The "Searching for a 1x1 Partner" Thread - Important Update!

Hi there! First time posting here but here I go. I'll try and make this organized.

Who I Am:
I am generally friendly, real life and in RPs haha, I love chatting and am very active when it comes to RPs. Because of this I struggle a bit to work in group RPs without feeling like I'm leaving someone behind or I'm moving too far ahead. Due to wanting to become an author in the future, I prefer writing posts in organized paragraphs that contain story progression, details, sometimes inner monologue, etc. I enjoy fantasy elements when RPing, as in beats, demons, angels, gods, magic, and the sort.

My Usual RP Character:
A rather kind and caring person, I usually gravitate to an elf character due to the fact they have no reason to kill humans (such as a vampire) and have a better reason to be rather kind and clerics and rangers. But it seems my characters all have an insanity side to them, a never ending smile, an unstable mentality, a sense of loneliness, things like that. I never make my characters perfect and I am not afraid to take damage in a fight, as in I won't be "butt hurt" if I need to lose a battle or become under powered for the sake of the story.

What I won't RP
I will rarely (and by rarely I mean never) participate in an RP where the setting is in a high school, where the main topic is Romeo and Juliet based, nor will I ever participate in an RP where the plot is based on fighting for a guy or girl for love. Things like that make me very bored, granted I don't mind romance in an RP but I cannot handle and be engaged when the whole RP is basically a day back in high school. No Pokemon, I love Pokemon but I have a whole different site for Pokemon related topics. I don't usually RP in worlds already made because I don't know many of them. I haven't read/seen Harry Potter for example so I cannot RP in that universe. Same for Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, That Cat Book, etc.

Needed Partner:
I'm looking for a partner who can keep up with me in terms of writing (as in I write about two-four paragraphs of information when I write. I'd like to see someone who can do this as well to help move along the story).

Now granted I am very active I don't expect people to stop their lives just to post to me. That being said, at the very least get to posting once every few days or so. At the least!

Try to follow the plot (whatever that may be) as in don't put yourself in another location without reason, or add characters in the RP for no reason, annoying things like that. But if you want to try adding characters or changing locations we can talk about it in PMs.

Speaking of PMs if things get dark, as in passed PG-13 take it to PMs since I'm sure that's a rule anyway xD

Plots I Enjoy:

War. Battles that happen between supernatural vs supernatural.

Survival. Having to simply survive, thrive, travel, more open world based.

Relaxed. The RP where supernatural beings simply live haha, usually set in modern times where a pair simply live, experience life, do an adventure or two, just some casual laid back fun.

Supernatural beings:
Basically all supernatural beings go, from vampires to werewolves, to elves to faeries, from gods to demons. I rarely do humans in my 1 x 1 because the human is always more vulnerable and the RP can become into a Twilight scenario which I don't want haha. Speaking of which, don't give me a Twilight plot, we have all seen the movies and read the books, and if we didn't it's because we didn't want to see the movies or read the books and we don't want to now. I have not seen the movies and only read the first book. So please, believe me, I don't want to RP Twilight. I don't mind romance between characters, just not the whole cliche romance, let it flow naturally between players.

Guidelines:
Keep in mind I am 18 years old. I may swear but I do my best not to haha. My romance image may be different than a younger person's romance and different than an older person's romance. Which is why I try to keep RP character ages at the minimum 18. Like I mentioned before if romance gets all heated take it to PM.

So if this sounds reasonable, or makes you go "Finally! Someone I can RP with!" Then shoot me a PM. If this makes you go "Hmm, I'm not sure about this one." Check my profile and see RPs I am currently in to see examples of how I RP and if it suits you. If this makes you go "Ugh I hate this person I never want to speak to them a day in my life." Hello everyone! My name is SkyShard and I'm new here to the Magistream roleplaying universe, so I thought I might as well get up and moving by participating in 1x1 roleplays. I show a lot of interest in writing and have many ideas but when it comes to writing them down I have trouble sorting my thoughts and the story becomes very one sided. I hope to eliminate this small bump in the road by writing with someone, developing a roleplay, and having fun while doing it.

When it comes to literacy and grammar I am not one hundred percent perfect, but if I was I wouldn't be human. I enjoy writing long posts but only if someone gives me enough from their own to go by; if you only write maybe two-three sentences per post I'm sorry but I don't think I'm the roleplay partner for you, because with such little information the story really can't develop. I can write as little as that but I try not to make it very frequent and only when I have writer's block which I constantly struggle with. I also wouldn't hound anyone who spells a few words wrong or forgets a punctuation mark in each post, as long as I can tell what they're trying to say. I can't say I'll be completely active because I do have a life of my own, but I'll try to post at least once daily, possibly twice on weekends.

Now that I've got the fundamentals out of the way, I can get into the fun part of it all:

Hello there. I'm an experienced role-player looking for a few long-term RP partners with good grammar skills, creativity, flexibility, and oodles of patience & determination to see a role-play to completion. I think it's pretty safe to say I'm a bit of an addict to quality RPs, rather spoiled thanks to my previous partners actually... So I'm looking for a few kind and skilled people to sate my appetite for quality, fun, and long-running RPs.

I have experience in role-playing most literary genres, and a fair number of fandoms - some of which might seem a bit obscure to those unfamiliar with me. I adore playing characters that are non-human, and will readily play male, female, or sexless characters. I play rather well with multiple characters as well.

Post length is something I am always working on improving, but I much prefer a single quality paragraph over three lengthy paragraphs of pointless flowery drivel. Yes I want to know what your character is thinking, when it's relevant to the plot. I don't care about their internal debate of 'cheeseburger vs. chicken nuggets, and do I want fries with that?'

I have several RPs on file that have their basic framework & plot-lines set up, so anyone who has questions or is otherwise interested is welcome to PM me. I'll be happy to suggest a plot or work out a storyline with you.

My name is Sen; I'm new to the site, but not to roleplaying. Tabletop and post by post roleplaying have been hobbies of mine for several years now to nurture my more finicky, particular preferences. Scouring another veteran roleplayer invested in worldbuilding and character creation would be the ideal. I pride myself in giving as good as I get and engendering friendships with my roleplaying partners. I consider IC and OOC feedback equally important to make a game work. I'm willing to plan ahead for long-running plots and have the privilege of late nights to knock our heads together to create new and interesting environments to play in.

Fantasy-geared, non-fandom original settings with human or non-animal characters are my only hardline prerequisites. Swords and sorcery is big with me and the genre I invest myself the most in. I enjoy a good RP and am a sucker for a good plot. So if you feel like your plot idea is pretty dang good, feel free to chuck it lovingly in the direction of my head and I'll see if I like it. If I don't please don't get offended if I say so. I don't do well with RP's when it's a plot i'm not having fun with and eventually I'll just get so bored with it that i'll abandon it. But just because I don't like a certain Idea doesn't mean I wont try to work with you to come up with a fantastic one!

I am fairly literate but due to my bilingual nature in English as well as French, some of my diction and wording might seem a bit strange or confusing. Most of the time it's just a minor thing and it's pretty easy to figure out what I mean.
