His step-dad is the worst though. If it weren't for his gay-bashing step-dad I don't think his family would be that upset by it, except maybe his grandma. They're uber-Christians, the type that live their life word for word by what the bible says. I don't know if his step-dad was told or not... I hope not because he'll freak out in a violent manner. If he does, I'll drive my ass to Alabama and kidnap a 17 yr old. I don't care, I'm not going to idly sit by and let him live like that being treated like some freak of nature.

I mean, my parents don't know I'm bi, never have felt a need for them to know. However, if they do find out I don't care. I'm 22 and they have no place to say a damn thing about it yanno?

Okay. Basic sequence of events: someone wrote anti-gay graffiti in some of the bathrooms on campus. Since no one knew who, the school decided to show a documentary called The Anatomy of Hate, which of course included the bigot cult (Westboro Baptists, I just refuse to acknowledge they have a name if I can). Said bigot cult decided that the movie was a good excuse and announced they were going to protest at the college. The college responded by organizing a peace rally (partly to distract/keep away the half of the school's students who were intent on beating the bigot cult up to chase them out) and scheduling a second showing of the movie. Unofficially coordinated, every professor in the school had a rainbow flag taped to their door, most and possibly all of the dorm RAs did too, and most of the professors somehow got ahold of rainbow triangle stickers that they wore. I was in cross country practice so I didn't get to go to the rally, but I saw it, and it looked like literally everyone who wasn't in class/work/practice was there.

Aw! That's so awesome. I freaking hate those westboro freaks. I swear they're a bunch of crazy nutbags, to do the shit they've done, they're definitely screwed up in the head.

I voted to send Para signs that said "If you don't want to stand behind our troops, feel free to stand in front of them" because that moron cult protests at soldier funerals and stuff.

We watched a youtube video in my poetry class (we... tend to get off topic in that class) where one of them was interviewed. By the time two Fox News reporters have to take turns asking questions because they're so furious that they can't go more than a minute without foaming at the mouth and degenerating into screaming nonsense, you've gone a bit too far. And my favorite sign (that I saw) from the rally was "God called, he wants his good name back."
