to give a report, which he found himself only half listening to. He was a bit more concerned with seeing Nadia, he realized, which somewhat alarmed him. The well-being of the others is just as important, he reminded himself, and from then he listened to the man more intently.
The medical tent had fewer people in it now, with the those with more minor wounds treated and allowed to leave to find somewhere a bit more comfortable to sleep.
A nurse walked up to Avair, a clipboard in hand, and he quickly stopped the Truth leader - no doubt out of assumption that he had come for a report on the wounded. He ran down the list of casualties, but there had been no deaths. Once he had finished the list, Avair gave a slight nod and gazed around the tent. "And how is Nadia," He asked casually, gaining a curious look from the nurse that Avair brushed off.
Lance awoke early the next morning, much to his displeasure since he had gone to sleep late in the night anyways. His neck also ached thanks to the odd position he had fallen asleep in, so he was left grumpy and tired. Letting out a sigh, he stood up and stretched. Hopefully things would go well today.
His gaze traveled to the pile of ash that had formed in the pit where the fire had been, then to his traveling companion. The events from yesterday replayed in his mind, and he let out another small sigh. Hopefully she would be in a better mood today.
"Hey, Justine," He called out rather loudly to see if she was awake, and if she wasn't to see if he could wake her up, "Up for some breakfast? We can go to a cafe or something in Geosenge."
Food was the best way to cheer a girl up, right?
__________________________________________
The couch was comfortable. That was one upside.
Rowan undoubtedly had a difficult time falling asleep. But that was only to be expected, since the host had a ghost sword that had a knack for scaring people. Even with Scylla laying peacefully next to the couch he found himself flinching at every little movement and sound. Luckily it did get to the point where he couldn't stay awake any longer and he fell right to sleep.
The next morning he woke up with sleepy eyes and bedhead hair. Mornings were never his thing, but he still somehow managed to wake up early, no matter what time he went to sleep.
He glanced at his jacket, which he had laid on the top of the couch right before trying to sleep. Out of habit he unzipped the pocket and pulled out a Holo Caster and checked the messages.
1 New Message.
He scowled, realizing it was from one of the Resistance members that had messaged him. He pulled up the message, and was none to pleased to read what is said.
It seemed that rumors were going about that the brothers were planning to meet with one another. Whether that was a good or bad idea, chances are it leaned towards the latter. Especially considering where it would be held. The supposed resting area of Yveltal. He gave an exhausted sigh as he laid his head back down on the pillow, his Holocaster in one hand and the other arm covering his eyes. If only things could go back to a standstill, that would give them more time. He would have to see if the two Resistance members sent to Kalos had made any progress.
The male nurse that had approached Avair was curious when he specifically asked how well Nadia was before getting a little worried. "Well, sir, she's um... well, she wasn't in her bed when we came to check up on her so we don't know but based on the last check during the night, she was nearly the same as when you brought her in," he informed, a bit frightened that he would get in trouble or get yelled at for her not being in her bed. "We've already sent others out looking for her but we have yet to find her," he added with a small wince.
Meanwhile, Nadia was just enjoying a little bit of free time to herself. She knew Avair and everyone would come looking for her soon enough but she wasn't going to give up her daily routine of waking up early and spending some time alone to think because of a bit of poison. She laid on the sand of the beach of Cyllage City, just enjoying the breeze and the sun, having watched the sunrise with Zephyr. She knew, however, that her time alone would be short lived soon. The medical teams likely already had others out searching, not that they'd check the beach but Avair... Avair likely would and he was probably up by now.
Grimacing in pain, she stood up but Zephyr helped her to do so, supporting her. She leaned on her Charizard for aid, deciding it best to head back now. She didn't want to be caught in such an off guard state by Avair. Besides, she could always say she was going out for fresh air more than anything, which was truth in all reality. She didn't like being confined to a medical tent. It reeked of medicine and blood. But she had to go back. Zephyr helped her along, Nadia using him as support as they made their way steadily, even if slowly, back to base.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Justine had been awake for nearly an hour or so now but she didn't have the emotional resolve to leave while the Deputy slept. She knew full well she couldn't let her personal feelings on everything get in the way of others' safety. She had been crying for most of the time she had been awake but it had stopped some minutes before the Deputy woke up. She heard him, but she didn't bother to say anything and even when he spoke to her, she nearly didn't. But she knew she couldn't let her silence last forever. Once Geosenge was evacuated, she could leave him without regret and continue what she had come here to do.

