So I've noticed.
Perhaps if I improve some people will be more willing to pay what I think it's worth.

I AM AN ARTIST, I WANT TO JOIN!
Username: BBkat
Art medium: Digital(Photoshop mostly) I also tend to dabble in photography as well
Website/dA: http://icypheonix.deviantart.com/
Inspiration/Favorite artist: I dunno, my favourite artists form art history are Monet and Van Gogh but for more modern artists, I dunno xD I like a lot of people's art
Anything else?: Erm, I'm 2 weeks away from finishing up a 2 year college art course and no, I have no idea what I'm going to do after so don't ask. I love my tablet to death and my camera :t-swoon:
I've also done several commissions for people here on MS. I also make banners for the Army Base and have made banners/buttons and such for people on here.

Spoiler
Ok, so the other day a conversation in the HWYD thread sprung up about the, poor quality of a sprite-wonky anatomy, poor shading and the fact that it was rushed- on another site and I got the dumb idea to try my hand at spriting. I am not a sprite artist, the best I can do are recolours and splices, certainly not scratch sprites.
So, I ended up spriting this- Image
It started out as a young sheep, but I turned it into an Ariessa for whatever reason xD The coloured blobs are supposed to be flower buds  since Ariessa have flowers on them.
I am quite proud of it for 6 hours of work considering I've never done a sratch sprite before. And yeah, it has derp issues, like shading(wool is very hard to shade) and anatomy(dem hooves man, so annoying)

I think it's really good! Sure, it needs polishing, but for a person who says they don't do scratch sprites, it's great.

I didn't know you were in college O.o /checks age

Username: WolfeDente (Often Changes though. Was Sasha789987 and WolfHeartedOne)
Art medium: Traditional. Graphite, colour pencil, and I used to do bannerish things, but the site I used to use doesn't work...
Website/dA: I don't have one, but I am wondering if it is worth it?
Inspiration/Favorite artist: My inspiration, no matter how cheesy it sounds, is the animals. Just looking at them makes me happy, so I draw them.
Anything else?: Mostly animals, sometimes cars, planes ect. Never people. Tell me if a Deviant Art is worth it to have...?

Well thanks. Once I had a sketch drawn on a bottom layer the outline wasn't as hard to do as I thought(though the butt refused to curve properly for a while). It was the shading that really frustrated me. Especially with the wool being curly and fluffy. And no decent tutorials seem to exist on how to shade stuff like that so I had to use the Ariessa sprites for reference.

XD Yeah I'm 20(21 in October)

Welcome bb, wind, and Wolfe!
(Yay, 16 members! I think we'll have a special art contest to celebrate 25 members, what do you guys think? )
I shall be adding soon.

Wind, I'd pay more than 200k for your art, though I don't have that much. Even after Erika gave me 100k yesterday.

I also have a giveaway that I'm hosting, and I'm collecting for the guild also.
So maybe its the fact that we don't have the gold, opposed to not thinking its worth that much.

Also, speaking about ages, how old are you guys?
Age might surprise you.

Haha, I'm 13, turning 14 in July, so I'm still a year 9 student.

I'm 18 and I'm just about finished my first year of university. After my second year I get to go to an art College for 2 years...that will be so sweet. I so want to try out pottery and silversmithing.
I will soon be turning 19 on the 6th of may. 19 is the legal age for alcohol consumption in Canada...
But I don't drink so that doesn't matter to me.

Yeah, eastern Canada. Nova Scotia To be specific.

Man, I really need to invest in a scanner. It's too much of a hassle to take pictures with my phone and email them to myself. The photos don't even come out that well. :|
Anyway, I did a quick doodle earlier and I figured I would share what little I got done with it;

I'm sixteen, almost seventeen. I live in Kansas. >.<

And damn Wind! Quick doodle my butt! I wish my quick doodles looked like that. My quick doodles are messy/extremely hard to understand lines and I don't hardly ever ink them out lol.

Welcome all new members~ <3
