Jumping in now, before work. First, thank you guys for setting this up! <3 I have a grown GB female Chain, unnamed right now. I would be happy to breed in my Keep for now, once I have her named I would be more willing to let her go to someone else's Keep. I assume we are going to keep a record of who owns what and the ID numbers?

Count me in!

My elk is still just an egg though, so I don't imagine I'll be much help for a few more days.

I have a chained male named Comet, still a hatchling. I would rather not send mine out of my keep, but if anyone is willing to trade theirs they can be sure they will get it back as soon as I have tried to breed them.

Just a note: If I later get a mate for mine from outside of the guild and any other give-away operations, I might want to sell those offspring at a more reasonable price for people who want extras and are willing to pay. Any elk gotten through this guild in any way, by mating with someone else's elk or by a mate gotten from the guild, would be used for donation only and kept separate. Purely speculation at this point.

Question: Are we going to open a shop give-away thread for the guild? Or just do it through individuals?

Thank you for joining, everybody!

Details still have to be worked out, a register of members with names /ID numbers is a very good idea, could go in the first reserved post. :-)

Liobit, going to add your code to my sig, the faster these beauties grow the faster we can seriously start operations.

Wolfsister, I hadn't thought about a Guild shop or individual threads, yet. Either way is fine by me, discussion and suggestions are more than welcome. And yes, of course, offspring obtained outside the Guild can be used in whatever way :-), the idea was just to have a decent, constant number of elks available as gifts to counter the crazy prices that are springing up...

I would be willing to join, but I don't want to send mine out because of my only naming special (non-trade-able, non-breed-able) creatures habit. Mine is still only an egg though, so we will have to wait a bit to see whether it's a male or female, or even if it's a bell or chain. Personally I'm hoping for a male with bells but I'm hoping to get a breeding pair of each. ^_^

Edit: Here's my egg code

Code: Select all

Thank you both!

No problem, LittleFireCat, a mate can be sent to you instead of you sending it out.
If you want to post the code here (under a 'code' tag) I'll help it hatch. :-)

What IMO we could start off with is post who is willing to breed what (pairs) and a request thread and put them in the order of request and gift them in the order they requested ...The request thread IMO should be separate because if not, this thread will be full of requests. Your second or third post can be edited with the list of requests ..

Good idea, then a guild shop in the Shop sub-section seems a good way to gather requests.
At the moment I'm editing the first reserved post with a list of members and their elks, the second could be for planned breedings and the third for requests.

Anyone is willing to set up the shop?