She sat up finally and despite the sleep she had last night, she looked like she hadn't slept at all, which she might as well not have considering she was constantly terrorized last night by her memories of her past. She looked defeated in her current state as she looked over at Lance, the Ideal Deputy. "Yea, sure... but you might want to change into that breeder outfit first," she murmured, showing she was still listening to him somewhat at least last night. She then looked away as she got up with some difficulty. Now that it was the next day, the pain came worse for her back and head, especially now that she didn't have painkillers to treat it. She left without taking any.

She stood up, picking up her two pokeballs and wearily putting them on her belt. She looked around, noticing Kinley wasn't present before looking over at Lance. "I'll go on ahead... not like you can't catch up with me," she murmured before then just moving off. She could have easily just made something to eat but she didn't feel up for it, not with the pain she was in. She didn't show it though; only her movements showed the pain she was in.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Akaito was already up as well, waking up around the time that Rowan had. He got himself dressed, showered, and groomed before he headed out, taking Deacon's pokeball with him. He let the Aegislash out of his pokeball before making his way to the kitchen. There, he prepared breakfast for himself and his guest whom he checked to see if he was still here. Like last night, it was another Lacunosa dish of course. They were really the only ones he knew well enough for them to taste good and since they both liked them anyway, he made them, alongside Deacon of course.
This time around, it was Aspear pancakes. The syrup, of course, was maple syrup blended with some Pecha berries to add a sweet and sour kind of flavor that tingled the senses. Once finished, he added a glass of Moomoo milk to it all before then bringing it out to the table, placing it down on either side like last night though keeping Rowan's dish in his hand. He made his way into the living room, grinning at the sleepyhead Rowan.
He stopped for a moment, thinking before grinning and handing the dish to Deacon who then floated over to Rowan and held the dish down slightly so that the scent of the pancakes wafted around Rowan. "Wakey wakey, my lovely sleepyhead. I believe you would like to soon be on your way, yes? But how about some breakfast before you go?" he mused with a grin before Deacon backed up a bit to let Rowan get up and to make sure Rowan didn't toss the dish after having such a scare since the Aegislash was leaning over him, staring at him creepily with his single eye.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Callion woke up early the next morning, as was usual. He had left Ivory to sleep and sent out orders for the other ships to begin the evacuation and siege of the next Region without him, that he had other matters to attend to. He fully expected for this meeting that was to happen tomorrow with his brother to not go well or not be believed which was why he wasn't going to call off the attack. Still, he had them make certain to not be surprised if he may call to tell them to call it off. Why, he didn't tell them.

He moved around, giving out orders, letting Zekrom and his other two Pokemon help out in getting out all of his troops and all of his supplies onto the ships. After he made certain everything was still underway, he made his way back into his cabin on his flagship and looked over to Ivory before moving over to her, looking down at her. "Ivory... it's time for you to get up now," he informed, kneeling down and gently shoving her to wake her up. He hadn't eaten but new food was waiting for her should she decide to eat.

Ivory’s sleep was full of restlessness throughout the night. Her dreams were plagued with a mixture of memories and her own fears, resulting in nightmares that kept her from gaining the energy she needed from sleeping. Only when the daylight began filtering in through the window, and shortly after Callion had left, did she finally calm down, her nightmares fading into a comfortable nothingness.

Exhaustion made her jumpy, so it was no surprise when she was startled awake by Callion. She acted on instinct, her hand already grabbing the dull pocket knife that she used for carving, and in one quick motion she held it between the two of them, am uncomfortable and limited position thanks to the shackles. Her eyes were wide and revealed her daze, and for a long moment she stayed in her defensive position. Finally the memories of yesterday’s events returned to her, and she dropped her hand back to the bed and rested her head against the wall.

“..Sorry,” She apologized simply as she tried to even her breathing.

Just then Ivory got the scent of the food that had been brought in, replacing what she had refused to eat earlier. While there was an emptiness in her stomach, the smell of the food only made her nauseous. Her head was aching, the result of stress and tension over the past few days, and the uneasy feeling only strengthened when she remembered where they were.

