Star stiffened. "You don't need to know," she snapped, reddening slightly. She didn't really want to tell him about Hunter, for some reason. She didn't know why, she just... Didn't.

Realizing he'd gotten on a touchy subject, Alex sighed slightly and turned his gaze away. "Well then," he muttered. His house was right down the road... the little shabby thing. Ok, the big shabby thing. "And there it is. The pathetic little place I live," he said. He remembered the incident where he'd seen Star in his house.

"... You live there?" she muttered. That was the place where she had... Uh, climbed into one of the windows. Oops. Oh well. She sighed, at least he wasn't talking about Elizabeth anymore. She was growing increasingly more uncomfortable, and she just wanted to get away from Alex. He said he wouldn't feed on her anymore... But she didn't know...

"It's terrible, I know. I don't know how to fix it up. I assure you, though, I keep it quite clean on the inside." He stepped inside, setting the cake down on the nearby table and glancing to Star. "Nothing here bites. Except me. And I already said I wouldn't bite you, so therefore..." He knew she was probably... nervous, to say the least, but this would only last a moment. He'd offer her some cake... and asked if she liked the project so far...

Star walked inside, getting a better look inside the place than she had before. It sort of creeped her out. "Okay, but you also said you would stay away from me. And look how well that turned out," she muttered under her breath.

Alex sighed, having no reply to that last part. "I suppose I did say that," he mused, pulling the cover off the cake and reaching for a long knife. He cut a slice out of the cake, then turned to Star. "Well? would you like some?" he asked, though she'd probably refuse. She seemed so... wary.

Star shook her head. "No thanks," she mumbled, not really hungry. She did that thing again where she would unconsciously rub the spot where he bit her. She sighed, letting her mind wander a bit to school, to her house... To Hunter...

Geez, she really needed to get over him.

"Suit yourself," Alex stated quietly, putting the cover back on the cake and placing it in his still-surprisingly-working fridge. He pulled the paper out of his backpack, scanning it over before handing it to her. "There," he told her, taking a bite from his cake. He felt... awkward, to say the least. He needed to learn to interact with others more.

Star looked over it. It looked pretty good, for a first draft. She handed it back to him. "Looks good. When and where should we... Uh, work on it?" she asked. If we even do work on it, she thought. She hardly cared about school, but she guessed her parents would flip if her grades suddenly plummeted.

Alex took a few more bites of his cake, a bit nervous about what her reaction would be. The sun was setting outside, and his hair didn't look brown anymore-- more of a bluish. She finally handed it back, and he sighed while leaning back in his chair. "Good." At her question, he stopped to think for a moment. "Wherever you like. I'd prefer to do it after school, as I feel more... comfortable?" It was hard to explain. "Anyway, the where is up to you."
