So I'm watching support links for Awakening and Fates and just... Why don't people like Odin/Owain? Are they just too normal for him? Like, Azura's all: "Omg weird spell thing, stop pls," and Robin's just: "Stop talking like that, I don't speak weird," Leo be like: "no fun things anymore," and so on. Can they not appreciate his special uniqueness? He's probably the only character who, if they were real, I'd spend time with. Even Chrom doesn't get that from me. What is wrong with everyone?!

I think the connotation of 'chuunibyou' people might be a little harsher in Japan. Like instead of seeing someone having a bit of harmless, if embarrassing fun, it appears more like seeing someone so immature they believe that they have special powers, etc. Personally I think Owain/Odin is hilarious, though.

It's also important to consider that in both games, they're in the middle of a gigantic war. And though we, as the player, know that Owain actually acts like that because it's his coping mechanism (cue angst), to everyone else it seems like he's making light of a very serious situation.

On the other topic. I like Owain/Odin, but a let's player ruined him for me By praising him through the roof and just laughing obnoxiously when anything happened with them. It was so cringe worthy
I'm forced to think of a new personality for him just because of it, lik, he tries to be this serious person, but at times he just sees something and completelly loses it, going all silly and childish

WAIT YOOOOO FIRE EMBLEM THREAD, last post was b4 three houses and engage came out so to kick this off what r ur opinions on the latest two games? both games are vv important to me as i spent my teen years growing up with three houses(basically for its whole life span for 4 years until engage release) and engage is at this point in time my favorite fe ive played period even more so than three houses but i love both very dearly yaya