“Let me get some fresh air,” Ivory said, and though she meant it to be more of a demand, it came out sounding more like an exhausted request. Nevertheless, she didn’t plan on taking no as an answer.

Lance glanced up at Justine as she spoke, pleased to see that she was talking to him now, but this soon faded into worry at her defeated expression. Not only that, but they way she walked as she started in the direction of Geosenge showed that she was still in pain. He watched her walk for a short while, before beginning to clean up their campsite in a slight hurry, not wanting her to go too far on her own. Not because he didn’t trust her, but because he still worried about her injury.

Once he was finished he hurried to catch up with Justine, slowing his pace only when he reached her. He gave her a side glance. “If your injury is still bothering you, you can ride on Kinley. I’m sure she wouldn’t mind in the slightest,” He offered, returning his gaze ahead of him. The Pokemon sat in her pokeball, mostly in an attempt to keep the townsfolk from immediately recognizing him, but he doubted it would work well either way. “We can stop by the Pokemon Center as well as soon as we get into town, I’m sure they’d have something to help the pain.”

The worry he showed now was not uncommon, and was instead one of the reasons he was respected highly among the Ideal military. Every human and every Pokemon mattered, and he would never leave anyone behind. However, he couldn’t deny the fact that the concern he felt now was more personal, and stronger than if it had been anyone else.

Avair glanced at the nurse with a hint of alarm, hearing that there had been little change than when Nadia had first been brought in. His eyes narrowed with obvious irritation. "She was in your care, shouldn't you be paying a bit more attention to your patients," He began harshly, before catching himself. This was Nadia they were talking about, even if they had seen her slip out, chances are they wouldn't have much say in where she went.

The man's eye's softened when he noticed the nurse's guilt. "I apologize. Thank you for sending people out to search for her, but there's no need. Go ahead and call them off, I'll find her myself," He continued more calmly now, and with that he took his leave.

He had an idea of where the General was. She likely would have wanted to go off somewhere alone, with no one around. The search teams probably assumed that she would have returned to her duties without permission, but Avair believed otherwise. Nadia was smart enough to not over-exert herself when it wasn't necessary and she was under the effects of posion..

Still, she's as stubborn as a Tauros, Avair thought. When had he grown to care for the woman? He had convinced himself that his worry stemmed from the respect that he had for her, and the fact that she was one of his greatest assets in this war. Determined, loyal, and as much as he hated to admit it, an equal to him. Even Reshiram had grown to respect the General.

His thoughts were cleared when two shapes came into view. The reflection of the light bouncing off a neckguard allowed Avair to instantly recognize the Charizard as Zephyr, and leaning against him was Nadia, her form still weak, but moving. Avair quickened his pace to reach the two, though he slowed as he approached. "I'd rather not have to spend my time searching for a missing soldier," He commented, anger laced in his voice, along with the slightest hint of relief. "Next time, I'll make sure to lock you in somewhere."

Avair offered his arm just then to help support her. "Are you feeling any better?"

The scent of the breakfast didn’t go unnoticed by Rowan, but he had been so absorbed in his own thoughts that he didn’t even budge. Only when the smell was directly under his nose did he finally move, the smell much to appealing to ignore any longer. He gave the slightest hint of a smile at the sound of Akaito’s voice and removed his arm from his face, allowing him to see once more.

He had been expecting it all night, but it was only now that the ghost had returned to haunt him. He shoved himself backward into the couch, obviously receiving a startle from the sight of the Pokemon’s eye, before casting a scowl towards Akaito. “I didn’t think you would be so eager to get me out of your house,” He remarked, though he couldn’t stay upset for very long. The sight of the Lacunosa dish made him forget the event almost entirely, and he found himself cautiously taking the plate from the Pokemon.

“This looks amazing,” He commented more cheerfully as he got up and made his way to the table with the dish in hand. Rowan truly did appreciate the man’s generosity, something that a lot of Lacunosa-raised people had. Still, even with the food he found himself sinking back into his thoughts, a serious look flickering on his face for just a moment. Tomorrow..he had to be in Geosenge by tomorrow. Luckily Clyde would be able to teleport them fairly close to the town.

