*wonders why we don't have one of these*
Ah, yes! Reptiles. This will simply be a club/guild for those of us who love reptiles, whether we have them as pets or just watch fence lizards on our porch. Come here for help, generally chat, and share pictures.
Rules: Just follow MS rules. Also, pure stupidity will be shamed; ignorance of things is clearly okay, but thinking a corn snake or most other snakes can eat crickets when they're babies is going to get you a really hard slap. :tard:
Also, I want to note that while pet stores sells reptile and amphibians in the same area, frogs and such are not reptiles and shouldn't be big topics here. Tarantulas, scorpions, millipedes, and other insect pets are going to be allowed because most people don't own those and won't find other enthusiasts that aren't into them and reptiles in general.
EDIT: Aug 28th: Edited the name, since we're reallying focusing on pets here.

I wanna be a Repy luver!
Username: TNHawke aka Hawke
Favorite order of reptiles: Um.... yes? Although I think Squamata also nudges just a bit higher than the others.
Any repy pets?: currently just a red-sided garter snake, but I've had many others.
Code: erm... you never state any kind of code above. So, I'll just post what you did. :tard:
(you also might want to adjust the form a bit, the wiki links aren't links unless we post them as they are.)
I don't have pics of my 'kids' available right now, but I will soon.

Favorite order of reptiles: Honestly, I love all reptiles and would probably have a freakin zoo of them if I had the time/space/money and it weren't illegal to keep some species >.> But I guess Squamata, since all the ones I own personally fit in there.
Any repy pets?: 5 leopard geckos, 2 males & 3 females, and a fire skink (unknown gender, but I believe its a male. Oh well, I call it a him anyway but its hard to tell since they have no visible pores or anything & I'm not going to probe him... )

Spoiler
Dante (my favorite. Male Super Hypo Tangerine Carrot Tail)
^ What he does anytime I go near his tank (if he's awake that is)
Mikko (Male High Yellow)
(Tank is scratched up from when my dad had it & he likes to knock things over - like the moist hide in the back)
He's bad & climbs up onto the top like this most nights. He's the only one I need cage locks for.
Arella (Female Tremper Albino het RAPTOR)
Lumi (Female Mack Snow)
Aurora (Female Mack Snow)
& last but not least, Agni, my fire skink

Re: Reptile Enthusiasts Club
You got some fat leos! I love the ceiling leo and one against the glass.
Oh, and Mockingbird, make sure you get that research done. xD Some snake species stress real bad if you don't offer proper sized prey, or the right kind of prey, and don't offer the right temp of heat. Ball pythons are probably a good example.

Yup, we've got the right type of prey for his size(Small lizards and 'pinkies'). I'm hoping that my room stays the right temperature.ShenziSixaxis wrote:

My friend and I watched him eat a small lizard. It was pretty cool. xD

Re: Reptile Enthusiasts Club
Haha yea, they definitely don't let me skip on the meals. Turned on my light when I came home this evening and all of them start crawling out of whatever they were hiding to stare at me with "food eyes."
I've only ever had one snake, and that was when I was younger. I'm not sure what species it was, my dad was the main person taking care of it. I'd really love a Brazilian Rainbow Boa but my mom is terrified of snakes so that will have to wait until I have my own place.
Summer is fairly annoying, temperature wise. I've got to keep them all warm and me relatively cool so it's a constant battle. x_x All the tanks look a little odd right now, with towels draped almost completely over the tops.

Frozen thawed? Lab bred? And... you don't have a heat source for him..?Mockingbird wrote:Yup, we've got the right type of prey for his size(Small lizards and 'pinkies'). I'm hoping that my room stays the right temperature.ShenziSixaxis wrote:

Wait until bigger prey comes into the picture.
My gecko was so lazy she wouldn't do anything; not even go look for food. She wasn't as fat as your leos, either.helsinkivampiress wrote:Haha yea, they definitely don't let me skip on the meals. Those are [NOT] arboreal and can have bad temperaments. Pretty, but ugh...
I've gotten used to my room always being around 75F.
