Hey, all. I remember this one from a discussion I was having a while back, so I decided to come up with something on the spot in light of the new contest! *cheers for Magistream*

Now, if anyone would be so kind to do the art for me... I'm not able to do pixels all that well.

General Description
Spectral wolves are rarely seen. They have a sense of knowing when something is about to die and seem to be attracted to it. The only time you will spot one in the wild is either in a cemetery or after a direwolf has passed away. The wolves themselves hardly ever lay eggs, if at all. They are never seen in packs and wander the country-side alone. They seem adverse to people and generally avoid towns, although in captivity they can grow quite fond of their Magi and guard him or her very defensively. Little else is known about these ghostly wolves.

Egg
*Image Description*
The egg has a kinda faded look, as if it's see-through, yah know? And it has a mist around it. There's also a small paw-print on it, like the direwolves.
*Actual description*
This egg has a paw-print marking on it and has a spooky feel. An eerie mist seems to float around it.

Hatchling
*Image Description*
The puppy is staring straight at you with ears pricked forward, but the body is at a different angle. The eyes are glowing red. Also, the pup's outline seems to fade into nothing.
*Actual Description*
As you stare at the egg, you notice that the mist surrounding it begins to thicken. Curious, you poke it only to find that your finger has gone straight through the egg. You withdraw and stare at the egg as it seems to fall appart. The mist fades away, and you find yourself staring at a small puppy with glowing red eyes. It stares at you for a little while before curling up and falling asleep. You attempt to pick it up and are suprised that the little wolf floats just above your hand. You feel a shiver run up your spine.

Adult
*Image Description*
The wolf now has it's sleek muzzle held high and is staring at you from the corner of its glowing red eyes. It's tail is also held high and it looks as if it is prancing. It's outline also seems to fade to nothing.
*Actual Description*
Now surrounded by an aura that seems to keep everyone away, the adult spectral wolf seems to make a formidible foe. While you cannot touch it physically, it can touch you in a whole different way. It seems to inflict pain mentally as it stares with its piercing, glowing red eyes at you. Even though its glares seem to hurt you, you notice that it likes following you around and is very protective of you. It can walk through walls and other objects without trouble and seems to have much pride; it holds itself in such a manner. The spectral wolf seems to hold other mysteries about it that cannot be explained....

Yes, we can only have wut, 1 canine? I suggest we eaither get a new wolf, or a new rodent. (Hamster, GinnyPig, Etc.)

actually, we have... three, if you count the albino driewolf. Kitsunes, which are foxes, are canines as well. Just more distantly related.

Foxes are more of a cat like creature, in studys they say foxes are more closly related to the cat, but i may be wrong.

For albinos, i wouldnt count them. There pretty much dires, just albino.