Well, there was at least some time to eat the generous meal.

{YAAAAAY! You're here! XD}

Callion held no discernible reaction to the blade suddenly between him and Ivory as soon as he touched her, simply holding up a hand calmly as he watched her expression, having fully expected this but knowing also that she would reply in defense, not offense. Ivory was a defensive one. She never really preferred the offensive which was why there was hardly a surprise; after all, he hadn't forgotten about the carving knife she kept on her person. He was the one who let her keep it so why would he and what kind of leader would he be if he had?

The silence was long and he didn't speak a word, letting the traitor came to her senses. After her apology, he placed his hand down with a head shake and a shrug. "Perfectly normal reaction that I expected from you," he responded with coolly before standing up, glancing Ivory over a moment before finally looking at her again as she spoke again. He couldn't help a cracked smile at her next words though that he just knew was supposed to be a demand than a plea but he shook his head some and it was gone as he looked back at her...

"Certainly, why not? You've been behaving well enough as my prisoner of war... I suppose you deserve such a reward," he mused after some careful thought. He took out the key to her shackles and undid them from the wall only, cuffing them in front of her instead. Most people always thought he was an idiot or insane for cuffing them in the front of a person because it was less easy for them to maneuver their hands behind their back and also not so easy for them to knock out their guard... but he knew all too well some could do just that easily anyway and he'd rather be able to see an attack coming than have to constantly look over his shoulder for an attack.

Callion then helped Ivory stand up before gesturing her forward to follow him by gently tugging on her chains, picking up her breakfast. "Perhaps some fresh air may even allow you to eat. Or not. I could have poisoned the food after all and decided to kill you quietly and save myself the mess," he mused with a slight smirk her way but unfortunately it was not quite obvious to tell if he was joking or serious, the smirk leaving his lips as soon as it had come.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Justine continued onward without hesitation to her step despite her painful injuries, ignoring them despite the show of the pain in her step slightly without her meaning to. She hadn't gotten very far, just as she had told Lance to begin with, when he'd finally caught up. She wasn't even halfway to Geosenge. She just side glanced back over at him with a slight glare at the one she deemed as a hypocrite. That was it. From now on she'd call him the hypocrite in her mind when speaking of Lance. She could tell he at least genuinely cared but that made it all the more maddening of the fact he joined either of the brothers' causes. If he truly cared so much, he wouldn't have. It was easier for her to work with helping the injured or dying by being neutral as far as her opinion went.
She had to be honest with herself though; were it not for who he fought for, she probably could have found him quite attractive in both personality and looks. But she wouldn't let such personal feelings get in the way of her duty to people and Pokemon around the world. Her job with the Resistance and her neutrality on the field of battle would call for no such feelings and allegiances. At this point, she felt Lance just destined her to be doomed to loneliness after taking her friend away and betraying her as he did. Ivory was really the only one she got along with completely in the Resistance and the fact of who she was before weighed nothing on her anymore; in fact, she admired her courage to leave to begin with the more she thought on it.
Justine looked back at Lance and narrowed her gaze as she finally responded after a moment's time of thought. "I'm perfectly fine.... I've taken worse," she muttered before again looking ahead, her answer short and terse. Sure, she would have loved the first option but just as he knew, she didn't want him more easily recognized with having Kinley. If any of the townsfolk recognized him at all, her reputation would be ruined and the civilian folk involved in this war would no longer trust her if word got around. Then she couldn't do her job. And if she couldn't do her job, what was left in this world for her then? So she just continued on and finally walked more smoothly after a moment of correcting herself, noticing her gait was off which was what gave it away to Lance. She couldn't appear at all in pain despite this pounding headache that the light of the sun seemed to only make worse every now and again.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Nadia looked up ahead and around, watching for any sign of Avair or anyone else who might have pursued her in hopes of not gaining their leader's wrath. Another reason she decided to head back; so she wouldn't get the poor nurses and doctors in trouble. But it seemed that she had decided to leave too late.... Avair was seen in the distance ahead of her. Wow, had she really lost track of time that much? She must be pretty out of herself as she glanced up slightly at the sky with squinted eyes. Crap... yea, she had lost track of time. She hadn't even realized it was nearly 10 o'clock.

