Obtaining a Stream Creature

[list]To collect a stream creature, click the link provided above, and simply choose the egg you'd like from the moving stream. It will then appear in your [url=http://magistream.com/mine]Keep[/url][/list]


Accepting a Trade

[list]To accept a trade, visit the link to your trades above, and click on the one from Syndicate, this will appear as [b][u]Waiting for response (from Syndicate to You)[/u][/b] Go down to the bottom of that page, enter your password and press [b][u]Confirm Offer [/u][/b] when you're done it should say [b][u]Waiting for Confirmation (from Syndicate to You)[/u][/b] - This means you've completed the first mission objective! I will confirm the trade from my end once you've done this, and then you can start the third objective. [/list]


Completing the Royal Gift Quest

[list]The quest is named "A Royal Gift" and can be found in the link provided above. 
Start the quest by clicking on A Royal Gift and continue by clicking the [u][b]Accept[/b][/u] button.
It will then take you back to a different page. 
Simply click on "A Royal gift" again and click [u][b]Okay[/b][/u]

This quest will take the lil puppy sent you in your starter kit, but give you a rewin dragon egg, which after the quest will also appear in your keep. The Rewin dragon is worth 30,000 gold so keep a hold of it, and [u][b]don't freeze[/b][/u] it --- You'll need it for the next mission :)[/list]

Self-Hatching your eggs

[list]To hatch your eggs, you'll first need to obtain the right codes/ links for them to appear correctly in the forum. You can obtain the links by clicking the [u][b]Embed Multiple [/b][/u] button, found on the middle, right hand side of the [u][b]Keep page [/b][/u]

Once on the embed multiple page, click on all the creatures you want to grow to add its forum code to the box. When this is done, simply copy the entire contents from [u]within[/u] the box. 

The codes should look something like this:

Now, all you need to do to self-hatch them, is post them in the [u][b]three[/b][/u] click threads found in the [u][b]Reindeer Games[/b][/u] section of the forum. Your mission is to post your eggs in all three of the click threads. The threads you are looking for are titled:

1. Click the eggs of the person above you V71
2. Click My Eggs V. 35
3. Egg Hatcher 2000 V.26

Note: These three threads are the only places you can post your creatures! You may post your eggs here once per page.

Help - Hatch your Eggs

[list]Sometimes it takes ages to hatch your eggs due to hatching rates being much slower for some creatures than others, so some help is always good. You can ask for help in the [b][u]Daycare[/u][/b] section of the forum. Your objective here is to practice posting your eggs in the correct format in my daycare, the [b][u]Beginners Daycare![/u][/b]

To post your eggs in a daycare, you need to put the codes you got from the embed multiple page in a code box, so it should look like this.

Personalising Your About Me 

[list]Your about me page is a great place to store information for your benefit. Many people leave copies of their creature wishlists, looking to buy notes, memorabilia etc. 

Your objective is to update your profile with anything you wish! To edit your About me [u][b]Click on the User Control Panel >> Profile >> About Me[/b][/u] Once your done, hit save, then view your updated profile using the [b][u]View Your Profile[/u][/b] button three links to the right of your messages link

Some people like to add a custom CSS (Cascade Styling Sheet) to have a profile like my own. You can find a bunch of free CSS Sheets in the bottom of [url=http://magistream.com/27-hall-of-the-arts/126153-rosehill-s-freebie-graphics.html#p13172882]this post here, by Rosehill[/url] if you see one here you like, simply copy the code from within the corresponding spoiler. Once you've copied the code, go back to your [u][b]User Control Panel >> Profile [/b] [/u] scroll to the bottom of this page and paste all the code you just copied in the box below your birthday. Hit save and wallah!

Setting an Avatar

[list]Rosehill again, has some free avatars that you can use [url=http://magistream.com/27-hall-of-the-arts/126153-rosehill-s-freebie-graphics.html#p13172880]Here[/url] if you don't already have your own. Simply copy the code for the image you want to use, head back to your [b][u]User Control Panel >> Profile >> Edit Avatar [/u][/b] and paste the code in the [b][u]Upload from a URL:[/u][/b] Section. Then you're done!

Adding A Signature

[list] Your signature is the most effective way of carrying around your egg codes and advertising. By now you should be familiar on where to find the option [b][u]Edit Signature[/u][/b]. Your objective is to put your egg codes in your signature!

