Star wandered around, and saw Alex reading under a tree. She nearly smirked when she saw the title. Dracula. Of all the things to read when you're a vampire...

Alex didn't even notice star. his eyes scanned the book, but he only seemed to notice when he turned the page. He jumped noticeably. "Er-- Oh--Star..." he muttered, closing the book.

Star laughed. "Hi. We seem to always run into each other everywhere, don't we?" she mused, thinking about it. From the alleys... To... Well, wherever, really.

Alex almost blushed. Almost. He glanced away quickly. "Well, we both like the park, so..." He thought about it, though. In the store and even in his own house. He resisted a laugh, instead looking back over to her. He didn't quite know what to say.

Star felt a bit awkward, just standing there, saying... Nothing. "I heard there's something exciting they're going to announce tomorrow at school," she muttered. "Wonder what it is."

"Oh?" Alex wondered aloud. "Well, it's due time! That horrible oversized box is about as exciting as watching my house decay," he mumbled. He felt a soft but cold breeze, and he shuddered just slightly.

Star laughed. "True. Although the last time they said it was something exciting, it was that one of the teachers was getting married." She made a face. "Anyway, I better go. See ya tomorrow," she said, almost regretting it. But she was tired.

"That sounds... rather... odd," he sighed. As she told him she had to go, he frowned a little, lifting his older-than-a-century book back up, and opening it to where he had been. "I see. Well, it makes sense. I'll... see you then."

Alex sat in first period. He was way too early, even the teacher wasn't there. the door had been unlocked though thankfully. He pulled out some extra homework he hadn't finished last night, but it was only maybe a page or so. He started jotting down answers, waiting for school to start.