She looked back down from the sky and watched Avair approach, stopping as he got closer to her and just letting him approach as she pushed off from Zephyr who watched her worriedly but didn't stop her from supporting her own self in front of her leader. He knew how much his trainer's pride meant to her. "Yes, I know, but I'm not missing. It's not as if you couldn't easily find me, Sir Avair," she mused, waving off his anger at her a bit weakly. She fully expected it after all. She was disobeying direct orders he had given her last night not to go off on her own but the medical tent was just stifling to a General who was used to being out in the open air, commanding troops, setting up camp and crafting strategies against her leader's foes.

At the offer of Avair's arm to him, she couldn't help but smirk at him, about to respond with a quip about how he was becoming soft but after a moment she just bit her tongue in thought about how he had been acting with her since her poisoning. She had actually been thinking on that quite a bit and at first figured it was simply because she was one of his best Generals.... but the continued offer of help was beginning to make her think otherwise as she watched him in curiosity a moment before nearly falling over at her loss of concentration, catching herself on Avair's arm without really meaning to as she grimaced. "Any other time I would have said yes but the action my body just took would show I am lying through my teeth," she murmured in a somewhat joking manner, knowing she couldn't have hidden that with any excuse no matter how many she came up with that could possibly be legit. She did decide, though, to forego her stubbornness if only for the time being and accept her leader's offered help, using his arm to support herself.

Zephyr had nearly reached out his own arms to catch his trainer but stopped, realizing she had caught herself on Avair's arm, making him pull back his own and cross them over his chest, watching the both of them. He had always felt his trainer had a growing fondness for her leader but she never acted on it and the same for him. Though, to say the least, they probably don't even realize what's happening themselves. He shrugged with a gruff grumble and just moved over to Nadia's other side, ready to support her if she asked him of it.

Akaito laughed lightly at the shock from Rowan as he startled back away from Deacon, his Aegislash. Still, he knew he couldn't resist the temptation of a Lacunosa hometown favorite dish but as he was about to grin, he pouted instead at the man's remark. "Aww... never! It's just, oh, I know you have other duties you shouldn't put off... you still have my brother to find after all and I'm certain the Ideal army doesn't want to be waiting too long for you to find him, hm?" he mused, watching him take the dish with glee before moving back over to the table and sitting down, Deacon tucking himself into a corner behind Akaito's chair and watching Rowan in a creepy, stalker manner just to see if he could freak him out further or if he would even notice through the delicious dish.

"I'm glad you enjoy the presentation," he smiled happily before sitting down, taking a few bites before looking back at Rowan. "But back to what I was saying, I'm certain you weren't holding your holocaster for no reason when I saw you after I had finished cooking," he mused to him with a smile, flicking his fork side to side in his hand with his head tilted in curiosity. "Am I not right? After all, the holocaster is a grand communication network, isn't it?" he added with a smirk before taking another bite of his own dish, munching happily on the pancakes and shuddering ever so slightly at the sensations on his taste buds.
"Has fate been cruel to us? You may as well ask if fire is good or bad. Fate is like fire; it can shape us... or it can destroy us. All that matters is what you do with it."

At Callion’s remark Ivory seemed to straighten herself and a look of defiance flashed in her eyes. She had been ‘behaving well’? It was no compliment, and she found it to be degrading, especially coming from this man. Still, she could do nothing but give him a hard glare. Her pride might have been hurt, but she was no fool.

The fact that he had cuffed her hands in front of her made it all too tempting to attempt an escape. The thought crossed her mind only for a second, but once again, she was no fool. The leader would undoubtedly overpower her, and even if she did manage to land a hit and get a running start, she didn’t have her Pokemon on her. Soldiers, Ideal Pokemon, Zekrom..there were enough threats to quickly chase the idea out of her head.

Her air of confidence diminished as she stood and the uneasy feeling returned, though she still did her best to hide it. She went as far as leaning away from Callion when he helped her up and glaring at him when he tugged the chain. “I liked you better when you were half asleep. I think we got along much better that way,” Ivory commented, raising her brows at his mention of potentially poisoning the food. She almost commented that such an action would make him no better than his brother, but decided to hold her tongue. Best not to make the day any worse than it will inevitably be by putting him into a bad mood, especially if plans were to stick with him.

