Milo sighed. "It's really stupid," He admitted, "Up until I was thirteen, I believed my mother and father dead. Then, when I found out they weren't and we all went to Atlantis, I just wanted my mother all to myself and I blamed Hinto for taking her from me. But then she was pregnant again and, as selfish as it was, I hated you for taking her attention." He scratched his head nervously, "Then I was too dogged to stop."

Persephone glanced over her shoulder. "I know. I get the fruits, and Ginny gets the vegetables. That's how we've always done it." She stated and Ginny nodded.
"It's true." She said.

Inda just nodded and swirled a spoon through his broth, having lost his appetite. "I'm sorry for having been born, then," he said with a frown on his lips, eyes hooded. He stood, then. "I honestly am. Maybe people would be happier then. Maybe none of this would have happened. You never know."

"Well, seen as I'm not one for vegetables, I'll go help find the fruit," Lance said brightly, going to walk next to Persephone.

Ginny smirked and giggled, hurrying off to the vegetables and leaving Lancelot and Persephone alone. Persephone sighed heavily and said nothing, walking to the fruits part of the market and grabbing various fruits like apples and pomegranates and strawberries, ignoring Lancelot's presence.

Milo frowned and shook his head. "No, Inda, that's just not how it is anymore." He said. "You know, I could have wished you away. And at the time, I wish I had. But, I didn't because I saw how happy mom was to be having you. And Wabe and Grawnya, and without you gods know what Rin would've done to herself. I was the only selfish one. And without you, I never would have met my own mate." He said, "Don't feel bad just because I was an ass."

Lancelot thought over his strategy for a long moment, before finally asking: "What does it take to impress you? You seem rather stoic about the entire thing."

"You may have ended up with Violet. Remained happy. If I hadn't been born, Wabe may have been stationed in a completely different area. In my position. Maybe he would have lived and Jeshrin not have to go through this," Inda murmured, wrapping his arms around himself and looking away. "I just... don't know. Sometimes I honestly think that it would have been better."

Persephone spared a glance Lancelot's way before turning her eyes back on the fruit. "Why do you want to impress me?" She retorted swiftly, looking over an orange before putting it back down and looking over another one.

Milo sighed and shook his head. "You were at a lower rank's position. Wabe was much higher than you, he would have been placed in the same position. He would have died either way." He said, "And I made my wish for happiness because I wasn't. Had you not come about, I would have been fine and I never would have even thought to ask it. I had to take Violet from the human world, which I never would have gone to without the wish. I wouldn't have met my mate, or had my two children, and Rin would be stuck in drunken stupors rather than be in love with you."

"Why not? You look like you could use someone to impress you," Lance replied with a smile. "Has anyone done that with you as of lately? Anyone at all? Or is every last soul just that boring that you would look so dull and be so reserved?"

Inda shook his head, obviously still doubtful. "I don't know... and I don't think that you really understand about this," he murmured softly, shaking his head.

"I don't require being impressed." Persephone said, "If I find interest in someone, I will pursue them. If I don't, then they don't matter to me." She looked over at him, "I am sure that there are hundreds of girls who would love to be impressed by you, they're gawking at you right now." She waved him off dismissively.

"Alright, then explain it to me, Inda." Milo said softly, resting his chin in his hand. "Go on, what don't I understand?"

Lance looked at the girls across the aisle of stalls and shrugged before looking back to Persephone. "I don't find interest in them. I find interest in you, so I'll pursue you," he stated, using her words in return.

Inda struggled with the words for a long moment. "Wabe was my brother, though he was more like a father. Let's face it, Hinto wasn't one who you could look to for advice. When I tried, he just stated he wasn't much for fathering. You wouldn't speak a word to me... Mother was always preoccupied with something or another that I had to wait for so I could get any attention. Wabe just always was ready to stop anything he was doing to talk to me," he murmured. "I feel guilty, for taking his mate. For driving his youngest daughter away with the situation that the family is in. I'm guilty, and I feel like it's all my fault."

"You don't find interest in them because they like you," Persephone said, "Just like every other egotist in the world. You're so inflated with hot air because you're the only male dryad in the world living with a group of naked girls prancing around you and praising you like a god." She rolled her eyes. "You're wasting your breath on me."

Milo brushed his hands down his face and sighed. "I guess I wasn't really helping, huh?" He grumbled. "I was just shocked. It's not your fault things happened, Inda. You got the good Wabe. When Wabe was raising me, he never had time to sit down and talk to me or train me like he did with you." He murmured, "And I'm really glad that you got the good brother out of Wabe, and if he could have his input I'm sure he would be thrilled that you and Rin could still be happy after he was gone. He'd be happy that you got Rin through this, because Rin was his world and he only ever wanted her happiness."

"Maybe you're right, but since I'm full of hot air, I've got plenty breath to waist," Lancelot laughed, shaking his head. "Who made you so rough and cold, my dear?" He watched her curiously, fingers tapping on the side of his thighs.

Inda hesitated. "For a while, Rin was haunted by Wabe. Quite literally. Noelle saw him as well... and odd things happened. He stopped, but he was a specter," he admitted softly.