Finding Out How Much Your Creatures Are Worth

[list]As a general guide, most stream creatures are worth much less than creatures that are harder to obtain, such as quest creatures. The two places to find out what your creatures are worth can be found here, on [url=http://magistream.com/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=11169]Master Belmos Profile[/url] under the first spoiler, and also by searching the species name of your creature in the thread titled [b][u]The "How much is it worth?" Thread [/u][/b] in the [b][u]Waynal[/u][/b] section of the forum.

Purchasing from the Shops

[list]At the moment you have access to three shops

- The Donation Shop
- Remys Inn
- Trading Post

The Donation shop requires the special currency shards obtained through donating real money. Remys Inn and the Trading Post are both stores where you can spend your gold. 

Your objective is to find and purchase one [b][u]Rewin Dragon[/u][/b] from the shops. You'll be growing this one as a mate for the one you obtained from the quests!

Using the Bestiary

[list]The [b][u]Bestiary[/u][/b] is where all the information on every species is kept. You can find the bestiary above, and to the slight left of the logout button. 

Your objective here is to practice using the Bestiary by searching for the [b][u]Telvian Panther.[/u][/b] Click the link to go to the creature page. Pay close attention to the Telvian Panther Egg as you will need to find this egg in your next objective.

Stream Cleaning

[list]There are 146 species of creatures that are obtainable through the stream. The stream refreshes every on every hour :15 : 30  and : 45, and any eggs taken are instantly replaced by others. It is often difficult to find the creature you need which is where stream cleaning comes in. 

Stream Cleaning refers to the process of collecting and freezing stream creatures you don't need in order to find ones you do. 

For this objective:
1. Create another tab called "Growing" and place all your unfrozen eggs in this tab (to avoid accidentally freezing your valuable creatures)
2. Collect and [b][u]Freeze[/u][/b] stream creatures by hitting the freeze button next to the creature you don't want until you find a Telvian Panther Egg
3. Don't freeze the Telvian Panther egg. We need this egg to start the next quest :)

The Travelling Prophet

[list]A Travelling Prophet is the second magistream quest for you to complete. Now that you've already learned how to complete a quest during the Royal Gift, this objective will be less guided!

The quest you are looking for can be found at the [b][u]Alasre Mountains[/u][/b] in the [b][u]World[/u][/b] link next to your keep. The Quest name is [b][u]The Travelling Prophet.[/u][/b]

Your aim is to complete the quest to obtain the two prizes. You've already obtained the Telvian Panther Egg in the last mission set! The quest will take this egg from you. 
 
Note: There is a different creature for each of the places, but you may only choose two.

Sending a Trade

[list]Stream - cleaning results in a lot of waste eggs. Some people like to collect them but most people send them to Master Belmos to be unfrozen and grown. 

This objective is completely optional!

Start a trade with "[b][u]Master Belmos[/u][/b]" and click on all the frozen eggs you don't want. Once this is done, press save changes. Check the trade to make sure it's right and then confirm the trade! Once Master Belmos confirms his side, you'll have to confirm it once more.

Breeding your Creatures

[list]Breeding creatures are a great way to expand your keep, or to produce hybrids. Not all creatures create hybrids. You can check the bestiary to find out which creatures do/don't. The success of breeding your creatures is based on chance with some species having a higher success rate than others.

Your objective here is to try breed your new Koi fish and Ibex pair using the breed button next to your creature. 

Creatures wether successful or not, can only be bred once every three days. This duration is called the cool-down period.

Introduction to the Magistream Community

[list]Magistream has a good forum base with many places to socialise. The most common place to socialise is the [u][b]How Was Your Day Thread[/b][/u] found under the [b][u]Community Discussion Forum.[/u][/b] Here you can post anything almost anything you like, as long as it's within the rules. 

The next most common place is the [b][u]Reindeer games[/u][/b] section. Here you can find a tonne of forum games to play, as well as the click threads you posted in earlier. 

Your objective here is to find and post in the [u][b]How Was Your Day Thread[/b][/u] and to find one game (or more if you wish) in the [b][u]Reindeer games[/u][/b] and post a reply.    [/list]


Introduction to Guilds

[list]There are currently three guilds on Magistream. The Herbalist Guild, Society of the Trident and the Dark Brotherhood. 
Joining a guild gives you access to another shop where you can purchase creatures specific to that guild. You can currently only be a part of [b][u]ONE[/u][/b] guild at any time but can choose to change guilds for a cost of 100,000g later.