“Where are my Pokemon?” Ivory asked suddenly, her hands reaching up to her necklace, but stopping halfway as she remembered the cuffs. The fact that she didn’t have her Pokemon with her made her feel uneasy, especially with the situation she was in now.

Lance’s gave returned to Justine as she answered. He had already expected her refusal, though he decided it would be best to ask anyways. He nodded slightly, not quite convinced that it was the best idea to go without doing something about the injury, but understanding that it would be better to not argue. For a few minutes they traveled in silence, and all the while Lance was trying to think of another way to ease the tension. They started off on the wrong foot from the very beginning, so it would undoubtedly be a difficult task.

The deputy put his hands into his pockets. “If we aren’t heading the the Pokemon Center, we should stop by an old friend’s house before we do much else. It really would be a good idea to get out of these clothes and into something a bit less recognizable,” He decided. It had been a few years since he was last in Geosenge, and those few years did give his appearance time to change. When he left he was actually shorter and skinnier and adorned with shorter hair. Now he looked considerably more mature, his body having aged with the war. In all actuality, going to town as he was was now, he would probably only be recognized as soldier because of his attire. They might not recognize him as the son of the gym leader.

His gaze returned to Justine, and he noticed that she had corrected her walk and looked like she was in much less pain now. However, he definitely doubted that she would have recovered so quickly. Lance sighed. “You know, you don’t have to hide the fact that you’re in pain,” He began, looking directly at her now as he walked, “I get it. You don’t like me, or trust me in any way. But I already know you’re hurt, and we’re the only ones around right now. If you’re worried about looking weak, well, you don’t have to. You’re anything but that, you’ve already proven that.”

“If you can’t stay put in the medical tent, I’ll have a room set up for you in a hotel,” Avair decided under his breath, obviously still not pleased with the fact that she had went off on her own. Still, he let it drop at that, especially after she stumbled onto his arm. He moved to catch her, but stopped short when he realized she had managed to steady herself. She might’ve been clumsy, but at least she was talking normally now. What rest she did get helped at least a bit, though he would’ve preferred if she didn’t strain herself.

His eyes moved up and he caught a glance of Zephyr and his crossed arms. Avair cocked an eyebrow, giving the Charizard a look of slight confusion, before adjusting himself so that he could begin walking with Nadia. “We’re going to head back to the medical tent to get you checked on again,” He decided as he began making his way in that direction.

“I’ve got some preparations I have to make. I’ll be meeting with my brother tomorrow,” Avair paused for a moment, his breath catching when he realized what he had just said. This would be the first time they would be meeting off the battlefield, and for a moment it wasn’t his enemy that he pictured in his head, but the brother that he had protected and care for. But the thought was only for a moment, and he quickly reminded himself who he was meeting with. Callion, the Ideal leader.

“We’re meeting in Geosenge. I’m planning to keep a few soldiers with me, but Reshiram will stay on the outskirts of the town,” He continued, his expression revealing nothing of his thoughts before. “I was planning on having you accompany me, but perhaps it would be best if you stayed here and recover a bit more.”

Rowan began taking bites of the meal, though he was vaguely aware of the ghost Pokemon that continued to eye him. However, the dish was good enough to push the uneasy feeling that the Pokemon gave him to the side. The pancakes were incredible, and just as before, gave him a sense of longing to return home. It was a lifestyle he missed, but he had his priorities to take care of first.

At the mention of the holocaster Rowan glanced up, and thought for a moment. “I’ll assure you it wasn’t anyone working for the Ideal military,” He said, once again being vague on the answer. Not working for, but working with. Still, instead of telling him it was a message from the Rebellion’s spies, he simply gave a soft smile. “Perhaps I was breaking the news to my significant other that I was leaving them for a very appealing singer,” He teased, before taking another bite of his meal.

His face grew a bit more serious. “I’ll actually be making my way to Geosenge today. I’m afraid I won’t be able to spend my time looking for Cylorn right now. Something a bit more important requires my attention.” Rowan returned to his cheerful composure just then. “I’ve really must thank you though. Other than a few..instances, some good company was definitely relieving.”
